This rom improves the battery?
I have a Blu Studio Selfie with the stock rom and the battery is horrible, and what is the best rom to save battery for you?

Bug
I have a problem with the rom, when i´m in youtube and i put the video quality to 480p the image freeze but the audio it´s still working.
P.D: sorry my bad English.

I saw that the Studio Selfie uses the MT6580 chipset, which has a kernel version of 3.10. I'm looking to port CM to my Energy X 2 with the same chipset and kernel version, however since the kernel version is 3.10, there is no device tree, however that's required for porting CM. How did you get around this? Also, where did you get the vendor tree? Thanks

I'm having some problems with this ROM,The camera doesn't allow to choose another storage than internal memory. After I make a phone call, I press back button and it stills in the dial screen.
Other issues i've found is when i connect to another device by using bluetooth, my own one asks me for register as a trustable device and asks me for the pattern to do this, i draw the pattern and i'm asked for it again, again, again,... adn so on

I have a BLU Studio Selfie 2 with Android 6.0 preinstalled. I cannot find ANY method of unlocking the bootloader. I've tried quite literally every method I can find on XDA and the web, and I cannot get it to root. Even though I select the "allow unlocking bootloader" option in Developer Options, when I power on into the boot menu it won't let me use Volume Up to select bootloader mode ... so I can't flash a custom ROM, and I can't backup the stock ROM. I also read on the web that Android 6.0 has more strict methods for preventing root access, so maybe I should downgrade to an earlier Android version first?
Regardless, there is very little I've found through weeks of searching that applies directly to this model phone, and nothing has been successful [yet] in rooting it. Can you point me to a method that might work?

Use ADB and type adb reboot bootloader
That will get you into the bootloader and then you type fastboot OEM unlock. I ported this ROM to my Blu energy x 2 and I didn't need to unlock the bootloader.

When I type "fast OEM unlock", the device says to press the Volume Up key to confirm... but that's part of the problem, this phone won't let me press the Volume Up button, only Volume Down which exits and reboots normally.
I also asked the question about possibly downgrading to an earlier version of Android first, then trying to root. This is based on a disturbing statement found in the post https://www.xda-developers.com/a-look-at-marshmallow-root-verity-complications/ :
"If you want root today, on Android Marshmallow (6.0), you’re going to need to use a modified boot image. While it remains to be seen if this remains true indefinitely, it looks likely to be the case for some time – SELinux changes make it much harder to get root access without modifying the boot image. And as modifying the boot image requires an unlocked bootloader, this could put an end to root (and Xposed and other root features) on devices which are shipped with bootloaders that can’t be unlocked by end users. "
Thoughts?

@uptwolait ...... first install proper adb drivers on your pc as well as mobistel cynus f4 driver .... then turn on oem unlocking from developer options ..... now reboot to bootloader "adb reboot bootloader" ....remember you should run cmd prompt from the folder where adb files are present ..... then when bootloader opens type "fastboot oem unlock " ... now press both vol up and vol down ...... after like 10-15 sec type "fastboot reboot" now let the device wipe itself and reboot ...... finally flash twrp/cwm using fastboot after then phone starts up and going to bootloader option .... command is "fastboot flash recovery (your recovery name.img) .... then fastboot reboot ..... and finally reboot to twrp and flash super su root zip .... thats it

I've been having the same issues. There's nothing online about the phones nor the problem. My guess is BLU bugs the bootloader to prevent unlocking. Nothing we can do I guess

Man .... we can even unlock bootloader of latest phones like pixel , one plus 3T .... then what the heck are these mediatek phones .. .. they have the lowest security .... the process you tried to do may be wrong thats why bootloader is not unlocked ... ...... i guess i will make a video for step by step tutorial to unlock bootloader for blu devices ...... most of people are asking me for that ... wait for 1-2 days

I just thought of something. With smartphone flash tool, you can flash a custom recovery. From there, just flash SuperSU ZIP file and you should be rooted. It doesn't need an unlocked bootloader to flash the recovery.

But I've seen guide after guide. The phone is just physically incapable of being unlocked at the point when you click volume up.

