Would you recommend this phone? - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, all, I am new to this section.
I am wondering if you would recommend this phone. I just shattered my S3 LTE today and am painfully suffering on an old iPhone 3GS until a replacement.
I am planning to switch to a budget phone, and I want to know your opinions on this model. I have heard good things about the Moto G line.
I would like to know a few things about this phone before I buy it. Because I am very nervous.
First of all, would you recommend this phone?
Battery life. I always had issues with battery life on my S3 even with an extended battery. I am a heavy user.
Performance. Looking at the specs, it seems that performance wise, it is better than my S3, but would it be good for what I do which is mostly 2D games and web browsing?
Speakers. They good? I know they have the dual speakers in the front, meaning no more hand-cupping and stereo sound, but what about volume/quality?
Any quirks I should know about? I seem to remember at least one of the models lacking a gyroscope.
From the looks of it, ROM development is very active, so that isn't an issue.
I don't really use the camera, but what is it like?
Is it worth it to get the 16GB? I have a good 64GB SD card.
For refs, here is the S3 specs:
4.8" AMOLED
Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 - Dual-core 1.51GHz
1.5GB RAM (Seemed to barely squeak by on CM13)
16GB storage (I will be willing to give this up if I have to for price's sake).
400MHz Adreno 225 GPU
With an extended 4400mAh battery (might be worn out, though), I can sometimes run out halfway through the day. Depends on the screen brightness.
8MP Rear facing camera w/flash, 1.5MP front facing camera. I rarely used this.
Thanks for understanding. Because I really want to know what people think before I invest. I'm broke and I don't want to be stuck with something I won't like.
And this is opinion, I won't judge.

First of all I would not recommend at all, because at same budget you can get more featured phone like fingerprint scanner, full HD display with large screen with more battery and power full processor but this is IPS LCD with screen being little dull and old processor.
As for as battery, on stock rom you will get maximum of 4 hours 30 minutes screen on time with LTE active web browsing but in if you use custom rom like RR, CM or Turbo you will get 5.30 to 6 hrs sot.
For games I can't say anything about that.
Speakers are not good for listening music, I still don't know if it is having dual speakers or not ! Audio quality little bit low or maybe it depends on network problems.
Next about gyroscope yes it is not available for this model.
As for rom development it's one of the active device for rom and kernels tweaks.
Camera department is, 13 MP doesn't look like same as Samsung's 13 MP but it's ok and front camera is good for 5 MP it clicks quality images.
As for storage is concerned 16 GB is better because in 8 GB you will get only 3.8 GB space.

Thank you for your help! While I don't need 1080p or a fingerprint scanner, the battery life kinda helped my decision.

battery is good, camera is ok, price is best, rooting is easy, roms are raining, thumb up

Thanks, @dangerhouse.
@aadison Looking things up, are you talking about the Moto G4+? I am not sure I want to get a G4 or a G4+ because trying to find a used one is improbable.

No, I'm talking about Redmi note 3 SD.

you are in Moto G 2015 Forum, same as Moto G 3

I know where I am, but thank you anyway.
Just because I mentioned another model doesn't necessarily mean that I am lost.

http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_readying_720p_jb_m4_and_budget_ics_g2_for_spring-news-5462.php
4.3" 720P
2GB ram
1.2G S4 CPU(lol?)
16GB rom(still...)
13M cam f/2.0(same as M7)
720p front cam
LTE
1700mAH battery
Sense 5.0 on JB4.2
The CPU is same as One SV(down-clocked S4) but I doubt it very much because it would not make any existing One S customer to upgrade. So, I think the CPU should at least stay the same with One S(1.5G) or little faster(like 1.7G).
I think the LCD should change to SLCD2 this time instead of AMOLED Plus like One SV(4.3" SLCD2). I actually quite like AMOLED on phone because of perfect black but SLCD2(IPS) has better viewing experiences under sunlight which is more important to me. At the end, I don't care if it's still AMOLED or IPS, they both have pros and cons.
I have a high chance to get M4 because I don't want any size larger than 4.3". However, my One S is still lovely and used only 8 months.

