►►AT&T SGH-I337 USERS: DO NOT USE THIS FIRST GUIDE IF YOU ARE ON MF3 / MK2 FIRMWARE.◄◄
Please instead refer to Post #2 for MF3 & MK2 rooting and Safestrap Recovery installation processes.
This thread exists to keep all the necessary guides and material in one common place for the new users looking for the opportunity to do this right the first time. As always: Know what you're doing. Know what device model you have. Know your limits.
If followed correctly, this 5-step guide can be a useful tool. These steps are listed in the order in which they should be completed. The intent is to seamlessly root, backup and flash, leaving as little room for error as possible. This process will erase and/or reset everything on your device. All steps are assuming you have backed up your contacts, texts, pictures, videos, etc. I do not take credit for any of this material or information. This is all the work of great people that I have simply brought together. Cheers!
**WARNING!** All information and attached links are for the I337 & I337M ONLY! No one here is responsible for anything that may happen to your device. Proceed at your own risk.
>>>>>>Before you begin, make sure your S4 has USB Debugging Mode switched on<<<<<<
Step 1: Read. Read. Succeed.
Your journey down the Android path of rooting and modding can be smooth, fun and educational, based on your attempt at learning everything you can before you begin. This is entirely up to you, the user. There is some excellent material here on XDA that I highly recommend reading over as part of step 1. Don't skip this information!
[GUIDE][INFO] The beginner's info thread (aka. the noob helper): This awesome guide by @Rastabolino is intended to be an all-in-one resource for the new user, covering all the basic material and XDA ground rules that everyone on this site should know.
Frequently Asked Questions: Need I say more? Just about every question asked on this forum is covered in this great little post by @ronnie498. This a short list of frequently asked questions on this device forum and the answers often given as a response. It should serve as a starting point for gathering knowledge and finding solutions to many common problems.
Step 2: Rooting Your Device
For those of you who want to get most out of your Galaxy S4, you will certainly want to root it. Rooting your I337 or I337M provides you as the user many, many benefits. That's why you're here right now reading this. You want it all.
Please note that there is always the chance of error during these processes. Bad or faulty USB cables, USB ports, bad/old device drivers on the computer, an active virus scanner. These are a few of the issues that can cause your device to fail to connect or prohibit a successful root/flash. Use good and original OEM USB cables. Uninstall any drivers you may have installed for Samsung Mobile Devices and disable your virus scanner.
AT&T/I337 Users: [ROOT[RECOVERY] Loki + TWRP + Motochopper CASUAL
The thread linked here is the work of @AdamOutler, aptly named "CASUAL". Casual uses the exploit by @djrbliss and will guide you through the process. You will need to download and execute the CASUAL application then follow the onscreen instructions. After it is complete, you will have root access and Team Win's latest TWRP custom recovery installed.
Canadian/I337M Users: [SGH-I337M] CF-Auto-Root [CANADIAN MODELS ONLY]
The thread linked here is the work of @Chainfire and will successfully provide root access on to your Galaxy S4. CF-Root is the root for "rooting beginners" and those who want to keep as close to stock as possible. CF-Root is meant to be used in combination with stock Samsung firmwares, and be the quickest and easiest way for your first root.
I337 & I337M Users: [Video Guide] How To Root Galaxy S4 I337 / I337m Easy & User Friendly
Additionally, here is great video guide by @TheSmokingAndroid which demonstrates the utilization of @djrbliss' Motochopper tool. This thread provides another easy rooting option for both the AT&T & Canadian S4 variants and will have you on your way in no time.
**If you want to have root access only you can stop here.**
STEP 3: Installing A Custom Recovery