If you use Smartphone Flash tool to flash the custom recovery, and then use your phone's original boot.img in the ROM, you don't need to unlock your Bootloader. For root just flash the SuperSU ZIP and it will generate a rooted boot image and flash it. All that shouldn't need an unlocked bootloader if I'm correct.

OK, so I just emailed BLU about it, and this is what they said:
"We don't support unlocking of the bootloader or tampering of software. Therefore, we will not be able to provide you with any information. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused".
So, it basically sounds like they did do something.
Also, this reminded me of another BLU phone owner who could not even get his device to show up in fastboot devices, even after installing the proper drivers.

[Tutorial][Root][Guide] Root Acer Liquid Zest 4G z528 (t07)

Hi, I will be showing you how to root this device, it's a pretty new (released last year) model from Acer (a company dev hates becauseof their no-release firmware).
I will not be held responsible for anything that will happen, proceed at your own risk
ABOUT (ME?):
ive had this device, i really wanted to root it, but turns out that no official or legit guide is available in the internet. But with the help of some other guides about previous tutorial, and a big thanks to smartmanvartan who provided the customized twrp port for my device.
PREREQUISITES
1. ADB and fastboot, here is a guide (Note: im using linux), if youre in windows, go to the acer webpage and download the usb driver for the device and install it.
2. the twrp port in here. Then unpack that zip file, you will be using the twrp-mod.img file.
3. download the supersu.zip here and put it in the external sdcard.
BACKUP!!! Make sure you also have a backup of the original firmware, so if something happens, it's easy to return to stock, you can download the firmware here
Process
Im assuming that you already has the required files. MAKE SURE YOURE DEVICE IS z528, there are two kinds of acer liquid zest 4g.
1. unlock the oem lock in the device, go to settings > about device > go to build number and repeatedly tap on it until you are notified that the developers option is enabled. After that, go to settings > developer option > turn on the enable the oem unlocking, enable usb debugging.
2. turn off your device then boot into fastboot mode (press the VOL UP button and the Power Button) it should boot into the prebootloader, use the VOL UP key to navigate, then VOL DOWN to select, you have 4 options: recovery, fastboot, normal, demo, choose fastboot.
2. while in fastboot mode, connect cable to the phone to the device, then open a terminal (command prompt if youre in windows) then type
Code:
fastboot devices
then enter, it should return a device on the list. (if youre device is not in the list, make sure you've followed the adb and fastboot install guide)
3. Once fastboot detects youre device, do
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
and there will be a prompt in your device, follow it.
4. check everything is okay with
Code:
fastboot getvar all
and look for the bootloader if its unlocked.
5. navigate to the place where the twrp image is located, then open terminal there (windows: shift + right click > open command prompt there) then do
Code:
fastboot boot <name of the twrp.img>
example :
Code:
fastboot boot twrp-mod.img
then wait for the device to restart and boot into the custom recovery.
6. While in the custom recovery, (you will see my name there HAHAHA) tap install, locate the supersu.zip, and wait for it to get flashed. You will see some important notice about not disturbing the process, the device should boot twice and, if everything is successful, voila! your device is rooted, after logging again like your device is fresh from the store, check the supersu app, it should not throw some error
6.5. if it's not working, try repeating the process, then before installing the supersu.zip, go to wipe first, then erase the cache (DO NOT ERASE ANY OTHER!, then go back, wipe swipe to do factory wipe.
EVERYTHING SHOULD WORK!
Just reply if you've encounter any problem.
NOTE:
it also works for the z628 (t08)
Hello,
Does it work for t08?

Im afraid it doesnt, you have to provide/port a custom twrp suitable/compatible for your device.
Hello , but after rebooting the TWRP recovery is gone. Is there a way to replace the original with TWRP on the phone?

The method ive showed you is booting only in twrp, not replacing to stock recovery. After using the command
fastboot boot twrp.img
You should wait for your device to boot into twrp.
If you want to replace the stock recovery, im warning you, google the possible problems that may happen, if you wish to proceed, use the command
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

I got the custom twrp from a person here on xda. To avoid bootloop, don't flash the TWRP, just do the fastboot boot twrp.img, that method will never cause bootloop. What is your device? What happened after you fastboot boot twrp.img?
Your tutorial works fine . But I just want want a custom recovery so that I can make a custom ROM for this device.
i have a question
i downloaded SP Flastool for linux but how put this phone to download mode.
sow that it's connect with the program.