I may wait Sony and see, they are also going to out 4.0" ~ 4.3" 720P LTE with ExmorRS, Qualcomm MSM8960T Dual 1.7GHz with Adreno 320 GPU(I think M4 will use 8960T). Model name: C5302, C5303, C5306 (Code name:HuaShan).

Well I actually lover the cpu choice. Everything runs smooth on this cpu, and with a less heavy skinned Jb (sense 5) this will only improve. Every singel game runs brilliant. I don't think you will notice its downclocked on sense 5 and will bring a lot better battery life I gues.
The display in the one S is great. But when I hold it next to the One X or the SGIII or even the xperia T it really looks dreadfull. The colors and brightness seems fine but compared to these crisp screens it really falls out of the boat.
I'm wondering what the impact will be of a higher res lcd display on the 1.2ghz S4 though.
There are some Sony alternatives. Something I really like about those phones is the waterproof ones. But than again the Sony skin on these phones are just lame. All that grey bled stuff makes it really boring (and ugly), a funeral looks more cheerfull than that.
As I'm looking to replace my One S in march, my preference will still be the Xiaom MI-2.

And I cant edit my post because my post is to short (less than 2 characters) which its obviously not... So umh.. Yes the S4 Pro quad core is a lot more powerful without sacrificing a lot of battery, but comes with a price tag. And I think this phone will be launched as a sub-high-end alternative for the M7 (like the One S was with the one X).

You can trick the Power Saving on in JB, it will limit both cores to 1134mhz max on One S to save battery.
yup, I spoke many times in this broad 720P is a lot better(I was own a Xperia S and that is only a suck TFT mon, not IPS). QHD resolution is really not enough for text reading though. 720P does drains more cpu power over QHD because more pixels to render on screen so it's questionable to make cpu slower while the device actually needs more cpu.
All 1080P devices go with quad-core because they need even more cpu power to render extra pixels. 8960T is just a dual core ver of 1.7G S4 but with a upgraded GPU(Adreno 320).
HTC is really slipping. Three is nothing good about this device. The one thing I hated most about this phone is the terrible memory and HTC made the same mistake again... Better off with the Samsung galaxy s4 or the next nexus device. I strongly recommend skipping any HTC device for a long time.
This is NOT an upgrade to the One S, it's a sad excuse.

Everyone has right on his own opinion, but I completely disagree with you with everything you just said.
I actually LOVE this device! the only thing i would change was the display. It shows quality all around. Incredible sound quality for both headphone and speaker, a slick (aluminum) design, great performance (was the best of its time) and a really really great camera. And although you can't fully unlock it and they released only a partial sourcecode doesn't mean its instantly trash.
Every single thing on the M4 is an upgrade for the One S, besides the CPU. And quite frankly I really don't see the use for a quadcore in a 4.3 inch phone with android 4.2. As the one S proved JB is buttery smooth on this chipset. Yes the IPS display will but its tax on the CPU, but with a lighter (and a lot lighter by the looks of the leaks) sense running on 4.2, I highly doubt you will notice it.
And yes I love the idea of the nexus serie and love the looks of stock android. But I never ever want it as a daily driver. It's just to formal and vannila for my taste. In the Gingerbread and ICS days i would have loved it because it was so much smoother than skinned phones. But JB brought a lot of chance in that, and the phone manufactures really stepped up there game with software development and drivers. Therefor a Nexus phone doesn't have any appeal for me AT ALL.

The specs looks quite ok... But wtf? 1.2Ghz cpu speed? WHY!? Ive downclocked my S to 1.2Ghz a few times to save battery, and the difference is very noticable in speed. The battery I save I lose right away when having to wait extra long for something to finish loading.

Since every other mid-range phone is running S4 1.5G now, I don't think HTC will use 1.2G on their 2013 new phone. Sony's up coming mid-range will use MSM8960T 1.7G dual, I think HTC will just follow Sony.

