Tool for unlocking Android pattern\bypass google lock screen - Other Tools & General Discussion

I recently got locked out of my phone with debugging off,no wifi and no root.
Since i see lots of the same question i'm posting another tool i found for all those in need.
If you are also locked out with none of these options there are a few steps you will have to take first
I followed lots of helpful tutorials here on xda which led me to:
1- CF Root phone through Odin, doesn't require debugging on. (CWM included)
2-When in CWM recovery use ADB to activate USB Debugging.
(You can also try to turn on wifi etc and see if that solves it for you)
Unfortunately i was not able to unlock my phone in ADB although maybe for some different models the adb methods might work. Allthough i was able to remove the lock screen in setting,in my case i still got the email lock screen even after the pattern was removed.
But with Debugging on i was now able to use this wonderful tool created by GSM EXTREME.
It really is a one click unlocker.
I was not able to find version information but this is the latest one i found.
You can download it here

[Q] Bootloader help, and phone not appearing on PC

I rooted my device (ATT HTC One XL), but now I can't seem to be able to find it in my device manager. When I plugged it in to root it using this method, it appeared just fine. However, now that it's rooted (used root checker to make sure), it isn't appearing on my computer. USB debugging is on, and I've tried multiple USB ports and PC connection types (currently using charge-only). What am I doing wrong? I also can't seem to be able to find USB connection mode options in the notification pull-down. The phone is, however, charging, and the LED light is green.
I am also trying to unlock bootloader using these instructions, but I can't find the "Unlock-Bootloader.bat" file mentioned. I'm assuming they meant the "Spoof-CID.bat" file, which I ran, but it gets stuck at "Restarting ADB."
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I'm running 4.0.3 and 1.85. Irrelevant, but will upgrading to 4.1 or 4.0.4 conflict with root/bootloader, and how would I achieve this upgrade?
Do not upgrade to 4.0.4 before unlocking and getting g superCID. You probably need an updated driver just download it from htcdev and retry

I can't seem to find the appropriate drivers on htcdev.com. I also tried to download the drivers here*, however since device manager doesn't recognize my phone, I can't install the drivers manually.
*since I'm too green to post links, here:

Bumping the thread, I want to be able to figure out the solution to be able to interact between my phone and PC, such as copying files over and the like.

Broken screen & digitizer, help with adb?

So I have an encrypted Nexus 5 loaded with TWRP custom recovery. Unfortunately, the screen and digitizer are broken. I see there is a tool to control my phone from my computer, but it requires usb debugging enabled. I also see I can enable usb debugging from adb, and I can see just barely enough to get into recovery mode from the bootloader. However, I am unable to see or enter the pin for the screen pattern from TWRP (because of the encryption). I do have access with fastboot at the bootloader. Am I out of luck or is there any way to proceed at this stage?
I think I could use fastboot to flash a kernel with usb debugging enabled, but so far I haven't found any kernels that fit the bill.
Aha. Was able to follow directions from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62398797&postcount=213 to edit the stock boot.img. This post had a little more explanation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62398797&postcount=213

[Completed] Can't access phone due to screen lock from Android Device Manager unable to reset pw

