Hello girls and guys,
i'm searching an app or a mod or something else, where it is possible to make notifications intelligent.
I thing many people know this, for example whatsapp messages, you get multible notifications because someone is writing a long story and sends this story sentence by sentence and every secound the phone makes a *pling* and vibrates but it is not possible for the moment to take a look on the phone because you are in a real conversation with some one.
It would be easy just to disable notifications for some minutes.
But i think this should be more comfortable.
So does someone know if there is something possible where the phone just make a noise for the first incoming notification and than keeps silent until i react on this? Or makes new notifications every 15min as reminder for unreaded messages. Something like this. It should be configurable.
Hopefully it is comprehensible.

Okay, only had the phone a couple of days but I've spent all afternoon trying to work out how to turn on an alert for incoming SMS without having to listen to an annoying beep everytime I send an SMS.
I'd prefer to keep a customised ringtone yet the various sound profiles accessed from the Today screen dont let me select my own ringtones.
I assume I'm overlooking the obvious but I can't find how to do it.
Can anyone help?

I've set the phone so I have to enter a password everytime it goes into 'sleep' mode but cant now find how to knock this off when I'm in the house - can anyone help?

I'm afraid it's one of those, either have it on or off. After playing a little longer, you'll notice other things as well, eg. sms/missed call notifications are not repeated amongst other things.
The good news is that there are plenty of 3rd party apps that offer better or extensive use of your Polaris like profiles. A couple that spring to mind are PhoneAlarm and spb phone suite. I think PhoneAlarm might offer what you need like 'launching a program depending on location' and such. Both are shareware though.
Try first googling xda-developers to see what others are saying. Maybe I missed a little app that does exactly what you want.

How many times have you been talking to someone on the phone and said, "Oh damn! There was something I wanted to tell you but I've forgotten it now!" What if there were an app that could let you make "reminders" attached to contacts within your phone, so that the next time you call them or they call you, it will automatically display that reminder on the call screen?
I'd buy it.
well i had a great idea, im sure there are apps like this already out there, but i made it as simple as possible. So if you ever lose your phone and have it on silent or vibrate which i know we all do all the time lol. well check this app out. simply make a secret word or phrase and next time you lose your phone, take a friends phone or any phone you can get ahold of ahha and text that secret word or phrase to your phone and it will set your default ringer off and take your phone out of silent!. I use watchit to display my notifications from my phone to my smartwatch..
i just wanted to ask, is there a way to make it act this way.
This way being:
. For example, when someone sends me a whatsapp message, usually, it displays a whatsapp icon at the top of my phone. With my phone, it still does that as well as watchit sending a notification to my phone.
Is there a way, so when i SEE the notification on my SMARTWATCh, it will clear the notification on my PHONE so they don't appear at the top. Kinda like, mark as read via smartwatch!

If only !!
I would like this too ... but even worse is the reverse. if you have a few messages on your phone the notifications build up on your watch and there is no easy way to dismiss all notifications .. you have to manually read (or swipe as fast as you can) every message in the list ... very pre-historic and should be addressed !!

Or go into the particular extension in smartwatch app, and clear all....

My dudes, I'm looking for two things to ease my sanity.
1) I would love every single app on my phone to notify me once, and only once. I'm about to roundhouse kick my phone into the future because all my apps just bing bing bing all day. I need to hear when I get a new text message, but I do NOT need to hear 50 replies to a text message.
2) My phone needs to not make a noise when I'm talking on the phone. I don't care if my motion sensor is going off in my garage, I'll see it when I'm done talking.
Any recommendations? My google-fu is weak on this one. I'll buy anything or install any ROM I don't care. My blood pressure thanks you.
wait for notification to show and hold notification so it shows that certain app notification setting then from there just disable it
