Hi, thanks, I knew that thread, but it's apparently dedicated to official firmware updates installable via ODIN:
"OFFICIAL STOCK Firmware-update (Odin) thread Samsung GALAXY S7Edge SM-G935F"
and this one is instead only a small security OTA update and not a full firmware...

Correct, but there was the september security patch mentioned a few weeks ago.

I have the international (no carrier whatsoever ) s7 bought in Mauritius
Baseband version G930FXXU1APB4. It is still stuck on feb update with no ota when checking.
I wish to update it to the latest april version but dont know which software to choose from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G930F/ .
Can you guys help me and provide a changelog for march or april mm update
If you need any more info concerning current software dont hesitate

The August security patch has been out for quite some time now, but for my unlocked S8+ G955FXXU1AQG5/G955FOXM1AQG5 I haven't received anything yet this is the end of September now.
Does anyone know when we will be getting this update ? or else do which CSC do you recommend to switch to so I can get faster update (like the rest of the world).
Note: Location I am posting from is Morocco.

So you didn't read it carefully. Oh well. That multi-CSC OXM already includes your CSC.
all security update for s8 and s8 is stopped I think the next update will come with the new android 8 oreo !!

Please post your source for this. Didn´t find anything about Samsung stopping Security-Updates in a quick search.
I think it would be cool to have Android 8 by November, but i still think it will come in February...

Afaik there's a beta program in November which I'm holding out rooting for but the main update is a few months away at least

Iv come from HTC land so not sure of Sammy update test routines but looks interesting!
HTC beta programs were a bit too exclusive but looks like the s8 test is open to whoever wants to provide feedback and test?

1- it happened before with s5 and s6
2- the next security update ( September ) is out ( XXU1AQI1 ) latter ( i ) in note 8 android 7.1.1
3- a large time between Update security and next update in This month

we are getting 7.1.1 then a Oreo beta then oreo. Oreo closer to December from my best guess.
They don't stop regular updates to do betas.
I was wondering why my s8 did not receive September update yet.
Usually I get the security update 15th of the month.
And this September security update is very important because all our devices are vaurnable to Bluetooth attacks. I hope Samsung releases it soon.
My S8 still has July security patch(running T-Mobile firmware). T-Mobile previously released all security patches monthly, but skipped August, so I do think it is possible for 7.1.1 to come soon with at least September patch.

My T-Mobile branded S8 got the August security patches, but I'm located in germany. Maybe some policy restrictions in different countries.

The unlocked S8 units in US also got August update, but T-Mobile US for some reason haven't.

This isn't the same OTA file ! The link you have provided is a series of soak updates ! The one posted here is the final OTA that was distributed by motorola.

I respectfully disagree ! The outcomes of both the threads is completely different ! SOmeone looking for the official OTA file that Moto seeded will never find it in that thread. Because i searched all threads and never found the final captured OTA anywhere ! People can easily find it here !
The title on the other thread is rather misleading. I think this thread is for the OTA you receive if you are on Indian firmware latest MM version to update to stock Nougat. The other one is for Soak Test Nougat version. You need to apply each of the Soak Test update incrementally to reach the final Soak Test Nougat. And. The final soak test nougat is not the same as the final Stock Nougat.