Basically what had happened was I was out on Friday night, drunkenly gave my phone to my friend to keep safe, and then totally forget about it. Fast forward to me panicking and immediately setting a password lock using Android Device Manager. For some reason when setting a password remotely from your PC it can be as long as you want, but when typing it in my phone there was a limit, meaning I could not get in.
Why don't you just use ADM again to reset your password and put a new one?! Well apparently they don't let you form a new password once there is one already locked on your phone. Why don't you try unlocking it via findyoursamsung?! I didn't create a samsung account when prompted to. (hindsight is 20/20)
I also tried some other third-party backup apps such as Kies3 and Samsung Watch, both of which required the phone to be unlocked to function - which is also why I can't simply just connect my phone via USB and drag the data into a folder.
This lead me to doing a ton of research and it seemed the only way to get my pictures and videos back without resetting my phone would be through those coding programs and ADB and such. I am not well versed in this area at all so I looked at a bunch of sites explaining what to do.
From my limited understanding, it came down to a few things:
- My device is a Samsung Galaxy S4, probably kit kat or jelly bean. It is neither rooted nor does it have the "USB debugging" enabled
- I have successfully installed CWM (clockwork mod) and ADB (android debugging bridge) onto my computer/phone because apparently when CWM goes into recovery mode, the debugging is automatically enabled, where I'd then be able to unlock the screen (but I don't seem to know how to input adb commands - where would I do this?!)
- I installed a few other programs that were of no use to me because I had (almost) no idea how to use them (Cygwin, Odin, JOdin3, Heimdall) in conjunction with ADB and the "Download" mode on my phone to flash CWM to be my "custom Recovery" instead of the stock recovery
- I saw there were some third party apps that would automatically (?) unlock your phone screen for you but I wasn't too keen on trusting them seeing as most of thm were outdated , so unless you guys recommend one I would rather not download those
- I think my main issue is not knowing how to simply bring up a terminal and input commands but sometimes they wouldn't even recognize my device (probably because USB debugging is disabled)
I have been infront of my computer for almost a whole day now trying everything and reading everything simply trying to figure out what to do. I have looked at way too many guides and could probably recite them to you. I guess the point of this is I really would prefer not to lose this data as it has a lot of sentimental value, so I'm straying away from those methods that require you to wipe your phone. If any of you know any helpful sites or guides (I probably have seen them) that explains things very formally and easy to understand, let me know, I will be forever gracious for your help.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
A bit of a doozy....
This thread may help:
> Samsung Galaxy S 4 i9500, i9505, i9505G, i9506 > Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [RESOLVED] HELP please!! Unable to unlock device locked by Google Device Manager
May need to modify solution two to use under CWM. That is, mount data via adb (or via recovery if there's an option) before issuing (the rest of) the adb commands.
By the way, here is a primer to adb:
http://www.xda-developers.com/all-in-one-guide-to-adb/
Hope this helps, and good luck!

[Completed] I have messed up, I don't know where to turn. HTC One M8 softbricked in Bootloop.

I have an HTC One m8 that is stuck on Bootloader. It is an unlocked bootloader with S-Off. I had CWM but I installed stock recovery back onto the phone before flashing a stock kernel (I was trying to make the phone look untampered with before I turned it over to my provider), the Kernel came with a sha1 and was from a trusted website and I am 100% sure it was the right compatible Kernel I'm pretty sure I just had a bad flash.
I have tired the following to get the phone past the bootloader:
1. Fastboot USB Mode --> Try to get ADB to recognize the device --> Debugging mode isn't on (obviously) --> ADB can't recognize the device.
2. Use AndroidSDKSlim/ Android SDK tools / Android Utility to remotely turn on Debugging mode (I got nowhere with this)
3. Attempted to use PdaNet to remotely turn on Debugging mode (got nowhere)
4. HTC Sense doesn't even know whats going on
I just need to get TWRP or CWM or litearlly Any recovery installed. That's all I need, I can do everything from there. I can't remotely install a recovery via adb because adb can't recognize my device because I can't turn Debugging mode on because my device is softbricked!!! Gahhhh. I haven't been able to come up with a way to remotely enable debugging mode or to get adb to recognize my device.
Any ideas/comments/suggestions would be heavily appreciated - I've resourced from every relevant thread I could find. Posting here was a last resort I try to fix things on my own but I'm too many days into this with no results please anybody.

