its LCD with some new tech that makes saturation a bit high that mimics AMOLED
oh i see, neat! IMO it looks good
I really want a theme that just leaves the UI design alone, but changes all system/Honor backgrounds to black instead of white. Really really miss system-wide dark theme from Windows Phone.
Black green

nova, apus, apex is still better than asus launcher. btw asus lanucher doesent provide the datk/material theme...its just a launcher
Even though, its IPS, when there's a black background, on IPS pixels still work, on AMOLED they're off (to save battery)

Hi themers,
Is there a way to change the background color of Settings/Menu and other screens of the n1 from Black to any other single color?

If you use adw launcher it will let you configure your app drawer background color.

seems a lot of people do agree that a lot of Android users and sadly devs don't have a knack for design...
that's unfortunate :-(

Well here is my Nexus One theme, based on my iPhone theme.
Firstly let me make clear that I have taken inspiration from SimpText by UltraLinx. I loved the idea he had created, very simple and minimalistic, however on my Desire the icons were just too small to be useful for me. Very kindly, UltraLinx also provided the PSD file he based his icons on. From this I amended the colours, the font, the size, as well as some more font options.
The end result is as follows:

}
I can create more to your liking if requested
Currently there are 139 icons in 10 different colours below:
Black
Bright Red
Dark Red
Green
Light Blue
Orange
Pastel Blue
Pink
White
Yellow

Text icons aren't really my thing, but they do look great man.
Thanks for sharing.
EDIT:
I take that back. Tried your icons just for ****s and giggles and I actually like them. Think I'll keep them for a while. Thanks again...lol

dark red ones match perfect with my UPgrade theme. Love it.
GAlarm has a great background when the alarm is up. Sadly, it is not available. So I was wondering if anyone had any backgrounds they currently use as the backdrop for their alarm. My phone background is way too busy, and a black screen is so boring.
How about this one?

Shameless bumping I am a fan of phone backgrounds in general.
Are you more concerned with the image you fall asleep too, or the one you wake up too? If that makes sense...I realize it'll be that same pic, it's all about the mood, I guess.
I found a nice little app called "lightning bug" that is a nice sleep enhancement device,
Customizable backrounds, ambient sounds etc..

My images were 640x480. However, I did just find one of them on the following page and it has some higher resolutions:
http://www.androidcentral.com/android-wallpaper-ringtone-tutorial
What is the recommended resolution for a captivate wallpaper?
All Galaxy S/Captivate (others like Nexus 1/S, and more) should use 960x800 wallpapers for best results.

I've made an OpenGL Live wallpaper inspired by one of Google's static Eclair wallpapers. It's a series of fading lights that move smoothly across the screen and blend together.

You can change the light count and speed in the free and in the full the colour, framerate and turn off the extra effect.
It should work on every device that has 2.1+, even the older ones.
I actually love this. Has great potential. At first I didn't like the slight distortion, but it's actually easier on the eyes with foreground Widgets etc, and actually gives the screen a 3D effect this way.
May have to buy now!
Thanks and regards.
Wow! Really nice, I looked alot for a LWP like this.
Great job!

Digi Clock widget. Low battery usage with 4 switches built in so it's not just a pretty face.
Appearance is extremely customizable.

Unfortunately that's a Samsung Galaxy store pack; don't think it's compatible with anything else as is. Helps keep the pixel lifespan long, easy on the eyes.
Digi Clock is a long time favorite. One of the two widgets I have running.
Yeah, moto widgets are pretty damn good to this day. Especially the new material you themed ones...
