[Feature Request] Song lyrics viewer - MX Player

Hello!
Please, add the ability to view song lyrics from tags in audio files.
Yes, I could use another app, more audio focused, but I love yours so much!
For me it's perfect in every way except the lack of the ability to view lirics while playing a song.
I wish I could use the only app - yours - to play all my music and films.
If you add the feature I would be very very greatful!
Thanks!

Given that MX is video focused, something like that which is really focusing on songs would be a very low priority item for MX.

Hi, I've read your post, it seems like I wrote it myself or you read my mind. I entirely agree with you.

I'm working on a new music player based on VPlayer, please tell me what do you need?

We are the VPlayer team, and developing a new music player.
Some plans:
Kinds of music format support;
Music video support;
Basic music player operations;
Unique control style;
Support for the disabled;
...
So, what do you want for a music player? Any comment is appreciated
Support not just video, but music as well, so I don't have to have a couple of apps instead of one.
Definetly want to see an equilazer for music, and contrast/brightness settings for video.
Better file browser (smaller icons/labels, more info on files, sorting, bookmarks)
Playlist support.
Any pics of the interface?

All these plus
Aspect ratio for video and audio balance i.e left and right levels for music and video

Yes, but the UI has not been completely finished. Please wait for my updating posts. Thanks
1.SPPEDUP without changing pitch, slide with regulation from slow to for example 400% faster.
2.Option for removing silence for example when someone is slowly talker spaces between are long and this is really boring to listen such audio book or smth.
So it would be nice if player would have option to delete silence with regulation like delete when voice db is lower than 3db and delete silence when silence is longer than 200ms etc.
It would be good to listening audiobook.
This player could just prebuffer some music into memory scan it for silence in separate thread and delete it but this is technical so you know it.

Equlizer good bass support, a simple lockscreen widget
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
flac/ogg support! homescreen/lockscreen widget!
Why ?
Once the finished works for sale
The user on XDA are your guinea pig
HD Video support for all the formats...!!
At least make sure it supports 720p videos..!!
Good UI, some widget and a lockscreen. Not much, but essential.
Music listing by folder!
Just like what Mortplayer does.
link to twitter
can u add up a link to twitter so we can tell ppl what we r listening to?
that would b great. thanks for this brilliant idea
Good looking UI and good looking widgets (multiple widgets even better).
EQ.
Smoothness.
Shake to switch songs?
Gestures
See Audiogalaxy ... copy its streaming abilities from my PC to my phone. But also add support for photos and videos streaming if possible.
Make sure to include a gesture based lock screen widget, exactly like Mixzing has. What is great about their lock screen widget is that it reactivates the screen for a few seconds when a new song starts. That gives you an oprotunity to quickly see what is playing, and swipe to skip to next song if you desire. Great function for when you are driving!
Include an easy to use Playlist creator.
Keep the user interface simple and minimalistic looking. No need for fancy graphics. Simple goes a long way. Make sure the Now Playing section shows the album art as big as you can. We take a lot of time tagging our music with artwork, so we want to see it.
Seriously, see Mixzing's app. They have almost the perfect music player. The only thing it lacks now is streaming abilities. I would like to use it to stream my media from my PC, like I do with Audiogalaxy. I use Audiogalaxy exclusivly now; even though it lacks a lot of the fuctions I really want from Mixzing. Streaming has become that important to me for my media players. Screw the Cloud, give me access to MY pc.
-professional-looking widget (lockscreen and homescreen)
-ID3 Tag Editor (something unlike PowerAMP where you edit tags of music files and becomes unplayable on other music player)
-prominent album art display in now playing screen (but not too big)
-Headphone support
-beautiful UI
screen lock
i have one more thing if some one hasnt already said. SORRY FOR NOT READING THE WHOLE FORUM. can u gyz get the system to lock the screen with a tap on trackball so videos wont keep on skipping while we have our phones in our pocket..plz
sorry for my bad english, i hope u understand what i mean. cheers

[Feature Request] bookmark video

I wish mxplayer has the option for users to bookmark the video like the mvideo player. It will be very convenient for user to go back to certain time spot in the video to replay. It just likes creating chapters for video clip.
It would be a good feature!
Though, MX already remembers last playback position when you return to an unfinished video.
I think it's not answer!.
The questions is about many bookmarks on single video file!.
I am in the same situation like kbwme2006.
Please add a bookmarks/sections on playing a single video who have got a many topics/division/teology parts in one file.
It will be perfect for technician video like TOTURIALs to be add bookmark like simle points.
Of course it will be perfect to can by buttons PREV/NEXT go beetween this bookmars/sections on single film.
This situation is in pot player at PC.
BR temp user.
In my opinion many bookmarks will be perfect. I use PotPlayer too.
It's look like: i (dot) imgur (dot) com / YvKatF2 (dot) png
Shift+Pg[Up/Down] step between those bookmars at the same one video.
The bookmars are saved into separate file next to original played file.