Blu Studio M Hd is the same as Gionee P5w Here General tips, Bootloader + Root TWRP

I DONT OWN THE PHONE ANYMORE AND I CANT HELP ANYONE ELSE ANYMORE, IM SORRY...DISCONTINUED!
So here we are:
Big thanks to Hovatek Enigma who was the first person ever to help me!
Also big thanks to AMD developers, Matrix guys very very friendly !! ( i ported lots of roms that they developed)
First:
1) Blu Studio M Hd is just a rebranded Gionee P5W, the stock gionee rom works fine without porting need via SP flashtools
2) blu Studio M Hd is on lollipop and Gionee is on Marshmallow, you can use gionee marshmallow on it!
Second:
To install Twrp on blu studio M Hd and gionee P5w you need to follow these steps:
1) Download and install minimal adb and its drivers:
( I dont own the video, if you have any questions please use search on xda forum, the process is very similar to all other mediatek devices)
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d04ZwTbstI4
2) Enable Developer mode and do enable "oem unlock" on it
3) with it enabled do insert usb cable and do open adb minimal and type: adb reboot bootloader ( it will reboot into fastboot mode)
4) Here you do type fastboot oem unlock , it will ask you on the phone if you do really want to unlock it, then say yes pressing vol up
5) Your phone is now unlocked, to check it please type fastboot getvar all and it will show unlocked yes
6) do type fastboot reboot and your phone will reboot and enter into bootloop ( this is normal, now remove the battery)
7) Please do download and open Sp flash tools and " download only" the stock rom! it will reinstall the system and now you ll be unlocked and ready to flash twrp and custom roms. ( Remember, to flash blu phones you have to plug in usb without battery and then when it starts you insert battery again)
8) You can find stock firmware here: http://firmwarefile.com/gionee-p5w You can use it on both phones.
9) If you re using blu studio M Hd you ill find out that after the flash it stands on boot animation for a long time, dont worry the first boot will take more than 10 minutes just wait it
10) Now that you re back into the system, do the same process with adb and do enter into bootloader mode by typing: adb reboot bootloader
11) Now you can just flash twrp, just copy twrp files into the minimal adb folder and type: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
12) it will suceed, now you can just boot into twrp by typing fastboot boot recovery.img
Now you re ready to flash any custom rom you want! You can also install super SU after flashing custom roms !
Hope it helps ! You can download twrp here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/twrp-3-0-2-gionee-p5w-walton-primo-gh5-t3432166
Next post will be about custom roms !

I have solved the problem. You can flash any custom recovery without unlocking the bootloader.all you need to do is to download the stock ROM which is android lollipop and flash it using SP flash tools because marshmallow stock ROM does not root easily in my case. so when. You have flash android lollipop ROM you should root it with kingoroot app and then flash twrp recovery using rashr.then you can flash the twrp and custom ROM without unlocking the bootloader..
Hit thanks if it worked
It worked in mine case and I had flashed rr ROM easily (worked fine)
Thanks...

