Is there any way that we could lock our android phone from rooting
Related
Hi,
Phone in question is Tmobile G2
I have had temp root access for sometime and used it to freeze apps that I did not trust/etc.
I had wanted to get perm root but the wiki instructions were a little bit too haphazard for me and I did not wish to have to downgrade off gingerbread.
Someone said there was a newer way that did not require a downgrade and you unlocked the bootloader from htc web site. Well I did that and somehow it's mucked up temp root access as Titanium no longer works.
How could unlocking bootloader screw this up?
Think I am ok now. It was superuser that was messed up. New version requires yes/no (or default set to yes) before Tbackup will get root access.
To anyone else with a G2 that was frustrated with these unclear wiki instructions/downgrading/etc:
It appears that unlocking the boot loader does in fact give you perm root access.
Go to htcdev to unlock your phone. You will need the superuser app but that should be it.
Now just need a good firewall to stop these programs from using my data anytime they please. Any good recommendations?
hello i'm new with sony phones i want root xzp and don't see good way to do so..
i had lg g3 and i rooted it with kingroot someone try this method or sameway similar? and for don't get a break for root do i must unlock the bootloader or its only for install different recovery???
It's currently not possible to root without unlocking your bootloader, and if you do that, you'll lose various features (notably most camera modes). You'd be wise to wait.
I'm running Nougat with the latest security patches. I was just curious if there was any way to obtain root now. I used to have an N920V and had no luck ever finding a root for that. I remember a while back using the Dirtycow exploit on an unrelated phone that I thought was unrootable and I had root till I restarted my device and bricked it completely. I don't think I'm really brave enough to attempt this on my s6, but I was just wondering if there was any way in the world to completely gain root access and unlock the bootloader. I'd love to get a custom rom on this and get it running like new. Thanks for reading.
Hello. i am trying to root my phone so i can recover files that i have lost. I have tried several softwares and most of them needed my phone to be rooted. I do not want to unlock my oem locker as a factory reset may overwrite some deleted data.
i have seen some rooting apps such as kingo root and king root so i was wondering if it was perfectly fine using these apps on my phone.
thanks!
It's basically IMPOSSIBLE to root the phone without unlocking the bootloader without exploits. And no king root does not support the J4+
Do you know any exploits I should use?

@elliwigy Extreme Syndicate Root possible?
I just received a brand new unlocked Pix2 without any carrier on Oreo 8.0.0 and do not wish to update to any new Android version.
What is the simplest way to gain root? Can I do this without unlocking the bootloader?
I do not intend on unlocking BL just for purity's sake and so that apps do not detect it ever was unlocked and so it goes undetected even to Google.
I have heard there are ways to gain root (like my old nexus one) such as apps that allow you to gain root temporarily until you restart the device!
Is this still available? I only need root one time to delete system apps and do other configurations to the stock rom.
That is all I need, then once I restart Android the root is gone as if nothing happened but with the modifications and system app deletion intact.
Can this be done? What is the best alternative? Any suggestion for my usage case?