Hey, sorry to forget mention about Xiaom MI-2. We have many chances to use China smartphone/tablet here in Hong Kong. I've to say it depends on your usage.
They are general powerful on hardware and cheap at price because they cut the cost from software development. You have no chance to get a stock rom close to the HTC/Samsung/Sony level, don't even to think get as many updates as HTC. So, the performance totally depends by custom roms and flash rom is almost a necessary on China stuffs. I see Xiaom MI-2 got a dev broad on XDA now.
If you are going to use it with only some general apps and not a heavy usage user, the stock rom may works fine and China stuffs almost never come with google playstore and map and others google apps, you have to get root access and install them by yourself. Not sure about Xiaom MI-2.
AW: HTC M4(One S upgrade) finally leaked news!
I think apart from the weak cpu clockspeed(hopefully they will change to something like 1.5-1.7ghz), this phone is nice. But I think I am gonna keep my one S for this year and afterwards there will be new phones as well, so no need to buy one. One S is still just fine for everything.

Thanks for your insight. But I think the MI-2 is worth another look. It's roots in rom development (the famous MIUI rom's) which are so succesfull they started building phones there self. I actually love the software and see more future in than in sense or touchwiz UX. They have monthly updates which are based on the miui community and by the looks of the reviews and benchmarks the firmware seems very optimized (all most the speed of the nexus 4, better audio quality than most high end phones, and photo quality is on par with the iphone and sony/samsung devices).
Many people view this phone as another cheap china phone, but I think it deserves a lot more credit than that. There are reports Xiaomi will bring the MI-2 to the US market this year, and is getting a lot of support all round (did i mention Qualcomm is one of the biggest investors?).
I don't want to sounds like this is the best phone on the market or that I'm completely sure I'm going to get one, i just want to raise it out of the budget phone segment.
HTC One S is ok for the average joe but if you want to...
i have an un branded HTC ONE S, which has been good to me in terms of using custom roms/kernels without too much hassle.
rooting on the other hand was bit of a nightmare, but that was due to me not reading all that i could before i tried, which leads me to the pain in the a** S-ON and having to flash boot kernels/recoveries with ADB (which is no longer a problem with FLASH IMAGE GUI supporting our device)
also the16gb rom is a bit low...would like to have the ability to upgrade to 32
i really dont see too much of an upgrade for our device , the HTC One S is ok for the average joe but if you want to root and mess round with custom roms and kernels, choose another device to upgrade to
This is so annoying. Still using 16 GB of internal memory, and now with 13mp camera (useless) so we can only fit 10 pictures.
Also, I guarantee this is gonna be S4 Plus (not Pro) and therefore it will have the Adreno 305 GPU. The old S4 Plus which the One S has, contains an Adreno 225, which is actually a lot faster than the 305.
So take a slower GPU and pair it with a 720p screen (instead of our 540p), take away some CPU performance as well, and what do you get?
And a 13 mp camera, seriously, I thought the "megapixel race" ended ages ago. How many people actually print out billboards from pictures taken on your phone? Just focus on lens quality and aperture, leave the megapixels at 8. Hell, even 5 is more than enough, I never take pictures at more than 2 mp myself.
HTC is digging its own grave.

Lol, bit of an exaggeration there.......
I have had over a 1000 photos (including lots of 1080P and slow motion footage) on my S and still had 5GB left. I don't store any music on my phone so 16GB is more than enough for me and is for many others, nexus 4 16 and 8GB models as well as iphones etc. sell well enough so the ones who want 32GB+ internal and/or a SD slot are in a small minority.
Also, we have no idea yet as to what the camera lens etc. is not to mention software/driver tweaks/optimisation, so how can you judge the camera when the phone specs etc. haven't even been confirmed
Regarding the M7 camera;
http://www.androidcentral.com/htc-m7-rumored-carry-43-ultrapixel-camera
So it could be the same for the M4, just the way the camera on the X and S are the same.
HTC obviously has got everything wrong if they expect people to NOT store music on a "beats" branded phone.