For those of you that did not have the option of installing a custom recovery during your root & unlock process, follow this next step to get one installed.
A recovery image is the system level software for your Android that lets you perform several maintenance and recovery tasks. The stock recovery image is quite limited in what it allows you to do and therefore, flashing a custom recovery image is required to gain full control of your device’s administration. A custom recovery image allows you to perform the following tasks:
- Wipe your phone’s data (Factory reset) and cache
- Make, restore and manage backups of your phone’s operating system and software
- Mount, unmount and format your phone’s internal as well as external storage partitions
- Install a custom ROM or application from a zip file to your phone
- Wipe Dalvik cache and battery statistics
- Make logs for error reporting and debugging
The 2 most common custom recoveries are listed here. Take your pick and download from the Play Store or check out some of the other custom recovery options in the Android Development section.
**ClockworkMod (CWM)**
1. Open Rom Manager and tap on Flash ClockworkMod Recovery option in the app.
2. You’ll be asked to select your device, select your device name.
3. As soon as you select the model, it should begin installing the recovery.
4. When it has done installing the recovery, you will get a message for the same on your screen.
*NOTE: I do not recommend Rom Manager as a tool to do anything but just install and update ClockworkMod Recovery Do not flash ROMs from Rom Manager.
**Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP)**
1. Once the download is complete launch Goo Manager.
2. On the top right of the screen there is the “options” menu.
3. Tap on options.
4. Then, click or choose the “Install OpenRecovery Script” option.
5. Select “yes” on the prompts that will follow. Now, the app will download and install TWRP Recovery on your S4
*NOTE: I do not recommend GooManager as a tool to do anything but just install and update TWRP Recovery Do not flash ROMs from Goo Manager.
Step 4: Making a Nandroid & EFS Backup
Making a nandroid will allow you to try out new ROMs while still keeping a safe backup in the event you experience issues during or after a custom OS or kernel installation. Be sure your device is fully charged before proceeding to the backup and flashing procedures.
If you are not already booted into recovery then do so now.
1. Power off your device.
2. Press and hold Volume Up + Home + Power buttons at the same time.
3. Release the power button when the device vibrates and you see the blue script in the top left corner
4. You are now in custom recovery.
5. In CWM go to Backup and Restore and select Backup. In TWRP select Backup. Name and select the options you want. Swipe to backup.
6. In TWRP, after the nandroid is finished, select "Name" and create a name for your EFS backup. Deselect everything except for EFS then swipe to backup.
7. After backup is finished, select reboot system now or stay in recovery to continue with this guide.
*NOTE: Be sure to save a copy of these backups to your computer and/or micro sd card. Having a recent backup saved to your computer and micro SD card can be useful if something happens to your phones internal memory.
Step 5A: Wiping Your Device
When flashing any ROM, it is always important to follow the proper wipe procedures in order for everything to function properly. There are various levels of wiping based on what sort of transition you may be making. In this guide, I will list the procedures for a full wipe, presuming that you are coming from the stock firmware and changing your OS completely. This is all assuming you have made the appropriate backups. ALWAYS perform the appropriate wipe before flashing a new ROM or update!
1. If you are not already in recovery, boot in now (Vol Up + Home + Power. Release the power button at vibrate and when you see the blue script in the top left corner).
In CWM:
2. Select Wipe data/factory reset
3. Select Wipe Cache
4. Select Advanced and Wipe Dalvik Cache
5. Select Mounts and Storage and format /system
6. If you are transitioning from 4.1 to 4.2 or 4.2 to 4.1, you must also format /data. You will lose all personal data so back it up first.
In TWRP:
