Im looking for the thinnest case that includes covered buttons as well as the aux/usbc/spen covered but cant seem to find anything.
If there is one, its usually 12 feet wide -_-
It doesnt have to be crazy thin, but I would like something considerably less than those heavy duty thick defender/otterbox cases.
I recently dropped and cracked my Note 7, but am getting my fixed battery replacement soon (thank god i dropped this one), so now im scared to drop the new one lol.
i use slickwraps' real leather skin. At minimum it protects the back glass and adds no bulk, plus it adds some grip.

Galaxy Note 7 Case, CHOETECH Slim & Soft TPU Phone Case Crystal Clear Transparent Anti Slip Back Cover with Dust Caps for Samsung Galaxy Note 7
I've been using this one and it's super thin, covers the ports. My favorite case since I'm not to worried about damage since I have to exchange my note 7 still
my biggest worry is skin wraps don't cover the camera bump that protrudes

Quick question...
Has anyone tried out any case that doesn't ruin the nice smooth edges of the Nexus 4? I have a Ringke case that is only 0.8 mm thick and all, but it still ruins that super smooth feeling sliding my thumb off the edge of the screen. Since I'm getting my phone back from glass back repair this week, I'll definitely be putting it in a case, but I was hoping to find something that preserved some of the unique Nexus 4 feel.
Lowest profile, I have personally used is the Poetic Palette

Thinner than the Diztronic ultra thin hard case but the trade off is that the bottom and top portion of the phone is exposed.

doesn't cover the edges all around (top and bottom), so this offers minimal drop protection.
I'm in the same boat. I'd like to find an ultra-thin TPU style case that still covers all sides/edges. Basically, a slimmer version of the Diztronic TPU case would fit the bill nicely.
I'm looking for something similar as well. I have one of the nillkin hard cases, which is already quite thin, but it still ruins the side edges.
The only way to preserve the edges is to have a case that snaps onto the phone from the top and bottom, leaving the sides open. I don't know of any cases like this and have been using my nexus, sans case, for 2.5 months.

I used my phone for two months without case. $64 to repair the glass back (plus shipping). I'll be putting a skin and a case on it. My back didn't shatter from impact; it shattered while in a Spider Podium mounted in my car, likely from temperature change.
So my plan was to get the slimmest case I could for Verizon note 4. On my note 3 I had the incipio feather case (loved it-although little protection).
Got my note 4 and no readily available cases. Went naked for a week. Ordered the spigen thin fit (incipio feather not available?).
Got it (no mic hole issues as it is open on bottom). It is a bit slippery but is exactly like feather case. Very very annoying how ever-increasing does squeak when put pressure on sides - clearly mold only 95% accurate...
Now this is the slimmest case out there.... And I am so missing carrying this phone naked. The Samsung back feels so grippy and nice. Amazing how even this thin case adds noticeable bulk.
Starting to get contaminated with "this thin fit case doesn't protect much anyway.....
This phone naked is the bomb. Anyone routinely not case phone and have success.? I saw someone yesterday with note 3 looked like a banged up car on sides. Slapped the spigen back on. Hahaha
As an aside, waiting for the official Samsung protective cover - may be a good solution. But, sold out on Samsung site..... Anyone have this one? No video reviews that I can find.
For the squeaking, just put strips of masking or electrical tape on both sides of the inside of the case. Silly that you have to do anything, but this is a solution.
So I'm about to pick up my Note 4 upgrading from an HTC One S in which I had a Ballistic case on. I absolutely loved this case more than anything because I had 110% confidence nothing would happen every single time I dropped my phone and I want this same security in my next case. What I loved about it was it wasn't bulky and I could still slip it in my pocket. This is what I'm looking for in my case for the Note 4. I want as good protection against drops as my Ballistic case had along with it being slim enough to fit in my pocket. Here's what I have so far, but I'm very open to new suggestions as long as that case you suggest is as strong as a ballistic that doesn't make my phone 6":

Verus [Heavy Drop Protection] Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Case [Thor]
UAG Slate
Thanks!
I would highly recommend the Tech 21 Impact Tactical. It's a real thick, quality tpu case with a textured surface finish. Has the D20 impactology around the edge of the case and a real good lip on the case to protect the screen. Cut outs are perfect, nice design, brilliant quality.
Really gives me the confidence that my phone will survive a substantial knock or drop. It is just thick enough to also stop the camera lense touching a flat surface when the phone is laying flat on a smooth surface.
I have a black one. Looks very stealthy.

I would say Spigen Tough Armor or Verus Thor.

The UAG is a great case, but it's bulky and not comfortable to hold.
Uag and never look back.

My 1st case for the Note 4 was the Versus Thor. I haven't thought about looking for another.
Verus Thor. The feel of the case on your note 4 will seal the deal. Bought UAG case...and tried several times to like it. Love how tight it fits on phone as it "snaps" on. But...I always end up swapping out with Verus case. Love the clean look of the Thor. More sleek. If I wanted bulky feel...I would just get Otterbox Defender and call it a day.