yup, both CPU/GPU will be slower than One S if it is real using the Qualcomm S4 Plus MSM8930 Dual 1.2G but I doubt that because it will happen the case on One S(S3) again, a great smartphone with slower cpu and terrible sales result.
The M7/M4 will both likely using the technology similar to Foveon X3 RGB 3CMOS on DSLR. It means 3 x 4.3M CMOS combined together to output a 13M photo, you get perfect color and white balance reproduction this time. However, low light and high ISO might be even worse because three CMOS there to share the aperture now, the photo should be darker and more noises appear.
It is absolutely a killer to Nokia Pureview808 and the upcoming Nokia Lumia 950(WP8 with Pureview808) in summer but might not be on the same boat with original One X/S and Nokia 920 which targeted at low lighting environment. I'll see how M7/M4 to handle low light with this new 3CMOS because low light is more important to me.

Because often when one is in low light conditions and wants to take pictures, they don't usually have their hefty DSLR kit with them. People only carry that stuff around when it's planned. If you go out for some drinks in the evening and want to take some pictures, the One S works wonders, and hence I actually really appreciate its ability to take decent pics in those scenarios without a flash.
Looks like I'll either be skipping an upgrade this year and stick with the One S, or sadly move to a different brand. Unless the M4 turns out to be different.

I imagine the black M7 will be similar to the black m4. M4 looks quite curvy/ergonomic and a bit thick so it looks like it will feel comfortable/nice in the hand.
By the looks of it, the speakers are on the front of the M7 too Also I am glad that they aren't going any bigger than 4.7".

Hi,
I am using the XT-1033 variant and is very happy with the performance.
Pros :
The value for money factor is very high in this phone.
The 1GB RAM is enough for me and all the games and apps work smoothly.
The camera is good if there is good lighting . Otherwise, there is noise around the edges.
There are many good features in the camera, but it lacks Photosphere feature ( As there is no Gyroscope sensor )
Buy the 16GB version only as the firmware takes about 4 GB of space.
It's Splash resistant, but not water proof.
Gorilla Glass 3 display - Scratchproof.
High display density - Gives a sharper picture than the iPhone 5s.
Cons :
The charging time is high. I have to leave it overnight to get a full charge .
There is slight heating if you use it while charging with WiFi or mobile data.
The WiFi signal strength is low. Where I get 4 Bars on my Windows 8 Laptop , I only get 1 Bar on my phone.
But this phone has features like Gorilla Glass and Nano Coating that even the 20k Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 doesn't have.
The only low point is the 5MP camera while the SGG2 have an 8MP one. But that can be neglected as the photos are of good quality and the phone has many other features.
Charging time depends on charger. 5V and 1-1.5 A give you a full charge in 2-3 h
Wi-fi signal is good for me. I have never seen there is a signal lost or something else compare with my tablet.

