[Q] Problems with Audio Track selection - MX Player

I have an .mvk movie that I'm attempting to play on my phone, but the audio track being played is a commentary, rather than the movie soundtrack. Is there a way I can tell MX Player to use the movie soundtrack instead of the commentary?
Thank you very much for your assistance.

Further information:
I have another movie which is doing the same thing. I found a (hopefully temporary) solution of a sorts -- VLC beta for Android picks up the movie soundtrack rather than the commentary in both cases. And, though I like VLC just fine, and use it nearly exclusively on my desktop, I prefer MX Player on my phone. Thank you for your assistance.

... when you're playing a video, you can change the audio track in the menu.
Also, try changing your audio language preferences.
If you have the media info, we could take a closer look.

Thank you so much for your assistance. The audio track feature shows only the track I'm listening to, and "disable" as my choices. The language change didn't help, presumably because both audio tracks are the same language (English). I ran mkvinfo on the file, and it doesn't show a 'default' flag on any track.
I am attaching the mkvinfo results for your review.

I'm working on a new music player based on VPlayer, please tell me what do you need?

We are the VPlayer team, and developing a new music player.
Some plans:
Kinds of music format support;
Music video support;
Basic music player operations;
Unique control style;
Support for the disabled;
...
So, what do you want for a music player? Any comment is appreciated
Support not just video, but music as well, so I don't have to have a couple of apps instead of one.
Definetly want to see an equilazer for music, and contrast/brightness settings for video.
Better file browser (smaller icons/labels, more info on files, sorting, bookmarks)
Playlist support.
Any pics of the interface?

All these plus
Aspect ratio for video and audio balance i.e left and right levels for music and video

Yes, but the UI has not been completely finished. Please wait for my updating posts. Thanks
1.SPPEDUP without changing pitch, slide with regulation from slow to for example 400% faster.
2.Option for removing silence for example when someone is slowly talker spaces between are long and this is really boring to listen such audio book or smth.
So it would be nice if player would have option to delete silence with regulation like delete when voice db is lower than 3db and delete silence when silence is longer than 200ms etc.
It would be good to listening audiobook.
This player could just prebuffer some music into memory scan it for silence in separate thread and delete it but this is technical so you know it.

Equlizer good bass support, a simple lockscreen widget
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
flac/ogg support! homescreen/lockscreen widget!
Why ?
Once the finished works for sale
The user on XDA are your guinea pig
HD Video support for all the formats...!!
At least make sure it supports 720p videos..!!
Good UI, some widget and a lockscreen. Not much, but essential.
Music listing by folder!
Just like what Mortplayer does.
link to twitter
can u add up a link to twitter so we can tell ppl what we r listening to?
that would b great. thanks for this brilliant idea
Good looking UI and good looking widgets (multiple widgets even better).
EQ.
Smoothness.
Shake to switch songs?
Gestures
See Audiogalaxy ... copy its streaming abilities from my PC to my phone. But also add support for photos and videos streaming if possible.
Make sure to include a gesture based lock screen widget, exactly like Mixzing has. What is great about their lock screen widget is that it reactivates the screen for a few seconds when a new song starts. That gives you an oprotunity to quickly see what is playing, and swipe to skip to next song if you desire. Great function for when you are driving!
Include an easy to use Playlist creator.
Keep the user interface simple and minimalistic looking. No need for fancy graphics. Simple goes a long way. Make sure the Now Playing section shows the album art as big as you can. We take a lot of time tagging our music with artwork, so we want to see it.
Seriously, see Mixzing's app. They have almost the perfect music player. The only thing it lacks now is streaming abilities. I would like to use it to stream my media from my PC, like I do with Audiogalaxy. I use Audiogalaxy exclusivly now; even though it lacks a lot of the fuctions I really want from Mixzing. Streaming has become that important to me for my media players. Screw the Cloud, give me access to MY pc.
-professional-looking widget (lockscreen and homescreen)
-ID3 Tag Editor (something unlike PowerAMP where you edit tags of music files and becomes unplayable on other music player)
-prominent album art display in now playing screen (but not too big)
-Headphone support
-beautiful UI
screen lock
i have one more thing if some one hasnt already said. SORRY FOR NOT READING THE WHOLE FORUM. can u gyz get the system to lock the screen with a tap on trackball so videos wont keep on skipping while we have our phones in our pocket..plz
sorry for my bad english, i hope u understand what i mean. cheers

I'm sorry but your translating service is making a mess of your question...
What is "clip"? Album art? Lyrics? What you "download from youtube" is normally video, which Electrostatic Text already mentioned.

