Uncalibrated Screen, please help - General Questions and Answers

I am using an mtk device, and flashed wrong boot.img and made my touchscreen uncalibrated both on android and TWRP, so i decided to use otg to flash stock boot.img, did that and rebooted and touchscreen was still uncalibrated, after that i formated System, data, dalvik and cache, and reinstalled stock rom. And touchscreen was still uncalibrated... Also tried flashing cm12.1+cmboot.img and didnt work either.
This device uses hardware keys, and the hardware navbar seems to have somehow go to the center of the screen (only responds there), and the bottom part of the screen responds on top part of the screen, and the top part of the screen is responding to botton part of the screen..
i have no idea of what to do now, please help me!
Device is eSmart H1 from Switel

[Q] Phone issues after flashing Gapps.zip

My friend has a Captivate. He lost all his google apps, android market, gmail, etc. He flashed gapps.zip from his recovery and now his phone is not working right. When he flashed a new rom to his phone, and it brought up the welcome screen it shows it for about 2 seconds and then reboots. He is also almost unable to access the recovery becuase of this, but even when he finally was able to access it and wipe everything, dalvik, cache, data/system, it still has issues. Nothing is fixing the issues from the gapps.zip. He was wondering if there is a way to wipe his entire phone from a update.zip file. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Please note that even when he wipes everything in recovery and flashes a new ROM, it still reboot on the welcome screen and he is unable to resolve this issue.
Ok, so he has now wiped all cache and system files, now instead of showing teh galaxy S logo with the cyanogen logo underneath, it shows just the AT&T screen, but it will not go any furhter, it just sits there. He says that because he is now unable toget into android he cannot access the recovery and the volume up/down is not responding. Is his phone Bricked?
Have you used Odin 1-click to revert back to stock?
had my friend use the Odin 1 click and he said it still did not work. He cannot get the volume up/down trick to work, when before all this it worked just fine. I am going to guess that the only thing he could try is the jig method. He swaers that Odin3 is not doing anything

Flashing *any* OS to Soft Bricked Nexus

Here are the cliff notes of what happened:
1) my screen turned off immediately after I entered the password.
2) I dismantled the phone and cleaned all relevant parts, thinking the hardware may be sending a double-click signal when I pressed the button once.
3) Help forums led me to believe the problem was a software malfunction with the front-facing camera: A sensor that interprets darkness to mean the phone was in a pocket and should have a dark screen.
4) I decided to factory reset the device to repair any outstanding software issues.
5) The factory device setup screen loaded... and the screen went dark and would not come back on.
6) I have managed to reach the boot loader. Now I am stuck; I cannot find a way to install a functioning OS.
Back information: A year ago I was running CM12. For the last six months I've been running Kali; I've had a persistant issue being unable to upgrade to Android 5.1 with Kali, so I intended to go back to CM (but 13 this time).
So presently: Factory resetting will not work because the screen goes dark before I finish the prompt. The Boot Loader is open. My computer recognizes the device but I cannot save anything to it (so I can't put a new ROM on it).
Does anyone have any suggestions for this?
If you're in the bootloader have you tired flashing a stock factory image with fastboot?

I did; and it worked, but when the setup screen loaded (the language selection page) the screen went dark and the phone became non-responsive.
Did you try cleaning around the proximity sensor by removing all of the components that are set against the screen?
Try installing the oldest factory image you can find on the Google site.

Touch not working

My touch screen suddenly stopped working. The weird thing is that touch is not working only on the lower part. Remaining part it is working perfectly fine. OS using Lineage Android 7.1.1
What this problem might be is this hardware or software problem?
I checked whether this is software error. But when I enter TWRP recovery as I said only lower part of touch not working. It has become incredibly difficult to wipe cache and dalvik cache even in the recovery the touch is not working
Any suggestions how to make it work

Sudden reboot of Z3 Stock, can't login and recovery to Stock doesn't fix it

Hey folks,
I just have a very weird issue with my Z3 Stock firmware : it was in my pocket and suddenly, started to reboot over and over for no apparent reason. So it was heating and the battery was quickly flat. Since then, I can't use it anymore : it startup correctly and once you can finally use the screen to unlock it, it's already "crashed" and several second later, it reboot (over and over ...).
Tried to recovery with the Sony Companion which worked and I could see change after that flash : there is now a "hello" as if it was fresh new, but no time to select anything and again, crashed and reboot.
I have no idea of why, anyone ?
I think the hardware is now defect, but as it start correctly (and flash to stock worked), I really don't understand.
I've seen a post where someone say that it's (could) be because of the gyroscope ... really ??
Help appreciated,
Thx
Hey, more information.
So I was able to flash stock firmware, android 5 or 6, both reboot loop. Each time, it seems to works (touch screen OK) then there is a text displayed and after that, freeze and reboot.
The Killin message, on android 5 or 6 stock rom :
FACTORY STARTUP SERVICE - Please wait for on-screen POWER OFF button
I've never seen that button on screen, reboot before. Any idea? Possibly due to hardware failure? Looks to works, but is not working, sad.
Thx

Weird issue with touch screen

I have an unlocked Google Pixel that has a touch screen issue when booted into system (stock Android 10), where nothing works when touching the screen.
However, when I boot into TWRP 3.5.2_9-0, the touchscreen works and I can tap on all the buttons and even can perform a slide to enable system modification.
Anyone encounter this issue before have any suggestion? I tried wiping and reflashing using the latest available factory image, however nothing works.