Doogee Turbo 2 DG900 Hands on review

Doogee has increasingly improved their products to their customers. Since Doogee DG580, Doogee will release Doogee DG900 and Doogee DG850. I am lucky to get a sample now. And i am glad to share with you. First, i will test Doogee DG900 with you. Because i really like this smartphone with high-end performance.
Exquisite 5inch FHD IPS Corning Gorillia Glass 3 Touch Screen
Doogee Turbo 2 DG900 has updated overally compared with other models, this time, it has 5inch FHD IPS screen with 1920*1080pixels screen resolutions. It is euipped with third generation Gorilla glass touch screen, which can help me prevent scratching. When i open the movie like "The flash", the definition is really high, and screen color is very vivid and real. It's worthwhile to have a try.
Powerful MTK6592 Octa Core 1.7GHz Processor
CPU is quite important for me to play 3D games, when i play Temple Run, the speed is quite swift. Due to MTK6592 Octa core 1.7ghz processor, the overall performance has been improved largely. Couple RAM 2GB ROM 16GB, it has added the speed of the smartphone to search the Internet, play games, watch videos or download any apps and so on. You got know how influential the real tech affect us.
18.0 MP Rear Camera 8.0 MP Front Camera
About the smartphone dual camera, it supports 18MP rear camera and 8mp front camera, as is known to all, most majority of smartphones has the main camera is up to 13.0MP, instead of 18.0MP, however, Doogee DG900 has 18.0mp back camera to shoot the real and ultra-clear pictures to record the unforgettable memory of our life. And 8MP front camera is also incredible to auto shoot for me. I can also beautify the myself by this smartphone.
Rear touch panel, making me do the apps easier
With the rear touch panel, i can now as easy as single handed double tap on back, giving me more freedom to use my hands.
Support 3G, GPS, WIFI, Bluetooth, Multilanguage, Play Store, etc.
Morever, of course it can support 3G and dual sim card, dual standby, which means i can use a 3G network by inserting 3G sim card, the other 2g network by inserting GSM sim card. This smartphone also supports Multilanguage, i can set up it in my mother tongue, which provides the much convenience without language barrier. Google Play store is installed in this smartphone, i can download more than 700,000 apps to perfect my needs. It is built in 2500mAh battery, which can support long working time for me. As for the standby time, it depends on the specific enviorment.
In conclusion, Doogee DG900 is the latest 5inch fhd octa core smartphone with RAM 2GB ROM 16GB. The trendy looks, hardware, functions and so on has increased me to not put it down.
Isn't doogee dg900 a crap?

Do you really think mt6592 can work smoothly on 1080p display? MT6592 can only work smoothly on 720p display and all slim glassphone heats up fast. You may say you just like the glass design, but can you really endure the TINY battery life? If you want to buy a good looking phone at $200 budget you can buy umi zero, even it's also a crap, but it got AMOLED display, SONY IMX135 and METAL design!
I'm looking for good real user reviews. Sound like spam the whole of it like you're selling it.
Spec wise it sounds great but we all know Chinese phones are mostly poor despite specs. However some companies are pulling their fingers out and making good solid devices. I like the look of this as I said so if anyone has one, can you please do a real review with the pros and cons.
Thanks

Not a review, but just a few points...
After my Samsung Note died (finally I am so happy), I bought 2 of these off Alliexpress, I for myself and 1 for my wife 2 weeks later. That was back in November/December of 2014. So we have had 6 months of daily use out of these.
The bad:
1. Started giving errors about no sd card and no sim card inserted. Used some sticky tape on the back of the sim and sd card to keep them in place and slightly increase the thickness. No issues since.
2. On a hot day using navigation (Google maps) and charging the battery, the phone will warn of a thermal shut down while sitting on the dashboard. I guess this is partly due to the protective case not allowing any heat to escape. Th next case will b a more open design.
3. One of the orientation sensors is not right. Google Sky maps gets disorientated when you view op. Down works.
4. Need for Speed crashes. (all other apps I've installed, over 130, works)
The good:
In short, everything else!
1. The 18MP Sony camera is fantastic, even in low light. The Samsung Note camera would not even take a picture in where the Doogee still takes good pictures in low light.
2. It's thin and light.
3. The colors are not as vibrant on the Doogee as on the Note, but the resolutions is exceptional at 443 ppi. Clear and a very good reading angle.
4. On low usage, it will last easily 2 days between battery charges. Where the Note would be dead by 5 PM on a busy day, the Doogee will still have 40% battery life at 9PM . I manage to drain it once by 9PM on the same day. Where on the Note, I had nothing running in the background and did my best to conserve the battery, I have every bit of eye candy installed on the Doogee, from live backgrounds to anything that sucks juice.
5. The Note was sluggish point. With Google Maps running, it was incapable of doing anything else... With the Doogee, I have never see it slow down, ever. Even with Google Maps and Open Street maps both running and navigating at the same time while watching a HD video clip. 8 cores wins every time!
6. The phone comes pre-installed with a screen protector, and there is an envelope with a few spares. After 6 months, the original screen protector is still clear.
7. The sound volume is much louder than the Samsung. You can actually hear the speaker phone even when there is a lot of noise.
8. Has more app storage space than the Note. Always had the Note complaining about storage. Never on the Dogge with more apps and more data installed.
9. Received 3 OS updates from Samsung in the 1st year. Received 3 OS updates from Doogee in the 1st 4 months!
10. The fast charger will charge it from flat to 100% in less than 2 hours!
The phone stays responsive, no matter what you do.
Will I buy another Doogee product, sure, any day.
Hope this help somebody....

