OPO bluetooth connection problems after pressing "forget" on a bluetooth device
Hi,
I accidentally pressed forget on a paired bluetooth connection. Now I cannot reconnect to the device. I've deleted the cache and data from the Bluetooth share app, rebooted and got nothing. Oneplus is telling me I need to do a hard reset which is extremely annoying. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. My device is not rooted. Tthanks

Can you also remove your OPO from the other device? Reboot the other device, reset to factory if necessary. Try rename each device in its turn.
That worked really well. Thanks ever so much!

Hi Guys
Sorry if this is in the wrong area ... i think its correct?
I recently upgraded(?) to XP64 pro and ever since my Blueangel keeps connecting and disconnecting when plugged into its USB cradle.
I hear the "connect" beep and see it appear in Device Manager. I then hear the "Disconnect" beep after a random (usualy short) amount of time, maybe 2/3/4 seconds and its vanished from Device Manager. A couple of seconds later it will then reconnect again..... rinse, repeat
This was working fine before the XP 64 upgrade so I can only imagine its related to that and the hardware is all OK.
(if you need/want any more details from the phone then you will need to tell me how to get them )
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
ActiveSync works fine for me under xp64 so that's not the problem. I recall having the same problem with the BA and I think doing a hard reset on the phone and clearing out the partnership on the computer to force a new partnership did the trick. I don't recall going so far as to uninstall and reinstall ActiveSync.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I can try a reset on the phone of course, certainly won't hurt! Sadly though, I don't even have Active Sync installed yet so I can't really see how it will help.
Im just trying to see the phone as a USB storage device first :?
I always found my XDA2 would keep disconnecting & reconnecting if I tried to switch it off in the cradle. Now I just leave it on and hold down the power button to turn off the backlight.
Hi all,
Recently I got a problem with my HTC Desire.
I can search and pair with other Bluetooth devices (laptop, other cell phones, etc.) but I cannot connect with them (I use to connect before - but now I can't).
I've already tried "Hard Reset", installed Bluetooth file transfer, remove and add the devices.
However, nothing seems to help.
Does anyone have an idea?
Help please!!!
(and thanks in advance)
Do you think factory reset would make it work again?

Problem solved
Hi,
Just to update:
I installed ADW Launcher and noticed that some applications I used to have and disappeared - appeared again (I thought it had something to do with the hard reset I did).
Anyway, I figured I might try to connect via Bluetooth again and it started to work!!!
Something in the HTC sense launcher (or the ROM I had - which came from the shop...) caused this problem...
Hope this could help others.
I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Chreokee. When I first got the phone, it paired fine and I was able to make and receive calls through the BT. I had this setup for about 1-2 days. I then rooted the phone with the stock ROM only removing bloat ware...now I cannot connect via bluetooth back to the car. It seems to connect then disconnect me right away. Ideas?
I know this seems obvious but have you tried unpairing and repairing the phone to the car? Sometimes bluetooth can get fidgety and most of the time it requires you to repair the device. In my experience that generally solves the issues I have had with bluetooth.
Any time I have factory restored my phone I have had to repair it to any Bluetooth devices it was once connected to. Not sure if the Bluetooth address changes for the phone or not on a reset or ROM change, but it seems to be the case. My Infiniti G37s has Bluetooth and I experienced the same issue as you, pair it again and see if that helps.
Thanks for replies...I tried to repair about 6 different times...same result. It seem that the phone and audio connections both connect for about 2 seconds, then the phone disconnects.
Funny, I wanted to try this but kept forgetting. So I just went down to my garage and tried it, and it paired successfully on the first try. Tried making a call via number/phonebook and it all worked.
I'm rooted running Das BAMF 1.3, and paired it with a '11 Sonata Limited.
So I got it working...but without the phone book downloaded. The issue is in fact when it tries to download the phone book. Need to get another phone loaded up with my contacts and do a sync to get phone book loaded to car.