Leagoo t10 help with bootloader unlock

Hi,
Can anybody help me how to unlock the bootloader and root Leagoo t10.
Thanks.
I solved it myself...
I finaly found a way how to unlock the bootloader...
1. I had to turn off the phone
2. hold the volume up button and insert the usb cable to connect to the pc
3. the phone starts at that point to recovery mode and after it I had to reboot to bootloader (from recovery)
4. then I could use the basic fastboot program (it finaly detected the phone via the commant "fastboot devices") and use the command "fastboot oem unlock" to unlock the bootloader
5. I finaly also had to folow the promt on the phone (the phone asked if I realy want to unlock it) to allow the bootloader to be unlocked
6. The bootloader is unlocked (when starting, the phone shows that its been unlocked)
I think that rooting after this wont be a problem...
PS
I forgot to mention that I also installed PdaNet drivers meanwhile which might be the cause fastboot was able to detect my device...
Hi
Finaly did you manage to root it successfully ?
I am just discovering this phone and I am very interested. But I need it to be rooted
Thanks
No not yet.... The trouble is not the root itself but the backing up before doing it... There are no rooting apps witch can do it automatized yet but that should be solved in the future... The problem is creating the scatter file for backup because the software doing that for Mediathek procesors was not updated for a while and can't handle the 67xx series...
There is presently a flash sale on gearbest, I just ordered it. I hope too that the necessary tools will be available some day. Thanks for the explanation. And wait...
You might be interested that a few days ago there is a downloadable version of the official Leagoo t10 software with all backups and the scatter file included... You can Google it but I believe it was page called something like " need ROMs"...
Now I could try now to Port a custom recovery but after 20 hours of trying I gave up for some time again.... I ported at least 6 recoveries from TWRP and CWM but non worked and the f*cking system of the Leagoo t10 has a failsafe witch automaticky recovers the factory recovery on any standard boot... You should look some time on that need ROMs website because if someone ports a functioning recovery on the t10 that is most probably the first place to be available... If you would have a custom recovery installed rooting would be no problem... Good luck with your new phone... I at least take it the way that I learned more about Android and the ways around it in three months than I have in that last three years thanks to Mediathek...
So I got a version of TWRP working only when you use fastboot to boot to it, the screen is frozen if you try to flash it.
Link here
command is fastboot boot <imgname>
You can root from there, not done much else but playing with it just now.
How did you managed to Port it? I tried at least 3 TWRPs from other mt6797 devices (and modified them trough image kitchen) but none worked... I also tried once to boot to one trough fastboot but that also didn't work... And you said you rooted it with that TWRP but woul it be possible to do MAGISK root this way? Because T10 has only Android 6.0 now and basic root would do the update (when it comes out) harder...
Thanks.
It took me a few hours but I got the LG K10 TWRP to work with it, not sure about MAGISK as I said I only just got it working. I see this device is discontinued now too so unlikely to see much more than this I think.
Thanks... If you got something else working please write about it because it's really hard to find anything useful about this device... And thank you again for the root advice, I will do it as soon as I have some time.
The root worked... With the TWRP from alpha232 I was able to install supersu 2.82 (trough "fastboot boot <image name>" to TWRP and install the zip from there) and my Leagoo T10 is now rooted... (Thanks Alpha232). If someone finds out a way to port TWRP for T10 I woul welcome it if he would share the way how to do it... I woul be also glad if someone could tell me how to go around the failsafe which restores the factory recovery on normal boot for this device.

For some reason no need to oem unlock (bootloader not locked properly??) so have twrp without needing to wipe data, but now remains the encryption problem as this trwp doesn't support it, I have compiled twrp for mtk in the past with encryption support but doubt I can recall what needed to be done
TWRP not working
When I install the TWRP recovery and start the phone with this mode to install the two files
1) no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1
2) SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822
the phone does not see them and it is impossible to proceed further.
Furthermore, the operating system does not even start, so the original firmware must be replaced with the flash tool.
Has anyone found a solution to this inconvenience?
Thank you

1. Userdata is encrypted, and the TWRP here isn't compiled to be able to decrypt it. So you'll need an sdcard with those zips on it
2. The os won't start if it deems its been altered - that's partly what zip 1 is for.
Is there any custom roms for Ulefone Mix?

No custom ROMs - I think there is a clone device [Panasonic Eluga C] so we have another stock ROM from them.
I haven't attempted porting anything yet, let alone building anything from source [a source built twrp should be trivial] - i've lost yet another hard-drive recently so light on diskspace & sdcards so not able to do much atm.
For completeness: stock ROM > http://ulefone.com/download/mix.html [newer than the one on needrom]
OTA > http://hwfotadown.mayitek.com/ota/r...NE_N_V0.6.9.1_S1712221514261911507/update.zip
Is this root method working?
Stock rom is located here Stock Ulefone Mix 4G Rom
when (android 8) Oreo for ulefone mix?
twrp and now?
Hello,
i have an old ulefone mix mt6750t with the screen damaged but still 90% working, i thought i would use it on android auto but i needed rooting.
So I informed myself a bit, go unlocked developer mode and usb, downloaded adb and twrp and magisk etc ...
I unlocked the bootloader from the settings then used adb and installed twrp which starts but asks me for the pass to decrypt, then I swipe and delete the encrypted data.
Then with adb sideload I install magisk 20 and check opt encript, but the phone always goes to twrp, it does not restart ... mmm and the orange mode message comes out but it should be normal ... someone knows how to go on to restart it normally and not with twrp?
Thank you

