If you think there may have been an issue with the OTA then see if that same kit kat update is available in an stock .tar then flash that with Odin. You may have to boot to stock recovery and factory reset and wipe cache if the device bootloops after flashing with Odin. That should fix any software issues on your device.
I already did that but nothing improved so I am thinking going back to Jelly Bean...

Hi,
When did you buy tablet? Does self-reboots hapen from day one or have you installed new rom recently?
If you run oryginal rom is your tablet uptodate?
Since first day my 3G xoom was self-rebooting 20 / 30 times a day usualy while watching online videos but it also happend during webbrowsing or even pdf reading. I called motorola support unrooted and sent xoom back for repair.
They replaced motherboard and its like new device since....
i have the same issue with a MZ604 32GB wifi xoom
i have used rsd lite with the sbf file and reflashed to no avail
problem i have is it's an american device so have to wait to may to send back when i'm in new york unless anyone knows anything else to try
If you cant send it back to repair now you can try to install Cpu manager and set cpu to let sat max 800mgh. I remember reboots were mostly under heavy work so try set cpu lower value.
Let me know if that helped...
Good Luck
It would be great if I could get to run a heavy work load right now it won't stay on long enough for me to download setcpu
when was the first time it happend to u? Was it since day one or have you installed somethin recently and reboots started than?
Pretty much day one and device has no apps or anything on it
the only anomaly i can find is that when booting into recovery i get the android with a red triangle.
anyone know how to fix that?
Flashed with rsd lite UK 3.1 and recovery now show an upright android with green triangle
I will try us again and see if recovery changes
when flashing recovery with bootloader locked it's say
mot_sst_validate_token: Token integrity invalid
this is the same message i get when botting into recovery
both uk and us roms now show android with green/yellow triangle
how does it work now after flasheing?
The only thing i think here is giving away for repair you can even give a try and go to official motorola forum for uk xooms and ask managers if its posible to fix that issue here in uk's repair center! Its faster way than submiting an email query to moto support...
Its serious issue and they know it so they might fix that if you have a invoice and warranty....

were you on gingerbread and what about root? any custom rom? can you still get into recovery? Or did you have clockwork mod? i wonder if it was upgrading to ICS and your phone died? Just some things that might help narrow down a bit.
Galaxy Note not booting after firmware update
Hi,
The same thing happened to me today. My phone indicated that an update was required. When I proceeded to install, the phone is stuck at the SAMSUNG logo.
My phone is not rooted. About a few weeks ago I had upgraded from GB to ICS.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Facing the same problem
Hi all,
I am facing the same problem since this morning. I have not rooted my phone. Recently I upgraded my Galaxy Note from Gingerbread to ICS 4.0.3. This morning, I upgraded the firmware, as I had done this in the past as well, I didn't think it may lead to any problem. But since then, the phone starts and shows Samsung prompt. Is it because of any bug in the latest update? Does anyone know what to do in this situation?
I am facing the same problem, the Samsung logo keeps glowing off and on after the boot chime plays.
Does any one have any clue about this? I think its happening to India users who got this update.
Edit: I am unable to go into the recovery screen as well. The green droid shows, some loading happens(tries to?) in the bar below and the screen turns off and if I keep holding the buttons the same cycle repeats. Leaving them at any point leads to the Samsung glowing logo and no boot!
Another one bites the dust
Faced the same problem yesterday...running around to get my contactsrescued...even the authorized service centres are only assuring flashing it -0 as if it is a big obligation
Need someone to access dram... jtag to a usb mode...going to try at heera panna & manish market tomoro - both in Mumbai

Found the solution!!!
Hi Guys, I've found the solution.
Edit: Since, I received queries from many people, I would like to know from the advanced/experienced members if the solution I am suggesting is absolutely right or not, and if it could lead to any problem. My phone is working fine, I haven't lost any data.
The solution:
1. Download the stable ICS version released in May.
2. Install it manually using the ODIN settings.
Guys, please help us out, let us know your opinion.
add me to list
using just the stock rom
this update flashed on the notification and after installation doesnt go beyond the
boot screen

HI,
My OPO 64GB sandstone Black is experiencing Bootloop everytime it heats up, then i turn it off for 5 minutes to make it cool. After that, it works fine. I bought it about 8 months ago. A month ago, I upgraded it to CM13 official. About 15 days ago, it suddenly went bootloop. Then i checked and found that it was softbricked. Then I did some homework and unlocked the bootloader and downgrade it to Kitkat CM11, but lost all of my data. Finally it came back to life, but the bootloop comes everytime it heats up till now.
I have some question and also asking for a solution to overcome this problem. Questions are listed below
1. What is the suitable solution for this problem?
2. Does my device have any hardware issue or is it just software related problem?
3. Will my device work like before, if i somehow find a solution or its the type of problem which keeps coming back?
Please help me regarding this issue. Thanks in advance.

Hi, have you tried to undervolting the cpu? This might help you to keep it cold
You only have to flash a kernel which let you customize volting values
And If the problem persist try to clean flash the latest oxygen os (It has the latest drivers so maybe it works).
Try this: Install Kernel Adiutor, underclock cpu to 1728 Mhz, Undervolt (if possible) by -50 global, and enable everything in Thermal
I have the same issue. Is there any solution?
Hello people of XDA!
I know that this thread may be repetitive, but I unfortunately didn't find any help in all threads regarding GSII's NAND r/w problem.
So in short, I will explain what happened to this device
I bought this GSII brand new as my 1st flagship device, and I am kind of sentimentally connected to it, if not I would've thrown it in trash a long time ago.
So here is the thing
I had stock firmware on this device (4.1.2 JB) , and after some time decided to flash CM 11 on it when it came out, and had it on my phone for 4-5 weeks but I instantly noticed that my device was overheating with that ROM so I decided to get back on stock firmware, unfortunately thing is that i flashed android 4.0.3 ICS (Movistar Mexico) then my device got bricked (I had a really bad knowledge back then about roms and things that I SHOULD and SHOULDN'Tdo), anyway I tried fixing the mess I made by flashing my original android 4.1.2 JB rom (Telenor Serbia) hoping that will solve my bricked device, but unsuccessfully. Then I tried flashing again standardly for maybe 4-5 times with no success and decided to explore more functions that odin provides, so I checked NAND erase all last time I flashed and I guess made a huge mistake, but still I couldn't boot my device, I tried hard resetting it (I lost my power button while replacing the screen of my phone, so I couldn't boot into recovery to check if device is soft bricked or really hard bricked, but download mode works just fine). Still I tried, I flashed custom kernels hoping they would fix this brick but nothing happened, I would really like to get this thing working again, I had no success at finding a good mainboard to replace the old one, and doing it in official repair shops and non-official ones costs more than the phone itself. Sorry for asking the same old question I guess but I would be really thankful if I could get this working again!