I think what you are referring to are mkv chapter markers. Mkv videos can have chapter indicators, but MX currently doesn't support interpretation of chapter markers in Mkvs.

Hey bro. Bookmarking means keeping records of streaming links for future uses , the same way browser do. I also use lot of tv channel's link for watching them. MX player handle better than the official tv app. So keeping the record ( like a video list) of links in MX Player will be easy for me. I dont need to manually copy from file manager then paste in MX player. Please inform Developer about this feature.
I want to setup bookmarks and have a-b playback and repeat just like androids Act 1 video player has had for years. It's a real shame this simple request has never been implemented as I've been requesting it for years.

[Q] Problems with Audio Track selection

I have an .mvk movie that I'm attempting to play on my phone, but the audio track being played is a commentary, rather than the movie soundtrack. Is there a way I can tell MX Player to use the movie soundtrack instead of the commentary?
Thank you very much for your assistance.
Further information:
I have another movie which is doing the same thing. I found a (hopefully temporary) solution of a sorts -- VLC beta for Android picks up the movie soundtrack rather than the commentary in both cases. And, though I like VLC just fine, and use it nearly exclusively on my desktop, I prefer MX Player on my phone. Thank you for your assistance.

... when you're playing a video, you can change the audio track in the menu.
Also, try changing your audio language preferences.
If you have the media info, we could take a closer look.
Thank you so much for your assistance. The audio track feature shows only the track I'm listening to, and "disable" as my choices. The language change didn't help, presumably because both audio tracks are the same language (English). I ran mkvinfo on the file, and it doesn't show a 'default' flag on any track.
I am attaching the mkvinfo results for your review.

[APP][5.0+] Musigraph Music Player (Ad Free music player)

Tired of boring User Interfaces. Musigraph was built from the ground up with a beautiful, dynamic AMOLED UI in mind.
Thus Musigraph uses a song's album art to dynamically change the color of its UI elements, even supporting subtle animations here and there.
It also has different and colorful default Album Art to keep your UI colorful, even if you do not have Album Art for all your songs.
Further, Musigraph is a fully featured Music Player, with support for Albums, Artists, Genres, Playlists, Folders and even a home screen that automatically detects your favorite songs for easy access.
It also includes a Song Trimmer / Ringtone Maker, a Sleep Timer, a Equalizer (with support for Reverb, Bass Boost and a Virtualizer), a Song Tag Editor, and the ability to download Artist Art.
It now also supports LYRICS and the Tag Editor got a massive overhaul, now supporting automatic fixing of some songs.
Music Video Support also added!
And ALL this, with NO Ads!
Feature list so far:
Now Supports playing MUSIC VIDEOS (even in the background)
Free and still No Ads
Built around an AMOLED Theme.
Supports Auto-Downloading Artist Images.
Color changing UI.
Find Songs by Artist, Album, Genre, Playlist, AND Folders.
Edit the queue of upcoming songs.
Automatically detect your Favorite Songs, Playlists and Artists.
Easily add a song to Favorites
Sleep Timer.
Supports WearOS Music controls.
and other normal music player tasks.
Song Details Editor
Song Trimmer / Ringtone Maker
Play animations
Built in Equalizer
THEMES
More exiting features planned, including, but not limited to: Music Video Support, LastFM suggestion integration, and maybe WearOS, Android Auto and Google Cast Support.

How is this thread still empty??
Finally a really good music player. I'm done with retro music player and moving to this. Absolutely awesome work!
Suggestion: make the now playing view with the album as background less dark. It's hard to see it in the sun
Also, the miui equalizer is not recognized.

Thanks for the positive feedback.
I will surely listen to your suggestion about making the Now playing album art less dark. And I will also look into the EQ problem, but it may be difficult to track down as I don't have access to MIUI phone, but I will try to Google it
Version 1.1.5 Now Live
Music Video Playback Support Added!

Feature Request: Crossfade between tracks

Hi, thank you for your fantastic application. Is the only one on play store that really support multichannel audio on android tv boxes!
Now for a really complex (and budgetless) museal work, i have to launch (with tasker) some mp4 audio files. I have seen that theres a "fade on start" under audio settings, but is really short.
Is possibile to have a custom Crossfade lenght?
Thank for your response and for your work!
Crossfade and gapless audio between music transitions
I wanted to post a feature request for crossfade and gapless transition between songs then I saw OP's post but I didn't see the link posted in the main topic on feature request and bugs list.
Indeed this is a fantastic app. In fact I have been using my MX Player Pro more and more due to the many features and convenience it provides me. But unlike PowerAmp, it doesn't have the crossfade and gapless transition between songs. I would like to see the option for crossfade between music transitions with adjustable length between 1 and 10 seconds. Also I would like to see the option for eliminating silence at the end and beginning of two consecutive songs.
Thank you to dev team for continuing to improve and support the best media player anywhere.