[Guide]Alcatel Idol 5 6060C Bootloader Unlock and TWRP[/Guide]

New From A-TEAM: lehmancurtis147
ALCATEL IDOL 5 : 6060CACCESS FASTBOOT
UNLOCK BOOTLOADER
INSTALL TWRP
Special thanks to the mVirus Team for the reboot tool.
Ok, here we go!!!
Start fastboot:
1.*Unpack and launch the boot mode tool.
2.*Power off your 6060C.
3.*While holding vol- plug in device to PC.
4.*While continuing to hold vol- press power until the device starts and release power (not vol-).
5.*Once you see fastboot at the bottom of the device you can release vol-.
Unlock Bootloader:
Now that you are in fastboot mode, we need to unlock the bootloader.
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
Install Custom Recovery:
I forgot to mention I also built a working TWRP.img for this device.
1.*Unzip the recovery.zip.
2.*To install it.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
3.*then...
Code:
fastboot oem reboot-recovery
4.*Welcome to team win recovery!
DOWNLOADS:
This is the boot-mode tool:

twrp link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1teI23ASm2IbIy_r4xV0jlzz_TzS3cvTc/view?usp=sharing
NOTE:
Unless you remove verity (and a handful of other annonyances) you will loose twrp. Luckily, I've already built a replacement system.img to solve this. Once its working right I'll share it.
I have the system image working, but it's huge. Probably why system and vendor were split in android 8. It's a 4.6 gigabyte image so as soon as I decide the best way to host it I will post it.
In the mean time, the way to keep updated is our telegram group.

!!!ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
New Recovery Options Available
I now have managed to build a fully functional Pitch Black Recovery Image and and Orange Fox Recovery Image (the later is built from mostly 9.0 branch) and will be making them available soon if I see that anyone is actually interested.
The recovery image files are compiled from source and not a Frankenstein type. So I can address any recovery issues (within the scope of reason).
Thanks for the thread!! I don't have this device but to my amazement, this utility booted my Alcatel 3t 8 tablet into fastboot mode and I was bootloader unlocked in seconds! I can't thank you enough. This tool should be shared around. It may just be the key to unlocking the bootloader on a plethora of 2018+ MTK devices.

Hi mickeybeats, I happen to have the Alcatel 3t 8 as well! I've been looking for a copy of the stock ROM/firmware everywhere and I'm unable to find it. Is it possible that you have a copy/know where I could download it? My tablet starting throwing up the feared "System UI has stopped" error and it seems reflashing stock ROM is the only way to fix it
I can confirm that the bootloader thing works for the 6058D model (MTK 6753)
For stock ROMs on Alcatel mtk devices, you need Sugar-mtk from Alcatel. It goes through the reflash process and as a bonus you can grab the firmware file from inside the flash tools program folders. The files don't use human readable formatting for the names but they end in either .bin or .mbn. A once over with a hexeditor should be enough to get a general idea of what they are. All the ones I've delt with had the boot.img label with a b at the beginning of the name and r for recovery, but gets a bit scattered from there.

Post your boot.img if you don't already have a custom recovery and I will build one for yours.

I did make one, thank you though. If anyone's interested, here it is:
Idol 5 6058D TWRP
So, I recently revisited this phone and saw that there was a new exploit to access the bootloader. I tried it and it worked. After some time of trial and error, I was able to dump the stock recovery. With this, I started to port TWRP to it. This...

Good to hear.
Hi all!
Is there anything similar to 'boot-mode too'l for Linux machines?
What would be a proper command-foo for this task?
The usual method with adb/fastboot obviously doesn't work with
Alcatel IDOL 5 (6058D/MT6753).
To install TWRP on Alcatel Idol 5, you first need to unlock the bootloader. The process is a bit more involved for this device than it is on most others.

I don't know if it will work with wine. But you should be able to run it from a VM.
Don't be a idiot like me and accidently flash the recovery image on the Alcatel 3T 8. it will permanently brick the device and sugar-mtk will not restore .