2. Select Wipe
3. Select Factory Reset and wipe
4. Select System and wipe
5. If you are transitioning from 4.1 to 4.2 or 4.2 to 4.1, you must also select Data and wipe. You will lose all personal data so back it up first.
Step 5B: Flashing a Custom ROM
AT&T Users: First, check out this link by attn1. It will help provide some understanding of why we need a patch. Understand that with this device, any boot image or custom ROM you flash requires this patch. Pay attention to the thread you are browsing in to note if the developer has posted in the title or OP that the ROM or kernel has been Loki'd already. If the ROM or kernel you desire has been Loki'd, you may proceed with the download and flash in a custom recovery via the steps below. If the ROM or kernel has not been patched yet, download the loki-doki zip located in the link and flash it as directed. See the instructions below.
Once you have selected a ROM for your specific S4 model:
1. Download the ROM - If you are downloading a stock/TouchWiz-based ROM, Google Apps (gapps) will be included. If you are downloading an AOSP-based ROM, be sure to download the appropriate gapps as well.
2. From your PC, place the ROM/gapps on your internal or external SD card. Remember where they are.
3. Boot into custom recovery (Vol Up + Home + Power. Release the power button at vibrate and when you see the blue script in the top left corner).
4. Perform the wipe listed above if you have not already.
5. From the main recovery screen:
>>CWM - Choose the "install .zip from SD Card" or "install .zip from external SD card" option (depending on where you placed the files) then navigate to the ROM file, select it and confirm.
>>TWRP - Choose Install and locate the desired ROM on your internal or external SD.
►►► AT&T users, if you are flashing a custom ROM or kernel that has not been patched, repeat step 5 and flash the loki-doki.zip now ◄◄◄
6. If you need to flash gapps, repeat step 5 and select the gapps package.
7. Reboot system. It will take several minutes to load so be patient and don't worry. Once the phone is booted, let it sit for 5 minutes, reboot and enjoy!
►►AT&T-MF3 / MK2 Root & Recovery Mini Guide◄◄
Concerning AT&T's latest build: If you are an AT&T user on MF3 or MK2, you CANNOT use the steps in the guide above to root, backup or flash anything to your device. Trying to install a custom recovery on your device will result in a brick.
If you are currently running the MF3 or MK2 build, this portion of the guide is for you. Just follow the steps below.
Step 1: Read & Ask Questions.
Official AT&T S4 Safestrap Discussion
@graydiggy has a great discussion thread for the AT&T S4 Safestrap method. Check it out. Lots of good information. If you have any questions about MF3 in general, @TheAxman has assembled a Q&A section here.
Step 2: Root
[ROOT] Saferoot: Root for VRUEMJ7, MK2, and Android 4.3
Checkout @k1mu's thread here which covers and supplies everything you need to get your S4 variant rooted. For you lucky (or not so much) folks on MK2, head this direction for further details.
Root Method for AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 (OTA MF3)
Visit @jortex's root guide in order to achieve root access on your MF3'd device.
Step 3: Recovery
[RECOVERY LOCKED] Safestrap Recovery v3.65 & v3.71 - MF3/MK2
Check out the amazing @Hashcode's thread for everything you need to continue with your device modifications. Root is required. Start at the top of the thread, read everything and enjoy filling those virtual slots.
[Q] But what if i just want to block the update altogether and retain root/recovery on my current MDB/MDL build?
[A] Refer to this guide by @Aou.
[Q] How do I restore my S4 to factory stock with Odin?
[A] Thanks to @Shockndrop, we now have a way for those on MF3 to get back to stock, fix a softbrick, etc with Odin. The newest thread on the topic can be found here. Go check it out and make a donation if this has helped you.
Be sure to thank these guys as you visit their threads.
As always, if you don't have the knowledge to fix any potential issues you may run into, don't root it. Read up and proceed at your own risk.
I'd check over it you stated this as an s3 then said the I337. right under step 2.

