OFFICIAL NET10 Samsung S4 4G LTE SGH-S970G Thread

I'd like to start a thread regarding the NET10 Samsung S4 4G LTE SGH-S970G.
Has anyone seen a way to unlock this device? Neither of the standard 2 methods of unlocking a Galaxy S 4 seem to work. I am unable to reach SERVICE MODE MAIN MENU beyond step 4 using the method described here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2282683
From what I have gathered thus far this might be able to be resolved by downgrading the radio/baseband however I would need an older stock firmware for this device and I do not believe one exists - and I am afraid of bricking the device using any other stock firmware.
Does anyone know of a method I might be able to carrier unlock this puppy?
Thanks in advance!
I have the same phone, SGH-S970G, and am unable to find a root option for it either. Has anyone found one?
EDIT: (01/14/14) SafeRoot also worked for me. Thank you to all for your help, I really appreciate it!

You could try apps that root the phone for you such as Framaroot and Poot, Framaroot has it's own forum on XDA. If you try let me know which works
What technical specs does this model of S4 have?Maybe the root method from i9506 works!

Does anybody know of any flashing methods for this device, such as custom recovery and roms?
I heard something about a region unlocked helping to unlock the metro
C version of this phone I think that is close to this model so I guess we could start there
Guys please try rooting and then using the app "region lock away" it unlocks sims on other gs4, tested myself yesterday, please someone try with this model and reply soon. MAY NOT work on 4.3 but totally safe, will look for older modems. and report back
Cheers.
I can try but can anyone post a link to region unlock and the rooting app I've been looking for them
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2470551
that's region away, the poster that said previously that he rooted will hopefully send a link to his App/process.
hit thanks if i helped.
Ok just need a link to safe root
Here's saferoot.

Which part failed? Rooting or region unlock?

Rooting seem to went fine unlocking seem to not go so fine someone offered me like $350 for it so I'll sell it rooted. Still couldn't get the menu it shows different carriers but network fails to connect for some reason
I noticed that some members have had these straight talk phones for more than a year now, so shouldn't some people be able to unlock their Straight Talk/Tracfone Galaxy S4 phones by now?

This is great , but if we flash a new Rom, will Knox then be tripped?
I think knox is tripped with rooting. And there is a new root method out already without tripping knox

Yes this only allows root access without trip. As soon as you flash a recovery or ROM then it will trip it

CSC
I have a N9005TMHBMI1 CSC and there is no CSC like this in the thread. What should I do now? (I am new in XDA so I cant post and request in the root de la vega thread).
Is there any way to do this with a Mac?
*#1234# doesn't work.
Any idea why or how to get that info other way? I'm using an EU unbranded Note 3.
Care to show what else one would do after rooting their phone for newbies please? Meaning no rom, just what one can expect and achieve after mere rooting only. Thanks.
Great guide!
Awesome guide!

I'm not trying to be funny, but you have 251 posts and you don't know he purpose of rooting?
Rooting your phone gives you admin rights, just like having admin access on a computer. One of the main purposes is exactly that. With root access (admin rights) you have complete access to the system. You have access to the entire filesystem. You can run apps that require extra privileges. Basically.. You have FULL control of a piece of equipment that you paid good money for.
Sure, being able to update the Roms are great, but some of us do it because 'we can', some of us do it because we want to be able to run anything we want to.
Again, I am not trying to be rude or funny.. I am just not sure if you are serious or if you were being funny?
thanks, done with my 9005 without knox trigger

The method is the EXACT same as it was on KitKat for both Sprint AND T-Mobile (as well as the Verizon Dev Edition). About a million guides were posted before. A quick search will bring them up.

APNs are used to identify what network a phone is on or used on. It's carrier unlocked out of the box/from the factory.

Ok thank you, but how do I find these APNs?

Dear xda users, is it possible to unlock Galaxy S7 SM-G930T without the unlock app?

Hi, everyone.
I bought a galaxy s7 via ebay, which was initially clean, but after 3.5 months it was blocked by TM due to an outstanding balance. I tried to reason with T-mobile reps, but to no avail.
There is a guy on ebay (repairimei) who claims that he can unlock my Galaxy S7 without using the unlock app. He claims that he will change the imei and then unlock the phone bypassing the unlock app altogether. Is this even possible?
best,
San
Yep. Has been out for a while now. It's CPID calculated (Read) generated certs being written to the phones. And that's auto unlock for all Samsung after write .cert

Only "free" way is the highway lol
If you want option of no charge use the built in Device Unlock apk if your device is eligible for Unlock in T-mobile database.

Flashing custom ROM shouldn't hurt it. Root wouldn't either but just make a backup
