Few years back I had a HTC M7 and loved the calendar widget today I found the apk of it and installed in on my Moto G3 along with the Sense 8 beta.
However I've ran into a issue;
As you can see when using the Sense 8 launcher everything is fine

but with the default launcher this happens
I can't find any options anywhere that would make this happen.
Any ideas?

Use another launcher, like nova.
Default launcher is Google Now, it exaggerates the size of many things (like icons and widgets)... I think @dado_13 is on the right track, use a different launcher.
Remember that many of HTC's "things" are closely tied together with the Sense launcher, using them outside of that environment could cause erroneous behavior, using any launcher other than Sense could cause this not to display correctly.

Can we do this on our HTC Heros? If so, what ROM can do this?

Also interested in this but you can get Beautiful Widgets from the Market. Does the exact same thing.
Beautiful Widgets doesn't quite do it like this though. That has a dedicated screen where you have to click on the weather first, this looks like it is always snowing or raining on the homescreen.
This would be awesome. Beautiful Widgets only affects the actual widget itself.
thats most likely gonna come with 2.1 it was gonna come with the stock hero but they took it off becuase they thought it was gonna make the phone a little laggier?idk but it was on a early release of HTC Sense that never made it when the phone released
It is part of 2.1 the files are called weather wallpapers I found whist digging for all the stuff needed for friendstream
If anyone is interested in a different dialer than the HTC one try Dialer One from the Market. It looks like the stock dialer and has some nice options. Your still stuck with the HTC Phone.apk, but this in combination with LauncherPro is worth it.

Nice find!
I'd love to replace the stock dialer with Dialer One upon phone launch; do I need root access to do this?

No, just stop using Rosie and download LauncherPro or ADW.Launcher. Then set the phone icon to launch Dialer One.
I'm wanting to change the stock clock app that the nexus 1 uses. I remember seeing the clock from the galaxy s phones.
Basically i would like to from this

Any halp is appreciated.
That app is the Samsung Home Dock, what sadly, does not run on any devices not containing the TW framework. I've already tried it porting, no luck yet.
The App Is Called "Desk Home"
Even If It's Ported It's kinda useless...
Cannot Launch and/or Set Alarms, Launch News and finally cannot set and/or get any Weather Info at all...
As you understand many of It's features are (Hard)Linked with SGS Framework and It's accompanying Apps and Plugins
Anyways If you want only the Looks, Grab within this Post
Installs 100% and Can Be executed 100%
Tested on Vanilla/Stock Froyo N1, CM 6x, CM 6x Nightly build #2xx and #3xx
Hi,
I need suggestion for two widgets. I finally got rid of Sense and I'm trying to fully adopt MIUI on my Desire. And, it's great. MIUI is a great ROM and blazing fast. But, I can't live without those fancy HTC widgets.
Now, I don't wanna use any kind of third-party launchers like Launcher Pro or ADW Launcher because I actually like the one MIUI has.
I need two HTC-like widgets for calendar and for weather. I managed to find the clock widget.
I need something closest to this (it can be paid one also):
Weather:

You may try Fancy Widgets (free), which includes a 4x4 weather widget.
android pro widgets has the people widget and the calendar one

Cool idea, but I doubt that you'll find such an app. Replied to follow the thread, but I doubt that it's possible.
1. How would you then change homescreens in each launcher?
2. How would it work when you have your launchers set to 'infinite loop' (circular scrolling)?