Very Nice BD,
Am new to Samsung but flashed alot on HTC phones. Think the Samsung is going to be easier.
I have read extensively since early May when I got phone--slow learner--lol
I think I got it all figured to include flashing recoveries including with loki-flash and terminal.
I prefer TWRP, used it extensively on HTC.
My only question and it is rhetorical as you can just add to OP if you deem it worthy---is to cover a little on how to flash roms on TWRP whether CM or TW. After all my reading and understanding what loki is and what it I am 99.99% sure I know the answer. But want to be 100%. And it may help others.
My understanding is I need to flash a lokied kernel or loki-doki after every rom I flash including CM as TWRP does not auto loki the rom/kernel. But, some places I read led me to believe if the rom (kernel) is lokied and that is stated in Op no need to flash a lokied kernel or loki-doki.
A sentence or two on this would help alot
I think I may have read too much and had it all run together--

I agree that it would be beneficial. I appreciate your input. I had thought about adding it at one time but then never got around to it. I need more hours in my day. Thanks again.
Heya,
Since there is not enough info on the web regarding the rooting procedure for Videocon A55 HD and custom recovery for this awesomely smooth device, I'm uploading the necessary files and step by step guide. Hope it helps all the users of this device.
Remember rooting would tamper the warranty of the device and should be exercised carefully. The procedures mentioned below have been personally tested by me however I take no responsibility in case you ruin your device although I would be here to help you in such a scenario. Besides this the rooting script was not created by me and all the credit goes to the respective developer.
1. Rooting Procedure
Make sure you have enabled "USB Debugging" under Developer Options on your phone.
Keep your phone disconnected from computer via USB
a) Download and Install the ADB Interface driver for MTK 6589
Link to ADB Drivers
b) Download and extract the rooting package
Link to the Rooting Package
c) Now go to the extracted package and open a command prompt to that location as Administrator.
d) Type run.bat in Command Prompt and a message must appear "Press enter to root your phone..."
e) Press any key
f) Now after a few seconds the message should be " * daemon started successfully *"
g) Now connect your phone via USB to the computer
h) The cmd would automatically start pushing the necessary files onto your phone and when the process completes your phone will restart
Now you are rooted. To check install any Root checker application from playstore. Remember to grant permission while running Root Checker app when a pop up appears. It is suggested to update the SuperSU app from playstore and execute it at least once after that to update the su binary. You can also update the busybox package from playstore because busybox supplied with the rooting package is pretty old.
2. Installing CWM Recovery
Okie, since you are now rooted, most likely you would require a custom recovery to create full nandroid backups or test different ROMs. The CWM recovery provided here was created using MTKDroid Tools and is version 5.x (Non Touch). Again all credit goes to the developer of MTKDroid Tools for making such a powerful piece of software.
a) Download and extract the recovery package.
Link to CWM 5.x and Original Recovery for A55 HD
b) There are two files in the package , one is the custom CWM recovery and the other one is Stock Recovery (Names are pretty self understood)
c) Copy "Custom_Recovery_CWM_A55HD.img" to the root of your SD card
d) Rename it to "recovery.img"
e) Install Mobile Uncle Tools [MUT] from the playstore.
f) Open MUT and go to recovery update
g) Now you must see the recovery.img in a list. Just select it and follow the pop ups.
h) Now your phone would restart.
i) To check if the recovery update was successful, go to MUT and select "Reboot into Recovery" and your phone would most likely start in CWM recovery..
Alternative to get into recovery mode is to Press Power button + Volume Down key together when switched off.
3. Stock ROM for Videocon A55 HD
Okie, here we go, as I mentioned that I had got hold of the stock rom, so here I'm publishing it. The credit goes to Pratap Solunke (psolunke) for providing the Factory ROM zip.
I have just divided it into update.zip and files for SPFT for ease of downloading. Besides I have splitted each section into 4 parts and reuploaded it so you can download them at your ease. I'm providing the link for the whole folder which includes the changelog, update.zip and files for SPFT.
The ROM version is V7 (2013.07.15) which is different from the original ROM which was V5 (2013.06.08).
You can read the changelog for the updates in this ROM.
Link to ROM Folder
If using update.zip to flash this ROM, then
Step 1. Open the update.zip with winrar, Do not extract.
Step 2. Navigate to \META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script and extract this file only, then use "Notepad++" to open the file.Don't use default notepad.
Step 3. Delete assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "A55HD" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "A55HD");
Step 4. Save the file, put it back to the same location in archive (It will take some time to add to archive)..Done...then proceed as usual.
a) update.zip is for reinstalling Factory Image of the ROM from recovery mode. The zip file is signed.
b) Files for SPFT are to be used with SP Flash Tool and can be used in case your phone is bricked. Do not flash the preloader unless you know what you are doing.
c) To download the files just go to the respective folder and right click on each file and hit download. After all four parts are downloaded, extract Part 1 of the downloaded splitted files and the files would be ready to be used as is.
d) Keep all four parts of the splitted files in a single folder and do not rename the splitted files.
If you have any questions related to A55 HD you can ask them here and I would try to help you the best way I can.
I'm still testing some custom ROMS but none seem to work . So far I've tested LEWA OS and MIUI ROM for xiacoao G6 Youth. However I'll keep trying and update once I have a working Custom ROM.
One more project in mind is to port Custom ROMS to A55 HD if none is available as is on the web.
If anyone of you is able to find a working Custom ROM for A55 HD kindly post it here so that we can have a repository of successful and useless attempts. I'm sure it would help others.
Rooting procedure worked after two attempts. The device is rooted.
While trying to install CWM recovery, get a problem. Can not see custom recovery in MUT. Pasted on both SD cards, internal and external also.