I want a player that plays songs and the song's video player. Without separation of video and songs. If the song has a video he saw him, unless he noy has a movie he saw a picture or a picture of the player. The songs I download YouTubeבטל עריכות
I don't know of any such apps, but I know what you mean now, so I'll elaborate for anyone else who might know:
He/she wants the same kind of music player system that you get with iTunes and iOS devices, where music videos and audio files mix in a way that makes it appear as though music videos are simply audio files with video album art. They mix with the audio file in every other way, from artist/album/etc tags to being included in playlists and shuffle modes.

right, : I want like the iphone player.
we can do it int android ? threre player like that ?
I tried searching on Google Play but couldn't find anything... maybe someone knows of a player that can do it.
I liked that feature in iOS too, but there's one problem with it: video files don't have any system for storing album/artist/title data. Apple adds that to its videos using the .m4v container format, which is how they can merge the two so seamlessly. Without that system in place, it's tricky finding a way to mix audio with album/artist/title data with video files that don't have them. Not impossible, but it could explain why there doesn't seem to be any such apps.

MX Player starts with audio track #2

Hello,
My question in the subject,
Somehow, MX Player starts playing video files choosing audio track #2. And I would like videos to be played with track #1 by default
Is it possible to achieve it?
Language settings (en/ru/fr etc) do not help
Thanks!

In mkv container If any of your audio track has default track tag than that will be played first regardless of track number.
MX Player can play your preferred language. But, for that proper lanuage identification tag is to be used while muxing.
Can you post the media info of the file?
So, that we can identify the exact problem.
I have the same problem. Could you add an option that lets the user set the prefered default audio track?

Feature Request: Crossfade between tracks

Hi, thank you for your fantastic application. Is the only one on play store that really support multichannel audio on android tv boxes!
Now for a really complex (and budgetless) museal work, i have to launch (with tasker) some mp4 audio files. I have seen that theres a "fade on start" under audio settings, but is really short.
Is possibile to have a custom Crossfade lenght?
Thank for your response and for your work!
Crossfade and gapless audio between music transitions
I wanted to post a feature request for crossfade and gapless transition between songs then I saw OP's post but I didn't see the link posted in the main topic on feature request and bugs list.
Indeed this is a fantastic app. In fact I have been using my MX Player Pro more and more due to the many features and convenience it provides me. But unlike PowerAmp, it doesn't have the crossfade and gapless transition between songs. I would like to see the option for crossfade between music transitions with adjustable length between 1 and 10 seconds. Also I would like to see the option for eliminating silence at the end and beginning of two consecutive songs.
Thank you to dev team for continuing to improve and support the best media player anywhere.

Simple one-file audio player with easy intra-file seeking

Hello, I'm looking for a simple audio player that makes it easy to seek in a single file. I am not looking for features for handling multiple tracks such as playlists, libraries, etc. I am not looking for video.
I just want to pick a file and play it. It could be any popular audio codec, for example MP3, OGG, FLAC. While it's playing, I'd like to be able to easily step forward/back in chunks or easily move the current position forward/back. I want to be able to stop/start (pause) easily and wind forward back when paused or playing. If I had a physical deck then it would have a jog controller that allowed this kind of action.
I normally use VLC but I can't navigate easily within one file. The on screen interface is nearly impossible to use when you just want to jog back and forth a few seconds. I've tried using the position slider but it's unreliable and jumpy - you can't get the level of accuracy I'm looking for.
If I can make VLC do it with a plugin or something, that would be great. But another app that does one thing and does it well would be ok if VLC can't do this.
My searching has proved fruitless. So, suggestions for something simple (and free) ?
Well I found an app called "Maple JB" that is working for me so far. It has a nice feature where it can loop between two points. It lacks an option to keep the screen on which is a shame.
