Hi all!
Time has come for Lollipops flavours for our old, but still alive device: Huawei Honor -u8860.
Thanks to @Blefish, we have now a new device tree and kernel 3.4
it tooked a lot of work and time to that talented dev to get us a rebirth of our device, named: LegacyHuawei.
How to install Lollipop rom on u8860: all needed files (recovery, blepart1.1 (lvm script) , gapps and cm12 rom ---> http://sourceforge.net/p/legacyhuawei/wiki/Installation/
Installation instructions located in Wiki. Don't forget to read it as you need to install latest TWRP before installing this ROM.
If you decide to uninstall this ROM (install cm11 or others without LVM support), keep in mind that if you installed LVM setup, you need to uninstall it or your phone will end up in a bootloop. If you have any issues please Provide logcat: http://sourceforge.net/p/legacyhuawei/wiki/Submitting logs/
Logcat can be provided with syslog app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...l.syslog&hl=en
direct download of syslog apk : https://github.com/Tortel/SysLog/SysLog.apk/qr_code
B919 stock rom base http://www.mediafire.com/download/z136402ocabf4t6/4.0.3+b919.rar
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1591997
I strongly advice people to backup their imei
If you are set with cm12, then, you will be good to go with all the others Lollipop flavours ( roms ) i can propose.
All the roms i will provide have device tree source here: https://github.com/Blefish?tab=repositories
and the kernel source i use is here: https://github.com/desteam/android_kernel_huawei_msm7x30
which difference between Blefish kernel and mine? : i updated Blefish kernel which is 3.4.0 to 3.4.106.
there is a Q&A thread to keep the thread clean and also for new user who are not allowed to post
But for now let's begin with :

Right, there is no small update file, but there is a fresh U8860-ROM from 02-15-2015. Maybe that helps...
If you need U8800pro feedback send me a pm. I'll test asap.

I've just tested USB-Host mode on U8860, and it really works!!! Official Huawei specifications says that our chip does not support USB-Host, but IT DOES!!! Wow!!!
Tested mouse and keyboard... Mouse lags a little bit because our device is slow sometimes...
And also flash drives, even NTFS-formatted flash drives work...
The constraint seems to be that USB port can only output 200mA, and charging is impossible in USB host mode, so you should not forget to disable Host mode after using it... The option is in the special HuaweiSettings app...
I'm using cm-12-20150215-UNOFFICIAL-LegacyHuawei-u8860
Liquid Smooth on op
compiled with linaro 4.10 experimental and O3 optimisation.
please give feed back

Hello again - I found you!
When testing blefish's builds of CM12 for our device, I had continous wifi errors, which made the ROM unuseable for me.
So I gave your BlissPop a try. Thankfully, I did!
The wifi issues seem to be gone, I still have problems with sensors in my device, but they don't disturb me that much...
Looking foreward to flash new builds.

Meisie Kernel for the Galaxy Note 4 N910U
Disclaimer:
This can brick devices, damage devices, made only for the N910U, may cause global warming and potential IBS. Flashing this kernel is at your own risk and may make you cry.
Meisie kernel is my first published dev effort, and is just a personal development project. No additional features are planned at this stage, and root is not included.
Features:
Built from stock Samsung Lollipop SEA source
Compiled using optimized toolchains
Permissive SELinux
Interactive governer by default
In early development. Seems stable so far!
For the N910U only
Changelog 24/05/2015:
Merged BOD4 kernel source
Made changes to the Interactive governor's frequency selection
Added FIOPS I/O scheduler
Made FIOPS default
Added A53 + A57 power coefficient adjustment
Added basic voltage control framework
Adjusted voltages on A53 + A57
Download Meisie Kernel 0.92: Mediafire
Changelog 18/05/2015:
Version 0.9
Introduced arbitrary versioning for tracking
Used source BOC4 Boot IMG for update ZIP (NOT BOC4 Kernel, waiting on source still!)
Increased A57 core max to 2.1GHz
Decreased A57 core min to 500MHz
Increased A53 core max to 1.5GHz
Had a Gin
Decreased A53 core min to 200MHz
Added unaligned access ARM speedup to LZO
Added missing 100MHz value for pll_g3d_rate_table
Fixed a few more compile errors
Got a bit better at Gitting?
Adjustments to MakeFile
Fed Meisie dinner
Stopped compiling with Linaro for now
Changed download host to be more Taiwan friendly
Download Meisie Kernel 0.9: Mediafire
Install using TWRP or CWM to flash the ZIP
Credit and thanks to UpInTheAir, Halaszk, Wanam and AndreiLux for their incredible work on the Exynos5433 platform.
Special thanks to Jo for being super patient while I stare at the screen!