done but some observations!!!!
DONE.
Some observations:
1. In CWM, cant see internal SD card. While, after mounting usb storage, can see external SD card only. NOTE, CANT SEE INTERNAL SD CARD ONLY WHEN TRY TO MOUNT INTERNAL PHONE STORAGE IN CWM. WHILE NORMAL WORKING NO PROBLEM.
2. Deleted.
3. Deleted.
4. Deleted,
5. Deleted.
6. The font size of Stock and CWM recovery is very small still it can serve the purpose.
Do any body have original/stock update.zip from Company?
Updates:
I think I figured out the problem with touch. Uninstalled an application called "Go Power Master" and the touch is ok even after connecting USB or charger. Thanks man. The phone is working very nice after rooting.

Some observations:
1. In CWM, cant see internal SD card. While, after mounting usb storage, can see external SD card only.
2. After rooting, before even installing CWM, got some irratic behavior with touch. Like, while USB is connected, touch was not working as expected, it took long time to make USB storage active as after touching a specific required operation, like pulling down task bar it was doing something else like opening play store, opening game, or opening date and time settings. While unlocking lock screen, it was just opening any random phone application and is not even allowing to go back with back button or home button. Don't know this is related with what?
3. Irratic application were opening while touching different application but after removing USB, things were working better.
4. Rebooted in CWM and first tried to "fix permissions" to avoid that irratic touch behavior, thinking there was problem with permissions. Took nandroid back up, after fixing permissions. Wiped cache and dalvik cache and restarted.
5. Now, till now phone is not connected to PC with USB cable or connected to charging; it behaves better with touch but it is very troublesome to perform any operation after phone connected to PC with USB or to charger.
May be you have faced these issues or may not! Any suggested solution? Do any body have original/stock update.zip from Videocon?

For me the touch works without any problems...and as for detecting internal sd card...that also works flawlessly..i don't have the phone with me right now...Yesterday I was trying something and the nvram got corrupted [No baseband]...so right now it is resting at service center...Hope to get it next week...
One suggestion never install Carliv Touch Recovery on this phone...it messes with the baseband and display...Stick to this recovery until I build a more updated CWM...

Please add in above step 2 "to extract file Updater-script on PC" and then use N.........
Flashed modified update.zip from CWM and phone upgraded to version 15072013. To be strange it is showing v1.0 20130715 in build ie in about phone. All the applications were intact but lost root and also CWM recovery; then managed to root the phone and flash CWM with your fantastic guide.
After booting in CWM, wiped cache and dalvik cache(why? don't know). Phone is working nice. Thanks,

Nice...Yeah, people at Videocon forgot to change the version number i guess...and loss of root and cwm was due to restoring of system.img and recovery.img in the ROM file...so it's normal..
Besides one should always perform a clean install from CWM..i.e. Clear Data, Clear Cache, Clear Dalvik Cache, Format /system/ and then install ROMS..
And yes this ROM is a bit better then the one on phone..I received my phone today from service center and software was updated to this ROM..It felt much better .And the version was same , so this seems to be the latest ROM for A55 HD.. Enjoy
How to flash phone with sp flash tools
was trying to flash a recovery build on CWM site. I think it has spoiled baseband. No sim is getting detected. Any idea how to flash phone with SP tool? Don't have access to service station as am very far.
Edit: Managed to flash with SP tool. Used the files you have uploaded for SPFT. Selected all options and now phone is on and showing base band version, also sim are getting detected. The issue was preloader drivers for windows 8 which managed to install by disabling driver signature verification. Device rooted and installation of CWM through MUT was successful. Thanks.
Try this and this. Its as good as custom rom installation works very well with MTK6589

was trying to flash a recovery build on CWM site.
Thanks.

