Greetings and welcome to xda. Its not really a question we can answer, all the popular brands have lots of custom roms. It is probably best to look around for yourself and decide what is important to you, if the latest updates and operating system is then look at the nexus line other than that enjoy your stay at xda
Sawdoctor

I wz also suggesting myself for nexus ... But can u suggest nexus 5 or 4

Hey XDA I just rooted me Nexus SGT I9020T(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1984858) by that method and am new to Rooting/Flashing Androids. I was wondering if anyone could tell me more on ROMS,Custom Recovery and Kernels. Also which ROM i should use for best performance.

The best ROM discussions aren't allowed on xda. Just go through development section in ur forum and chose whichever suits u the best.
life!
agree completely with above
OP, best ROM threads are really pointless because each person is going to have a different lists of things they need the ROM to do and what they expect from a ROM. The best thing to do is read through the forum for your phone Nexus S and gather all the information you can from there. There are stickies and tons of threads in Development to help you and guide you. Just pick a few ROMs that look interesting to you and flash them and see which best fits your needs.
Good Luck. Closing this one.

[Q] Costume Roms?

Hi! I just bought the note last week and I'm facing a problem concerning the use of costume Roms. The fact is I can't find a place with proper info about which one it's faster or what are the functionality differences between the most appreciated ones.
Can you orient me please?
Thanks

Zedomax has some ROM video reviews on his web page, so you may want to start there. http://rootgalaxynote.com/category/galaxy-note-10-1-roms/

Basically you read the roms description and make your own mind up .
Their is no real world testing as user requirements vary phones vary and custom roms are constantly updated .
Your best rom may not be my best rom and as their are few custom roms try them all .

I've been reading a bit and I came to 2 or 3 that I will test.

[Completed] [Q] Goophone MF353zp/a Iphone 5s clone

Hello Guys, First time poster here. I have been scouring the internet for the past few days looking for some solutions, and found that XDA was the best place for android users to congregate and give help and opinions.:highfive:
First off, let me start off by saying that I am a complete android noob when it comes to messing around with rooting and flashing. So pardon if some of the things I say come across as foolish.
My girlfriend bought me what she thought was an original iphone 5s on her recent trip to China where she was teaching English. Little did she know that she got fooled into buying what I now found out is a Goophone i5s MF353zp/a. :crying:Since I want to keep the phone since she did get it for me as a nice gesture, I am trying to get it to run a regular android 4.2.2 jelly bean or better, without all the iphone icons and iphone crap. Also the phone did not come with playstore so I cannot download apps that I would use on a regular basis. Also most of the stuff is in Chinese and I just want to be able to use it as a regular android phone. I read up on roms, and rooting and flashing, but if someone could tell me the best way to go about getting a regular android version on the phone along with google play store, It would be much appreciated.
Thanks for reading my long post. Be Safe. Cheers :good:

Thanks for your reply. Are you sure about this? Because it is currently running 4.2.2 with an ios skin from what I could read on the internet.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. There is not much information about your device on XDA but I did find these which may help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449981
http://www.xda-developers.com/goophone-i5-unboxed-the-xda-way-xda-developer-tv/
I'm not that familiar with the Goophone but I believe you'll want to know the what I believe is the processor number, it starts with MTK followed by 4 numbers. Before you do anything see if you can find that and then ask in the threads linked. If all else fails ask in this forum, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help
Good luck!

Thanks buddy. I'll check out the links you gave. :good: I might have come across the links before, but I was too scared to try something since I did not want to brick the phone. As for the processor number, I came across MT6572, if that's the one. I can't find anything with MTK. Appreciate your help in this. :fingers-crossed:
Yes, it was my mistake on the MTK. It's MT. I'll close this thread then.

[Completed] Requesting ROMs for InFocus M530

Hi,
I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, also not sure if I may sound logical or not!
The phone is released with KITKAT on it and the manufacturer is not going to update the firmware on it. I want to upgrade to Lolipop/Marshmallow, which ever is possible.
1. Is there any ROM available for Infocus M530 ?
2. Can I use ROMs for other phones on this?
3. If nothing works, can I modify any ROM to suit this phone?
Thanks In advance for any and all responses.
Please Note:
All kind of remarks, including negative are welcome though.
Please do not post offensive replies. I want this thread clean.

Mike,
XDA forum is not your back yard where you can "command" and then whine about not getting the answer quickly. Be thankful that we have XDA assist to help lazy people like yourself to make your phones "cool".
If you thought for one second that we are here to provide you customer service, you are gravely and sadly mistaken.
I am going to excuse your tone with our support team this one time.
Please use the search function and find answers for yourself, and if you do not find an answer, the only reason would be that you did not search hard enough!!
Thanks.
For one thing go **** u think u can talk to me like that I was pointing out facts about what IV seen and experienced on here if u think that I'm lazy go take Ur phone bend over and ask Ur team for some assistance I work to much to have time to fiddle around with silly little school girls moaning if about I ask a question I expect it to be answered and been polite or I'll give them some kind words just so u remember who pays Ur wages
