As i said above i have a samsung galaxy j700 f amd it is rooted have trwp as recovery.
I want to know how to update it via smart switch and if twrp will be replace during the process..
Thanks
Smart switch is painful. You'll need an internet connection. Aaand lots of time. Why not download the rom and use Odin.
You lose trwp and root either way.
Check on www.updato.com for a fast download. You can even use a download accelerator ?

Hi zikofurito
I'll assume you've already installed the Samsung USB drivers and have already installed Odin.
Download the MM ROM from www.updato.com J700F MM ROMS
Download TWRP from here Latest J7 (2015) TWRP
And SuperSU SuperSu 2.78
Make a backup first!
Then you can follow the steps in this thread to flash galaxy-j7_tutorial-how-to-install-twrp-recovery

Hi @dodo2244
I bought a J700f in Iran but it has been fabricated for other region ( I thhink Taiwan ) . I updated the Rom to Iran region Rom (THR) now It getting hot even in Shut down mode (Power off) . I guess may be the IRAN region Rom is not Suitable for this Phone I want to return to original rom but I want to be sure of the correct one . So my Question is How to determine the original region of my cellphone?
I don't know how to do that.
Hmm .... why didn't you try a Thailand THL MM ROM?

Tnx for reply. I found that my phone region have been Taiwan (not thailand). Do you think flashing thailand MM rom will not damage it as now I have overheating problem with Iran LP rom, although I'm not sure the problem is Rom related.
Then flash flash a Taiwan MM Rom before you give up.

Hmmm. I thought that CF-Autoroot had updated my firmware when I applied it. Is there a step by step tut somewhere? Like, which file goes where...
Aaah, forgot. Does updating delete any files? I wouldn't want to completely set up my phone from scratch.

Mate, you can download official 4.2.2 firmware form here. It's not important for which country the ROM is made. Languages are the same in every one of them.
Odin is a small tool for flashing an OFFICIAL firmware and it's super easy. If you have problems with it, you can contact me on Private Message.
After you flash 4.2.2 your device may not be rooted, and you have to root it again to install the custom CM 11 ROM.
I am using Resurection Remix ROM 4.4 Kitkat and I'm happy with it at the moment. But when #build 6 of CM11 (unofficial of course) is released, for sure I'm gonna try it!
Hope I helped you. Cheers!
P.S - If you are not sure of what you make, better contact me or post a topic. I see you are a newbie here, so don't be afraid.
