Help! Accidentally wiped my Custom rom and Twrp 3.0.2 wont boot! STUCK on nvidia logo - Shield Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sir, please do help me. My custom rom was CM lollipop, i updated it to its latest version but it didnt turn out well, it only stayed on its nvidia logo. So i tried to go to twrp recovery Version 2.8.7, so i thouht that the latest version of CM did not work because of my outdated twrp. so i did flash the 3.02 version of twrp, but sadly it didnt work, the same it only stays on nvidia logo
I tried installing the twrp .img using the ADB, but the fact that i cant open developers settings dew to wiped rom. So can please if there is someone who can help me. !

Flash it using fastboot while in the bootloader, not adb.

Just download the latest recovery for your device and flash it the same way you did with TWRP. (Could try a newer version of TWRP if available cwm or philz as well if there available)

No you have to flash the other recovery though fastboot using your computer. Not though your current recovery.

Stock recovery after OTA update

Hi guys.
So i was on the latest version of CM11s, rooted with supersu and with the latest version of TWRP recovery installed.
I got the ota update for CM12 and proceeded to install it with the option to update recovery unchecked as i did many times before.
To my surprise after the update i've noticed that i have now the stock recovery. So i fastboot flashed TWRP again but it seems to not work. Of course it says that the file transfer and the flashing is done while on fastboot mode.
Any clues? Thanks
I managed to find my answer. Thank you guys for your unlimited support <3

Hey,
the problem is that starting from Cyanogen OS 12 the system always overrides the custom recovery. TWRP has a feature for patching the system not doing that. All you have to do is to flash TWRP via fastboot and then immediately boot into recovery! If TWRP shows up, it'll automatically patch the system

[HELP] can't open twrp recovery

Hi everyone,
I was trying to root my nexus 5 MOB30M
unlocked bootloader, install twrp(3.0.2) and selected read only and powered off my phone through twrp options.
Now when i try to get into recovery a dead android with red exclamation comes up. I have no clue what to do.
Should i flash the twrp image again?
or any solution? Please help me out. :crying:
You should just try to reflash twrp. If your phone is rooted, you can flash it through the twrp app and if its not you can try Wugfreshs Root Toolkit to reflash the recovery using your PC.
If that doesn't work then you could try flash a different recovery first (like cwm) and then reflash twrp. Also you should allow twrp to make modifications instead of leaving it read only.
Hope this helps & Good luck!

thank you for the reply. i haven't rooted yet. i was just about to copy the su binaries and this happened. well i will try installing twrp again.

No problem! Let me know if you have issues and I'll try help.
You need to boot into twrp right after flashing without rebooting; otherwise, stock recovery will overwrite twrp.
Thank you guys for the help.
My recovery partition was damaged, i re flashed twrp as @Rooted Droid suggested and i'm out of problems and my device is rooted. Thank you for all the help. You guys are great.

I manged to install superSU on my moto g 3rd gen (XT1550).It gave the error "superSU binaries not found"
So I installed superSU 2.65.Now my phone is stuck on bootloader warning. However I can still go to TWRP. Trouble is,installing the previous superSU is not helping either.
Please tell me what went wrong and how can I fix it.Its my first time so I apologise for any newbie mistake here. Thanks for help.

Not sure what you're saying, but once you unlock the bootloader you will get a long bootloader warning unless you flash a boot logo.

The phone is stuck on bootloader warning. The step you mentioned points out how to remove the warning screen. My phone was stuck on it until its battery ran out. I have today installed superSU 2.62 beta and did what Tassusian did. While the phone now boots after the warning,it is stuck on the motorola logo screen.I'm waiting to see what it does next. Thanks for the reply though. It is good to see a helping hand.

Try to install a different rom ! Clean flash that ROM hopefully that will solve the bootloop issue !
(Clear the system while clean flashing ) and after booting the whole rom then instal root (superSU/magisk)zip file in twrp.

What are you installing SuperSU TO? Have you flashed a ROM? Flash a different ROM. Some repeat of above post @Mohammed Siamwala . Avoid majisk until you fix this.- I find it buggy sometimes.
I suspect I have corrupted my ROM somehow.
Installing superSU 2.62 Beta seems to boot it but it still gets stuck at the motorola logo screen.Which ROM should I use and how do I install it?Thanks for diagnosing the problem.:good:

Make sure:

click the thing that says not to install the TWRP app when rebooting
take a screenshot of error (same way as in ROM) and post it.

Does anyone have a link to the twrp img file, or any other custom recovery, i cant find it anywhere, all the links just point to the flash tool but it doesn't contain the twrp img file?

That noverity.zip disables a mechanism in the boot partition that verify the boot itself and the system partition, when you install twrp a little bit of the boot partition is altered and so the boot is blocked.
Install the zip using twrp. You can take a look at this (https://www.getdroidtips.com/twrp-recovery-ulefone-s8-pro/), but if I remember well, that s8 pro toolkit app is the one that asks you to install the zip

Have tried on both v3. 01 & v3. 03 firmwares. Stock firmware wasn't downloaded directly from ulefone site, imagine it will be the same but will give it a go.
