Since the launch of Xperia Z5 the device has this problem and Sony has not fixed.
When the device comes into direct contact with sunlight, the display colors is grayed out, totally changing the contrast!
It seems to be something purposeful to improve screen vision under the sunlight, but this is ridiculous. Anyone else with this problem?
Had it earlier on but after updates it's now manageable and not as bad

But it's a bug or what?
It was a bug in earlier firmwares when it was unbearable but I don't think now in latest firmware

The 3rd party apps on the Play Store are just not as good. And they don't affect the bottom navigation bar.

Guys, there are reported concerns that prolonged usage of this app will cause permanent damage to your screens. I'll wait for Krab's response - caution guys.

I dont have the details..but there must be possibilities since it has something to do with the color panels or such. Again, it didnt not came from me, i just read it somewhere..
One thing for sure, using another app like that will somehow cause battery drain.. its a background process that keeps on running whenever your screen is on. Imagine how much juice is being lost watching a movie, games, etc. - Just a logic of mine btw.
Its just that, Sony somehow gave us a headache for that tint issues. Hopefully they will have a solution for that if could be done via software updates. Other than that, Goodluck to those who got an item with yellowish tint screens. White Balance ported app for Z1 hopefully will be done by @krabappel2548 or other great devs and it will be fine I guess because the source came from Sony itself, to be modified to run on different devices..
Thank you.

the screen adjuster i used b4 is a very very light apps, barely noticeable when it's running. of course, theoretically, any apps running is the background will consume additional battery. but in practical, the battery consumed by this apps, i personally have not felt any noticeable drain.
as mentioned, this screen adjuster is just a temporary workaround. a white balance port will always be better. a permanent fic from sony will be even better (hopefully)

if you can get it working I will buy you a 6 pack to get a nice glow on lol
So after updating to MM i noticed that
1. I can't turn off the camera sound
2. When mobile data is activated I can't see the small H or E etc anymore.
Whats up with that?
Maybe just the cleaner design of the new os ?
Maybe they turned on the camera sound default because in some countries it is actually illegal to have the camera shutter sound off !

Nope pretty sure it doesn't have it I ain't seen it in the settings and its a kernel related issue I think anyway. If you use the latest beta version of the xperia launcher it has the dtts option

One day max here - between 5 or 7 hours when screen is up, and using Stamina mode , - 4g,bluethooth and gps. And apps usage - 6 % for ~16 hrs.
I hope a developer will pop out to enable this feature

Hi everyone i just noticed today that slow motion video in low light condition stutters a lot. Is anyone else experiencing the same please do report

Those are your light fixtures. Similar to recording LEDs with slowmotion, you will see them flicker on and off.
Your lights are turning on and off multiple times a second, you cannot see it.

This isn't a "problem" it's part of how light bulbs work, and how slow motion works. In your house, your lights flicker like that, just fast enough that we can't detect it with the human eye. Slow motion slows this down, which you can then see.

Yours isn't doing what theirs was. Theirs STUTTERS, literally loses frames, yours is doing what it's supposed too. Never losing frames. Just capturing the lights flicking on and off. Again, I know what I am talking about.

That is correct.
The video you linked is not losing/dropping frames.
If you want it not to flash, use incandescent bulbs. (They do not switch on and off repeatedly.)

My S8+ has stutter / lag on slow motion mode since upgrade to Oreo. It had too much OTA Upgrade but that has not been fixed.
Is there any idea?
Every time I turn off the cellular phone the brightness from manual back to automatic,is a defect or is this normal?