Thanks for the reviews...in regard to the Nillkin case/bumper...I only found sellers in China on eBay...you know of any US sellers or Amazon sellers? I checked both but didn't find anything...thanks!!
Yes your correct I purchased it from a China supplier via eBay. It took a couple of weeks to arrive but overall good value for money.
I have two of the 3 main cases reviewed in same colors. The Samsung protective case fits better than the Nillkin. The Nillkin required some excess removal around the USB and mics to fit without slightly pulling away from bezel near the home button and allowing light to peak through the USB port. The fit here is much better on the Samsung case.
The lack of side grip is actually worse and more like the Verus Thor case, the Samsung protective case gets more slippery when cold than the Nillkin case. The Nillkin despite its smooth sides doesn't lose as much grip when cold.
Also, the Nillkin case fits the headphone jack better IMO because it covers all the chamfered edges. Once I fitted the USB port, I could say that I prefer its fit around the USB port better for the same reason but there is some concern about the fit near the mics. The Samsung case fits the mics perfectly and tight and even accommodates the Verizon spacing here. My modification on the Nillkin is not precise so I think the Samsung case may actually sound better on a call.
The review mentions the Nillkin is easy on, easy off; exactly, but it appears the Samsung case is harder to remove than even the Verus Thor despite looking and feeling quite similar around the bezel lip. The Samsung case feels as if it needs to stretch to come off but less cooperative at doing so when cold.
Others have said the Nillkin is compatible with the OEM wireless charger cover. If so, the case may appeal to both the wireless chargers and frequent battery replacement users.
I may try the S curve case but would like to know if it covers the chamfered edges as nice as the Nillkin but also fits the mics as perfectly as the Samsung protective case+?
damn that sucks about the Samsung case.. amazon is full of 5 star reviews so I got it.. and now I'm reading it sucks. and i spent 20 bucks on that stupid thing. damnit. oh well it comes Monday so we'll see. I'm using the diztronic now and it's nice, but i agree with him that the s line case is great. I've got the same one, but it doesn't fit as well as it should around the bottom lip of rhe phone, and the cutouts don't match the Verizon one. also, there's no raised edge around the camera and i don't like that since I place my phone down on its back.

There must not be a perfect case out there at the moment. What disappoints me about the Samsung protective case+ is the cold grip and ease of removal. Your results may differ; hoping warmer weather improves the ease of removal. I do think the warmer weather grip is good. We've had a warm day and a cold day since the case arrived. The fit is as nice as the Verus Thor.
To be fair on the grip gripes, I have small hands and suffer from dry skin in colder environments. Both tend to make these cases cold, hard and slippery.
Thanks for the commentary on the S Line case.
The cases compromise one thing or another. For now, I can deal with the lack of grip of the Samsung case because it's minimal. Don't get bummed until you try it yourself.
I got the Samsung, and i have no problem with grip issues. probably bc i used the diztronic for like 3 weeks.. and the sides of that are slippery too. this to me is decent enough grip. I actually love this Samsung case. it's thin. feels better than the diztronic. really keeps the phone shape the same. I got the blue and it looks so cool

I thought I was going to buy the Tech 21 Tactical Impact in matte black today. T-mobile only had the mesh in purple; I tried the fit on my phone and hate the exposed chamfered edges near the headphone jack. Also lacks the raised camera lip. Disappointing. The salesman said the black matte case, which they didn't have ATM, would be identical in fit. Deal breaker for my pursuit of a better case. The Nillkin Armor bumper case and Samsung are the better cases, for me. The Verus Thor is third for me.
Next week I should recieve e.grips which I plan to stick on the Samsung case.
It's amazing that we can't find a great slim case with a good grip.
Every time I look through XDA posts on cases, I always see people getting the most protection possible from their cases. I am opposite - I hate adding any bulk; even .4". I am trying to find a case that just protects the back and sides from little scuffs (not actually anything in regards to dropping it from 4 feet). I know iPhone has a bunch (what a waste) and want to find one very similar. Matte black, silicone that is as thing as possible.
Anyone come across any yet? I can't be the only one that is looking!
Examples (New user - can't hyperlink. Sorry!):
Caudabe - The Veil for iPhone 5/5s
Desmay - The Slight for iPhone 6 Plus
Spigen - Case Air Skin for iPhone 6s
Thanks!
Josh
I'm also looking for this. I currently use the Maxboost mSnap thin, perfect fit case, which seems to be the smallest available, but it's not perfect.
Coming from the S7 Edge, I'm used to cases leaving the side edges uncovered. This Maxboost grips the bezel on every side, making the volume and power buttons difficult to press, and side swiping aggravating.
If I could find something as minimal as the S7e's Spigen Thin Fit, I would be happy.

I use the Rhino Bumper....crazy effective Drop protection, lip on both sides so when you set phone down flat there is no risk of getting scratches. I love this Bumper. Took a minute to understand Charger opening , but now it's smooth sailing and I couldn't be happier

Here is what I got as a minimal case (I also hate adding any bulk to my phone) - https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01M1DR187/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm really enjoying this matte black case https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LSB371S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Scratches on the back of the case are self healing and it's very thin! I use a magnetic car dock and keep the metal plate taped to the inside of the case and it works perfectly for me!

I have this case. I don't like the lip around the sides. If It didn't have a raised lip around the sides I think it would be a great case