Got this octa core beast really looks like iPhone6-Cubot X9

I got this amazing phone days ago from some Chinese seller. Not a famous one, called.Cubot X9 But it looks pretty like iPhone6. Ok, i will just show you the phone first. And the full sepcs are also listed below for your reference.
Band GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
WCDMA 3G 850/2100MHz
Sim Card Dual SIM Card Dual Standby(One Micro SIM Card)
Service Provide Unlocked
OS:Android 4.4 kitkat OS
CPU:MTK6592M Octa core processor, 1.4GHz Processor
ROM 16GB
RAM 2GB
Display Size 5.0 Inch
Type IPS ,HD Capacitive Touch Screen
Resolution 1280 x 720 pixels HD screen
Camera/Picture Resolution Back 13.0 MP, Back 8.0 MP Front 5.0 MP, Interpolated 8MP
2200Mah batter
It has a full metal body which looks pretty fancy and the ultra-thin design makes the phones is only 6.9mm. See? So much exquisite. I've chosen the gold version, thought it would be more classic and stylish.
Apart from the exterior, Cubot X9 also provides excellent specs. It has a 5.0inch HD screen and the touch panel works pretty well. Powered by octa core processor and 2GB RAM, the phone runs really fast as you can imagine. And the operating system-Android4.4 which has a simple UI looks pure and clean. The 2GB RAM really surprised me at the price.
The webstore said the cameras are 5.0MP front camera(interpolated 8.0MP)+8.0MP rear camera(interpolated 13.0MP). I'm not sure what it exactly means. But they basically satisfy my daily use. And the back camera did not leave a bump on the back. A little bit disappointed at the battery, 2200mAh. I thought i would ran out fast. But out of my suspect that the battery life is ok. I had it then at $150 and it's been some time.
How have you been finding it so far, now that you've had it for a month? Gearbest has it on for $130 with free shipping right now, and the only thing keeping me from getting it is that 2200 mAh battery.
(Edited to add: this is probably a shill post, now that I re-read it... But that's ok - anybody else have any experience with it?).

I must agree with Mr. Wetty, i just bought one five days ago, and the phone is blazing fast with no lag what so ever. decent camera for this budget and i was extremely impressed with video recording. the sound is pretty much ok.
the only problem that i have is that battery is draining like i have never seen before, even in idile mode,
Last night around 11 P:M i went to sleep with 86% wirless off, location off, 3G off, to tell the truth i think i set all off, and woke up this morning with 17 %..
i will try to collect some screrenshots(stil,l dont know how to do them on cubot X9) and will try to post new thread. something is eating battery all the time at least the model that i got. except from that the thing is great. i tryed to surf web to see if anyone else had a same stuff and sadly i found only one hungary forum where some of the people reported a same issue ( thankfully the chrome translate do the job)

I wasn't overly impressed with the camera at all, at least not in low light. Some of those battery saving apps (like Deep Sleep Battery Saver) seem to work well for preserving battery life, though.
Oh, and for screenshots... I believe three-finger-swipes work for screen captures.