Did you do anything to get it working?
When the device asked me to allow connection to download the phone book, I declined, only then would it pair properly.
I think I figured it out, I have the Infiniti G37, when I rooted & re-paired the Bluetooth, somehow I ignored the question when it popped up asking to "allow" or "deny" the connection.
Yesterday during the whole 4G fiasco, I reflashed & had to re do everything this morning, when I paired my BT, it asked me whether to allow & this time I clicked allow & my BT connects & stays connected fine now.
My question is, is there a way to delete the BT pairing on the phone without having to completely wipe the phone with a reflash?

nevermind, I just found the answer
http://support.vzw.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=39262
just hold down "paired"
I believe the issue is just with the MyGig radio on the Chrysler products. I have a SRT8 Magnum with the MyGig and allowing it to download the address book "Breaks" the B.T. connection. I don't know what the issue is? Perhaps too much information being sent to the MyGig and it "locks up"?
I also have a Ford Focus for a daily driver and allowing it to download the Address Book over the phone has no such issue.

It does it on my aftermarket Kenwood double-din unit, too. I've seen it happen on several Ford units too.

I updated my 430N radio with the latest firmware update and phone book downloaded and BT is working without getting disconnected.
Thanks
Thanks for that info. Although I can't do it as I have the "MyGig" retro-fitted into my 07 SRT. So, if I apply the "official update" I will lose GPS time and a bunch of other things.
But, nice to know it works.

I'm not sure what exactly happened but I've been pairing with my old Nexus through bluetooth for a while now with no problems, and suddenly I stopped being able to connect to it or any other device. I can turn on bluetooth, see devices, and even pair but when I press on a device name to connect it says "connected" for about half a second and then disconnects immediately. Thought it was the Nexus but I am unable to connect to any other devices.
I tried rebooting, un-pair and re-pair, clearing bluetooth cache/data, clearing dalvik, but nothing.
The weird thing is that this actually happened a while back, and when I turned off developer mode it started working again. But now that's not doing anything.
I saw that there are a few old threads about others with bluetooth problems. Has there been a fix for this?
I'm running RR on 6.0.1.
Thanks in advance!
I'm writing a cordova app that was starting bluetooth just fine until, without any known change, it suddenly just hangs and my gui just sits there like duh forever. note 4 android 6 cant root it so ive got the bloat and the upgrade cycle slooowdown
Long story short have a TMo 7Pro that I converted to the international version. Running firmware 9.5.10.
I have searched the forum, I searched online. I cleared the Bluetooth cache and data. I hard reset the network settings for wifi and Bluetooth on that screen and restarted my phone. I did this twice. I even wiped my phone completely.
The issue is, my Bluetooth keeps turning on and off itself. I have watched it do it. My smartwatch (Fossil Q), wireless earbuds (Jabra 65ts) and car all constantly connect and disconnect from Bluetooth.
Sometimes the Jabras will go, connected, no device detected. My car will connect and disconnect on calls and music.
Help. This is an extremely aggravating issue. Once again I have already hard reset the wireless settings for wifi, Bluetooth and whatever have you and wiped the cache and data for Bluetooth specifically.
Thank you.
I have the exact same, watch, and 9.5.10 (not converted though) and have not had this issue. Maybe try clearing cache partition:
Wipe cache partition
Turn off your device.
Press and hold the Volume down and Power button at the same time.
When the OnePlus logo appears, release the Power button, but continue holding the Volume down button.
At the Password screen, enter the Password or PIN number that you use to unlock your device. When done, tap Ok.
Tap English.
Tap Wipe data and cache.
Tap Wipe cache.
Tap Yes to continue.
Tap Reboot to restart the phone.
Thanks friend, I actually just tried that and no dice. It works for a little while everything I do, but then it starts happening again a couple hours later.

Try this:
Delete your phone profile from your car.
Delete it also from your smartwatch.
Clear cache and data from your phone bluetooth, "forget" both of them from your phone, and reconnect all as new devices.
I hope that works.