[Q] FRP lock help--j700T Marshmallow

Hello,
I wonder if someone would help me FRP unlock my phone. It is a T-mobile sm-J700t 2015. I have searched the forum but don't see a clear answer.
I have tried (from Youtube) the USB cable method, the camera method and flashing the 10/2016 stock firmware through ODIN. In Odin I get an error: "Complete(Write) operation failed". I cannot turn on USB debugging of course because I cannot get into the device. Haven't tried updating with Kies yet because I'm nervous they'll patch any additional back doors I could try.
I am somewhat experienced at flashing and such and I think there must be a way to completely wipe the device and flash new firmware but I don't see instructions for that.
Thanks in advance!
Odin v3.10.7 & v3.12.3
Recovery: Haven't changed
USB installed from Samsung Kies (made sure Kies isn't running)
Firmware: J700TUVU2APJ3_J700TTMB2APJ3_TMB.tar.md5
Where I got firmware: https://qc3.androidfilehost.com/dl/...224401143/J700TUVU2APJ3_J700TTMB2APJ3_TMB.zip
Anyone? Still locked out of my phone. :crying:
Reboot normaly > go to settings > developer setting > oem unlock check yes
#gggirlgeek
Reboot normaly > go to settings > developer setting > oem unlock > check yes
I can't get into the phone at all. It is FRP (Google) locked because I did a factory reset from recovery. I can only manipulate it from PC or stock recovery. I have ADB, Odin and Samsung Kies on my PC if that helps.
What is the reason I am getting the ODIN error: "Complete(Write) operation failed"? Is it due to the FRP lock?
If not, would flashing the same stock firmware even help? (I have read that it's not possible to flash older firmware versions.)
Is the boot partition where the FRP status is stored? Is it possible to flash a new boot image to reset it?
I assume flashing a custom recovery would be useless? I doubt it could be done without USB debugging/ADB being enabled anyway.
One of the reason for that odin error is flashing an old build of stock ROM, your guess is right
Even if you are able to flash a stock FW via ODIN you'll still not be able to boot to your OS.
You have to login using the same google id that was previously logged in
OR you have to bypass the Google Account Login Screen.
There are varous method on youtube (i know you saw them) to bypass that screen (Side Sync method worked for me at the 10th attempt) inorder to install a 3rd party app either to
1. enable the developer option or enable OEM unlock ( to flash custom ROM or custom recovery)
OR
2. to overwrite the previous google account saved with your new account details. (THIS ONE HELPED ME)
WITH FRP LOCK ON, ODIN SHOULD NOT GIVE YOU ERROR ONLY IF YOU ARE FLASHING STOCK ROM. BUT STILL YOU WILL BE LOCKED WITH GOOGLE ACCOUNT LOGIN SCREEN BECAUSE OF FRP LOCK ON AND STOCK ROM
FRP info. is saved in Sboot. Flashing a new sboot works only for devices those were never upgraded to Android 6. For J7 2015 that was upgraded to android 6, flashing Sboot bricks the phone as said by a cell phone repair agent

Sid
@saddam.khan999 : Thank you so much for replying. This is helpful. :highfive:
What did you do to get the sidesync to work? Mine wouldn't even connect to Sidesync on my PC.
Tried different USB ports, and even different PC's to get it to pop up on the phone. Tried old usb drivers too. Sidesync never senses it, and My Computer only show MTP folder that won't accept any file pasted to it.
You did this with Android 6.0.1 October 2016 update? They fix more holes every time.
Also, can you give me the link to the unlock tutorial you used with Sidesync? Just want to compare my method.

I followed below step to fix popup issue
1. Uninstall all samsung apps like, Kies, SmartSwitch, SideSync everything.
2. Uninstall Samsung USB drivers
3. Install SmartSwicth (to get best drivers)
4. Now install SideSync (latest)
5. Open SideSync and check for OTA updates in your PC (update it if available)
I give up. I'm going to pay somebody. He can use one of those low-level programs to unlock it remotely. It only costs $15. Well worth it. Wish me luck!

Not so simple.
During FRP Lock you are restricted to the google sign in page, locked out of everything else. Cannot even pull down the status bar. So no way to get to settings.
This can be done via ADB , but only if you had USB Debugging enabled prior.
I just obtained a used J7000T1 and FRP lock is activated , Even on the bootloader it displays "FRP Locked" . USB Debugging was never enabled .
If I find a way , I'll post. Any one have luck yet?
Once " FRP Locked " is off the bootloader, I'm sure we can just load a recovery / rom via Odin .... But that's where I am a stuck of course.

I had this happen last Feb when I got the phone and was trying to install twrp, and it says frp lock when I tried flashing the recovery tar via odin. I literally took out the battery rebooted back into the OS and turned on oem unlock and USB Debugging and it was fine then when I flashed twrp. I have never heard of this other issue u speak of. The phone has an unlocked bootloader to begin with. If u are stuck in a Google sign in page, I would download the Samsung z3 tool and make sure u have drivers installed and unlock the frp that way.it does have an option for frp lock

Click to collapse
Thanks.
Drivers are installed.
Just cannot move from the google sign in.
There is a guide that shows how to use a USB drive with a shortcut apk on it , hooked up via OTG and is able to open settings. Although that did not work for me as well...
Maybe N version is different than MM ?
Almost the same problem here.....but in my j700f, I can't boot to recovery at all...can't flash stock firmware also due frp locked
