Has anyone tried Google Cardboard with Xperia L?
I don't think our phone is capable of using G-Cardboard because it is missing gyro sensors!
The Xperia L doesn't have a gyro sensor, so you would't really be able to use it as intended.
But we can still use it, right?
It depends.
The 2015 version of google cardboard will not work, because it relies only on the gyroscope for direction, because the magnet is being used as a button.
Apps that are designed for the newer, 2016 version of google cardboard can work, because they can use the compass as a backup.
However, I should point out that with the screen of the XL, you will get a terrible resolution. Like, hold a pencil at arms length: The eraser at the end is one pixel.
Also, if you're on stock firmware, the official cardboard app, which you need for configuring things, isn't compatible anymore with android 4.2.2
I have a cardboard that was intended for my z3, and it works good although the cardboard didn't sealed properly. So, I tried to use this cardboard with my Xperia L for YouTube, then I just realised that 360 videos on youtube didn't work, and also, there isn't a option where we could change the YouTube viewing mode to Cardboard, unless we're on 4.4+, andThe Cardboard app and those 360 apps don't work with Xperia L, too.
So the only option to enjoy cardboard with xperia l is with certain apps like "VR Player" app or something else to watch videos from our phone's files, or you could search something on youtube and try to filter your search by checking "3D", then there will be a side-by-side video that you could watch with your xperia L + Cardboard.
Of course the quality will be not good using Xperia L because of the screen pixel density and resolution. But it was decent for me, Even I watch my movies inside my phone with that VR Player app, yes it isn't great like the "real" 3D thing, but it is worth trying. I watched those movies with my Xperia L and Cardboard with VR Player app frequently, just to make my watching experiences a bit classy lol
Hello ,The trick works on the galaxy s8 and s8 +, with any official youtube version.
To be able to do the youtube trick in the background without root, do the following:
● Open the application in the normal way.
● Select the video of your choice.
● leave the video playback.
● Go to the beginning, without closing the multitasking.
□ Here are two options to activate youtube in the background:
1-Through the play button of the headphones that we have connected to the phone.
● Close the default music player on your phone, since it is activated; When you press the play button on the headphones, the music player will be activated and youtube will not be activated.
2-Lock the screen and move the clock widget to the left, the youtube widget appears on the play button and ready; This option works without headphones or headphones.
◇Important never close youtube in multitasking.
□Luck ^-^.

Not really, app is very lightweight and is way mkre convenient to use without relying on any bugs in the system. It also lets you download the videos in multiple qualities.

If it wasn't a bug, why would Google make it a paid option included in youtube red subscription? Windows phone doesnt even have an official app for youtube so developers have implented it into their apps long before it was a thing on Android. I havent had an iOS device but a friend of mine confirms that the official youtube app doesnt support background play either so he has to use either Safari or some third party app.

why not youtube red. i havent paid for youtube red since it started. they always offer 4 month of googlemusic which include youtube red. just switch to different email. i have 3 gmail and i have been rotating everytime one expires. it says is for new user but if uhavent use the same email for over 6 month it will let u reuse it
YouTube red is not available in most countries.
It doesn't work on latest update S8 stock ROM...EU
Hey, so I love listening to podcasts at work and love the Podcast Addict app. Works flawlessly.
Unfortunately this app isn't on the list of apps that work in UPSM. The chances of this being added by Samsung are little to none so was wondering does anyone have an alternative podcast app with auto download (not streaming like Google's) that would work in UPSM?
I know I can root and change it to a system app and that should work? (Correct me if I'm wrong) But I'm trying not to root a phone for once (as a bet)! This could push me over the edge though!
Hi there,
I've seen there is a camera remote app preinstalled on the watch if you use a Samsung phone. But when using my OnePlus 7t pro the app isn't there.
My old Oppo watch had a remote shutter using a android wear app from Google but I can't find it. Google camera from the Playstore doesn't work.

Try Wrist Camera in the Play Store
Hello
I want to post a pre-recorded video live on Instagram. I want to use the Instagram app for this
There are 2 ideas. (Sites providing Instagram streaming services are illegal and there is a possibility of banning the account, so it must be done with the main Instagram app)
The first one is the obs program to use its virtual camera feature in the Android emulator, which unfortunately was not possible for the virtual camera to come as hardware on the device manager and the emulator sees it as a camera, and it caused a lot of trouble, no matter what I did, it did not work. The manycam program was successful, but portrait and desired size were not possible and the image in the camera was problematic.
The second way is to create a virtual camera in the phone with an xposed or Magisk module or a program and define a video to play as a camera.
For lsposed, there was a module called VCAM that provided exactly what I wanted, but no matter what I did, I could not launch it. There were no video tutorials.
There are many programs for Facebook, YouTube, etc., but everything is limited for Instagram
My brain is stuck because of too many searches
If anyone has experience or solution to do this please help
any help ?
Would like to know if there is a magisk module to fake camera input too. If I still did online school I would just put a png of me on the (fake) webcam and play video games

for android i found vcam that is xposed module
GitHub - w2016561536/android_virtual_cam: xposed安卓虚拟摄像头 android virtual camera on xposed hook
xposed安卓虚拟摄像头 android virtual camera on xposed hook - GitHub - w2016561536/android_virtual_cam: xposed安卓虚拟摄像头 android virtual camera on xposed hook
github.com
its worked but not stable and user friendly
I'm testing on instagram live its fine
I'm Still Looking For better way to do this
Did anyone make this work? I am also looking for a way of making a virtual camera work on ANdroid.
MOD Translation:
I am trying to use rtmp instead of camera
我正在尝试使用 rtmp 而不是相机

I am not a developer but searching for solution of similar problem. I found a solution for what you are trying to do
https://www.bluestacks.com/blog/blu...stacks-obs-virtual-camera-support-en.html/amp
Bluestacks have solved the problem and now you can use OBS virtual webcam as camera input device in Bluestacks emulator
There's an app Virtual Camera: Fake Camera that clones the app and you can set a video, photo or network stream (idk about this one how to set to work), but I've tested the video method on Tiktok and worked fine (on another camera app it didn't work for example)