You must understand that the recovery partition is of 6 mb....and most likely the recovery you received from CWM online builder was more than 6 mb..hence your secro.img was also overwritten...hence the problems with baseband and imei....same thing happened with me 7 days back when I had to submit my phone to Service center. Unfortunately i didn't had the flash image then but it is good to know that it can also recover baseband and imei. And congrats for recovering your phone and I'm glad my contribution helps you...
Just remember one thing...if the boot, recovery, secro partitions are of more than 6mb then don't flash them as they would mess one thing or other...and hopefully you had disabled preloader in SPFT.....if not then from next time onwards please do it....because rarely you need to flash preloader...and a wrong flash can make your device a brick which can only be recovered by Test points.Hence never flash preloader until unless you know what you are doing.....And yes, I already use Gravity Box along with Xposed Framework...Great mod...Besides them I also use xhalofloatingwindow with bubble launcher and lwinrecent ...Both are xposed modules and work as expected.I also have init.d support which allows to make boot persistent changes on device....Along with that a few build.prop tweaks that take my ROM to the custom level...Let me know if you need any of this...
Please
Thanks for preloader advise. was not that much aware and will take care next time. Please share init.d support, build.prop tweaks and their usefulness.
For init.d, use term-init by ryuinferno.

This is the link to the thread. Do not use zip-init or uni-init. Follow the guide on the thread. It works flawlessly.

And yes people you can ask for stock ROM from Pratap. He has excellent connections and can get you at least the Videocon ROM and may be others . Don't forget to thank him. Hallao Sir,
See the thread below.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...2742702&page=2
It has very viidly narrated there.
You can increase the storage to 1.92 or 2.46 or 2.7 or 7 GB according to your use. It is not satraight forward.
For a trouble free installation, i have given all the required files to flash through smart phone flash tool.
I have suggested to flash using the stock ROM with stock boot.img and stock recovery.img. Then change it to custom recovery and then flash the CWM based any custom rom.
You try it if you feel any difficulty please come back here. It is almost 15 days or so over and so far no difficulties reported.
You may be knowing how to use the smart phone tool flash. I am preparing CWM based one and will port soon.
Enjoy

Dear Sir,
I am providing you the url where the procedure is available to increase phone internal storage, I just copied what ever there and also posted below for your ease.
The url is :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2742702&page=2
Try this and you can slo get the other ports and discussion there on.
I am pasting the page which pertains to increasing the internal storage only.
Dear XOLO Q3000 friends,
I am porting today some files to increase the internal phone storage to 1.93 GB or to 2.46 GB or to 2. 7 GB or 7 GB size. There are many short cuts also. But to be on the safe side and trouble free one, I am providing with the smartphone tool to install the stock rom and respective files loaded in the same stock rom.
I have also provided the Carliv Touch recovery that you can change afterwards. We can flash the Carliv touch recovery in the first go. It is advisable to opt for stock recovery flash first.
Please download the Smart Phone Flash Tool SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1328.0.183a provided here. You can also use the your own SPFT that you have been using to handle your Q 3000.
If you have not installed the drivers, to ease your process I am providing the driver files also. In all there are 8 drivers and please try to install all the 8 drivers.
Please down load the base ROM file that is provided in the .7z format file and down load it , open it and take to your desk top where you might already have your SPFT tool also.
Click opens the flash tool .exe file and waits for the tool to open up.
Then click the Scatter file and take your curser the scatter file provided in the XOLO_Q3000_S003_15102013
This wll automatically open all the required files for the successful flash of the rom, the stock boot, stock recovery, stock EBR1 and EBR2 (EBRo and EBR2o in my folder) will be loaded.
Now chose your storage requirement, 193,246 or 273 or 7z which corresponds to 1.93, 2.46, 2.73 and 7 GB internal space. Both and respective EBR1 and EBR2 has to loaded and please take care.
After loading either you click Firmware upgrade or download to flash the rom.
Please note while uploading the SPTF stock Rom 2.73 GB ebr was not loaded and it is given here and take it and use as you please.
Wait for the yellow bar to pass and green circle to pop up.
Enjoy the increase storage.
Down load the file from the url below:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_V...it?usp=sharing
2.7gb.7z
SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1328.0.183a.7z
xolo Drivers.7z
Driverxolo.tar
Once you flash this rom with the storage you chose. next step is to change the recovery to the CARLIV touch one, which is provided inside the flah rom. After flashing this as usual you can flash the custom rom which ever you want. It is advisable to reboot twice or thrice with the gap of 2 minutes and carryout your operation.
Please note when i flashed the 7 gb partician the secong imei was notg shown and after 2 reboots the sim worked. May be for other roms it may happen. Also it is advisable to format factory data reset using the phone settings to confirm your storage capacity.
Please write here for any problems or difficulties I shall try to provide if feasible the solutions.

