Can the Asus Zenpad be used for Android Development? - General Questions and Answers

Hi, I am looking at getting an ASUS 10.1" ZenPad 10 Z300M 16GB Tablet, but I read a review on BHPhoto that said you have to use "sharelink" to move files around. That made me afraid I'd need something proprietary for development. In the past, I've only had to enable a developer or debug mode and upload the application.
Can *any* Android tablet be used for development?
Does anyone know about the Asus Z300M?
Thanks. I like the Samsung, but they are expensive, so this one seemed good. It had Marshmallow and was cheaper.

Going to buy a tablet within the next week or so... Grid10?

And I'm honestly thinking about getting the Grid10. The Grid10 + case + USB cable is still $20 less than the Transformer (without a case, or the dock), which was the other tablet I'm considering.
Is there any reason I shouldn't get the Grid10? Better price point for similar specs. It can sideload Android APKs, and it uses the Amazon App Store, and the OS is something that really seems to flow nicely in all the hands on videos I've seen.
Since it's based on the Android kernel, it won't be another Playbook or Touchpad, since all Android apps theoretically work on the Grid10. The only thing I'm worried about is all the negative comments I've been reading about Fusion Garage and their previous tablet. I already know I'd enjoy an Android tablet.
I am currently the owner of an original Galaxy Tab, so really, anything is an upgrade at this point (Not having a tablet OS on a tablet is really awful)
This will be my next tablet, I have been watching the Grid10 for a while now. It looks smooth and responsive to the touch. I currently own the touchpad and an Android tablet. I am planning on getting the 3g version. Fast enough for me.
On the @FusionGarage twitter, I asked a few qustions that I've been unable to find answers to:
"@FusionGarage Quick question, is the usb cable a must? Can you sync/transfer files via wifi? "
Reply: "@steckums We are currently working on an application that will sync your content via WiFi, but right now you need the USB cable. "
"@FusionGarage Good to hear. One more: how compatible is it with Android APKs? Is it essentially able to sideload any (honeycomb!?) app?"
Reply: "@steckums Yes, you can sideload any Android app, including Honeycomb apps."

does anyone here have modded rom for this china tablet
APAD2 with call function
i am planning to buy by the end of the month and i want it flashed with better firmware.
please someone help me
So I have heard that GridOS is based on android 2.3. If that is the case how are they running any honeycomb apps? My guess is that older versions of GridOS (pre-production) were based on 2.3 and the production version is based on honeycomb. What are other people's thoughts on this?
I bought the wifi only version - it should arrive tomorrow. I've just read a less than stunning review from Engadget though, so now I'm leery...

Lenovo S2110 vs Asus Transformer Prime?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone can give me purchase advice: Asus Transformer TF201 (used with 32gb microsd for $300) vs Lenovo S2110 (New for $365). I like having root, but I don't need a new rom. I only want to be able to take off what I want with Titanium Backup. I want to use it basically in place of a laptop, mainly for entertainment and taking notes. Possibly programming but that's basically word processing too.
Android version doesn't really matter to me... my phone is an A885 droid so it has Android 2.3.
If this is in the wrong section, I'm sorry. Figured going to each individual forum is more biased than not.
*Edit* I've also located a T300 with Dock and SD card for $300. Does the T300 take the cake?

2-User Limit on Asus ZenPad S 8.0?

Just bought the Asus ZenPad S 8 Z580C (2GB/32GB version), and am liking it, but just discovered that Asus seems to have a nasty habit of limiting the number of users on their devices to only two. It's a really, really disappointing limitation. So, a few questions for the experts here:
Am I mistaken in that, and just missed the option to expand the number of users, or is two-users-only an actual built-in limitation Asus has decided to force on their customers?
Has anyone who has rooted the device tried expanding the maximum number of users? Does the device handle 3 or 4 (or more) users without too much trouble?
Is my only choice to get around it to root the device and manually make the change? (Seems like overkill, and I'm more likely to just return the thing if that's the only option.)

Newer tablets with Root support?

Hey all. I'm in the US, and my Lenovo Tab S8 just died. I had it rooted with the instructions found on XDA, but it was kind of a cowboy root, using some sketchy method. Are there any newer tablets that support easy root methods?
The reason I ask is because I had used a Root only app, to mount a 64 GB NTFS memory card, to bypass the 4GB limit of Fat32. This was really helpful for movies and large files.
Also, adaway was great.
So, is there new tablet that has community support for root? If possible, one with USB-C would be great. Screen size/price is not an issue, but batter life should be decent.
I'm debating between the Asus ZenPad S or the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. The Asus seems to my best bet, but I'm still unsure.

Any info on XDA regarding Leia inc Lume Pad LPD-10W

Disclaimer: I searched the forums using LumePad, Lume, Lume Pad, Leia, and LPD-10W and got zero search results.
Does anyone know if there's any development or info on what's been tried for development on the Leia Lume Pad?
It's an 11" 3D lightfield tablet with a snapdragon 845, 8gb, 128gb.
I purchase one for relatively cheap during Amazon prime day for something to replace my Nexus 7. It's been a nice tablet so far, but it's stuck on Android 10 and my Nexus 7 running lineage 17 is somewhat limited on what it can do... Because it's a 10-year-old tablet.
If anyone has any suggestions on where to find information and if there's been any development started on this tablet, that would be nice. Getting something like lineage 19 or 20 would be fantastic.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Am wanting to root it wondering if it could be possible