I agree with you concerning the camera, for me the pictures turn green except for 2 mp size and less but when i set the size to 3 mp and above the pictures turn green, or when i zoom in i get the same problem. the quality is not really good, the clors are very bad. currently I am using the app "a better camera" to raise the quality of the pictures to 8 mp the maximum.
in addition to three fingers yo can press the -volume botton and the power button simultaneously.
please help if there is any solution for the camera issue be it an app or whatever :good:

[Q] Your Impression after use LG G Pro 2

Hi guys,
i want to ask you, how about your impression after using LG G Pro 2 ex: after a month
Any issue or problem after use LG G Pro 2?i want to buy this phone, but i confused because the information about this phone is not very lack, not like LG G3. So maybe you guys can help give your opinion.
Thanks a lot
I came from a white G2 and have had my white g pro 2 for about 3 months and i love it, if you dont mind the size..
Its camera is awesome like the g2's (same as the g2's just faster focusing and better ois and 4k if you need it) The g pro 2 has a much more powerful speaker (though i do like the G2's placement better when flat on a desk)
Basically its just a bigger G2!
-Few more things to add
the g2 has a brighter notification led
the g2 has 10x more developer support
the g pro 2 screen is very slightly less saturated than g2's but has slightly better viewing angles
the g pro 2 comes stock with multi-window
the g pro 2 has SD card slot and removable battery
The funny thing is im thinking of going back to a white g2 because:
better notification led
more manageable size
developer support
better speaker placement for notifications on desk, but much worse quality for music etc
Ive looked at getting the G3 but i like the look of white phones, especially on the front surrounding the screen and the g3 doesn't really have white bezels, also the quad hd screen is overkill and makes SD801 struggle, this is why i actually prefer the look & performance of the G2..
It is a pretty decent phone. Size is manageable, depending on individual's requirements. It is fast and smooth. Standby time is pretty good. I get consistently +/- 5 hours screen on time with a single charge. I wish I can have more, but the screen of FHD is sucking lots of juices.
Rooting is easy.
Chances are high that we are getting the lollipop update. Keeping our fingers crossed.
Bought it recently and fully satisfied by this beast.
Camera is better than my old G2, Screen quality is also better but battery timing is the area where g2 beats it. If its size doesn't bother you, then its hell of a phone for you.

After, I read your review. Basically, LG G Pro 2 is a good smartphone. Many improvement in LG G Pro 2 from G2. I have thought to buy G3 too, but many opinion said that the battery not quite good and like you said that quad hd screen make SD801 struggle. Maybe, i will think it again to choose. any issue after you use lg g pro 2 after 3 months? Thanks for your review, leonclement

After i read the review from three of you, it seem lg g pro 2 is a good phone, people are satisfied after use this phone. althought it will compare to g2. hehe
For battery, maybe g2 is the best.
Thanks for your review,AamirXtreme
I bought this phone 5 months ago, and it was money well spent. Not a single moment of regret since i have this phone. Of course there are still pros and cons, which i will try to list.
Pros:
1. Excellent processor. I have never feel any excruciating lag from using this phone. Even after i play heavy games like modern combat, the phone doesnt show much lag
2. Ample RAM. This phone is quite future proof because it gives 3gb of RAM, thats why i love multitasking with this phone using LG's own windowed app
3.Excellent camera. This phone has a great camera. It can compete with the likes of g3, s5, even z3 and 6plus.
4. Screen size. I love watching hd movies on the go on this phone, the pictures are clear, the colors are spot on.
5. Big battery. From the time i wake up at 6 am, till i sleep at 11 pm, this phone usually still have >15% battery after a whole day of chatting plus 3d gaming and g+.
Cons:
1. Outdated processor by todays standard. Dont get me wrong though, this is still a very potent processor for all your need.
2. Large size. Its not that big for me, i can still use it 1 handed normally, but if you have small.hands, it might give you trouble, even though it has one handed mode.
3. Macro shot coulb be better. This is the only flaw i see from the camera
4. Less support in xda than other lg phones.
Hope this helps you decide, because IMO, you wont regret using this beast.
Absolutely agree with pros. Not deal breakers to me the cons.
Best device I've ever buyed until now.
Best phablet ever !!!