And thanks for the links, guys. I can flash the recovery via Flashify app, right?

It stable ??
It's Sudamod v5.1.1 and i think it was created by chinese developer.
I installed on v5.0.2 stock rom and also updated the gapps (v5.1 full pack), the new version works fine except the "clock" app. It showing the "unfortunately clock has stopped".
I updated the latest app from google store , but no use and appears same error, and also the the launcher used is not quick and not responsive in time.
And also the battery percentage is missing which is useful to know how much remained the battery.
Not wipe system?
I have used this ROM. Things working fine include both sims, data, GPS, FM radio, calls are going fine. Issues found: Battery degrading way too fast. Not worth using as a daily driver. Software buttons options not visible under the buttons options. Too bad for multitasking. Lagging too much while running more than 1 app.
Installation failed
when i try to install it show failed
what to do
Hello folks,
A couple months ago I bought an LG Treasure and so far I am pretty happy with it. My issue now is my storage is running low (Roughly 500mb left), I have tried "move to SD" but it only moves the apps to the internal SD not my 8GB external SD. I searched around a bit on here and google and I did find a few methods to work around this but most of them required root. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a root method for this phone. I did find one post on here that seemed quite promising but at the end of the post it said that it did not work on Lollipop and the treasure is a Lollipop phone. So my question is does anyone know of a way to move them to the external SD without root on a device running Lollipop? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Vort.
You could try running apps like link 2 SD which would shift the apk along with the data to the external memory card.Else there's no method to switch storages like we could do in android 4.4.

Because the inabillity to move apps to SD is considered a security feature there isn't a way around it without exploits. In this case root. If you want to root your phone reffer the the guide below:
Universal rooting methods:
Warnings:
You are modifying your own phone on your own risk.
There is a slight chance that your phone may brick,
and if it does I will not be held responsible for whatever you do to your phone.
If you have a warranty, after rooting it will no longer be valid.
If your phone has a flash counter, some methods may trip it
resulting in a void warranty or a bricked phone (or both).
If your phone has KNOX, it may be tripped by some methods,
resulting in, once again, a void warranty.
If your phone is encrypted, the data partition
may be wiped for some methods.
There are more warnings specific to certain devices. Do your own research on your particular device model.

Computerless methods:
1. Framaroot
2. Towelroot
3. Kingroot for Android
4. Kingoroot for Android (Not recommended, but often works)
5. iRoot for Android
6. z4root
Methods requiring a computer:
1. iRoot
2. Root Master
3. Kingroot
3. Kingoroot (Not recommended)
4. CF-Auto-Root
Root Checker - Check if your device is correctly rooted
SuperSU - the recommended superuser application
ADB and fastboot drivers:
ADB and fastboot are (extremely simplified) a way for your computer to talk to your phone. And installing them may be a bit of a problem for some users.
To install it on windows there is a handy tool called the 15 Second ADB installer which will install pretty much everything you need.
On Ubuntu install with:
Code:
sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot
On Fedora:
Code:
sudo dnf install android-tools
On OS X using Homebrew:
Code:
brew install android-platform-tools
Recovery:
A custom recovery is an important part of device unlocking. It's the best and the most convenient way to fix your device if something goes wrong.
Root is required (in most cases) for installing the recovery.
The two most popular recoveries are:
1. Clockworkmod recovery (CWM) - CWM is a very stable recovery with many useful features. You can use the link here to download and install the official version via the ROM Manager app.
2. Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) - TWRP is a stable recovery with a very nice UI and many features such as the terminal, partition management, file browser and so on. I personally use TWRP because of it's functionality, but if you're starting out CWM would be a better choice because of it's stability and compatibility. Also TWRP is a tiny bit more difficult to install as there is no one click installer.
If your device is not officially supported you can get an unofficial version, however there is no grantee the unofficial version will work, it might even forever break your device. In most cases it does work, just look at what other people who tested it say.
To find unofficial recoveries Google:
[your phone model] cwm recovery
or
[your phone model] twrp recovery
After installing the recovery the first thing you should do it do a nandroid backup.
If you have any questions first try to Google the answer, but if you can't find it feel free to ask me here with a post (not a PM).