Hopefully get some audio tweaks on this kernel <3 great job

Looking very nice mate, hope to see more tweaks, we have a beast of Exynos and with this new kernel could possibly get the most out of it, is there any key reason on why you compiled it with Linaro and not with Uber?.

I really cringe at the thought of even dignifying that with a response. Read the original post to avoid looking like a fool again.
Flashed it earlier today. The Kernel feels really good on Sweet ROM V10. I'm getting good battery on it (left my Note 4 alone for around 8 hours and came back with just 15% battery drain -- and that's with all these email accounts and so forth polling in the background) and it feels smooth the way V11 felt smooth to me.
I like Kernels and ROMs that Devs put together for themselves. They're usually pretty reliable as daily drivers. Great job!
Well , i run dr ketan rom and i leave my cell ag 100% for 5-6 hours and when I wake up is still at 100% ! Im happy with that

While the Dev's certainly free to do whatever he pleases, I hope he continues refining his U kernel
I think it's in poor taste to hijack someone's thread to ask for unrelated assistance -- DM'ing the Dev would have sufficed. The amount of effort would've been the same. By doing it publicly, you aren't really asking for help; you're asking for attention.
This is similar to that time a few people started spamming the Exynos threads asking for donations to a specific Note 4 CM12 project so that the Dev could buy a Note 4 and develop CM12 for ONE variant -- without ANY assurance whatsoever that it would be released for other variants. As we've all seen, there are enough differences between the variants that successfully developing for one doesn't mean being able to release a build that works with another.
In terms of levels -- this is just one rung above asking whether this kernel works on 910H or 910C. Not good form.
My main attention is the N910U as it's the device I own Time depending, I'm going to investigate sound mods and may offer a couple of versions based off of Linaro and UBER (when im more familiar with it). No ETAs

CKEH9Made for the Huawei Honor 9 based on EMUI9 sources
I began this project because i wanted to bring the joy i felt from having JBolho's work on my Honor 9 with EMUI 8, and since he no longer owns the Honor 9, i wanted to bring some joy for those who appreciated his work, since my work is basically me cherry-picking some of his work.
By saying this i'm not saying i'm an expert in the custom kernel world, it's the opposite, i'm a noob, curious enough to try my luck and see what i can achieve.
For me this part is not necessary to include because all of you who try to flash either custom kernel, custom ROM or any kind of modification, should be aware of the risk and take full responsibility for your actions. So, that being said, i'm not responsible for your actions, try this at your own risk and responsibility. Don't complain about bricks, or any other kind of problems you might have from flashing this kernel. Be aware that your warranty is voided after you unlock your bootloader, flash kernels, roms and others.
Features
- Advanced TCP Algorithms with "Westwood" Default
- Huawei's Analytics Engine disabled
- Swap and zram disabled
- Maple, SIOPlus and Zen additional I/O Schedulers
- GPU Scene Aware (set as default)
- Energy Aware Scheduling (EAS) with "Schedutil" CPU Governor, Schedutil set as default
- Reduced Kernel Wakelock Sources
Requirements
- Unlocked Bootloader
- Rooted EMUI 9

Instructions

Hello! please tell me! Will there be support IPTABLES, which is necessary for fixing TTL?
Great! Glad to see something new happening in development on my H9, this could make me update to Pie again, since the first time I tried it i felt Oreo was a lot more fluid with JBolho kernel than Pie with stock.

Support Group
Btw, "Support Group" is great...
(It's good that Frax3r is on TG, not here).
Anyone with common sense is welcome in telegram channel. You'll find stuff that are not in this forum and get help much faster. You also can help us keep development alive by testing and logging if you're tech savy enough.

Keep circlejerking yourself with all the alt accounts you have "Jan". I don't plan on helping people for things that are already answered 10s of times in this forum.

You do the same in the TG group . But you feel comfortable there because there's no one there to tell you that you're writing nonsense.

You know what I'm talking about, Mr. "Senior Developer" (your words ).
But I don't care, I'm done experimenting, I gave one phone to my granddaughter, and sold the other, so you can post whatever you want here (also your friend Frax3r).
Good night!

No, there's no one here who could hurt me...
There's simply no point in wasting any more time customizing Kirin659-devices.
And if someone wants to keep reinventing the bicycle, that's his problem .
P.S.: I'm not saying I won't help people if they're in trouble.
This ROM and patches can work on a Nova3?
Install treble app from playstore and send me a screenshot
I tested this LeaOS ROM on my P20 lite. Is it possible to pass Safetynet without root? In my case Safetynet fails on "CTS profile match". Can we change the CTS fingerprint without to use Magisk/Root?
