Anyone with the variety of clear cases care to chime in on what they recommend? I'm leaning towards the spigen ultra hybrid. Mainly due to the name brand but curious of some others out there. I ordered a frost and want to show off the styling! I know clear cases can be iffy so wanted some opinions.

I think there are a lot of threads on cases but I also appreciate the idea that it's sometimes hard to sift through them all.
I'll sum one up for you - The Nillkin Nature TPU case seems to be very popular. You have to order it from Hong Kong on eBay. I got mine and it is GREAT with one serious flaw in my opinion. It has a plastic flap over the USB power port. It is 100% TPU and very thin, adds almost nothing to the phone. That in turn means it doesn't afford a lot of protection. It does come in a clear version. I got the grey version for my Graphite 6P and cut off the USB power port flap. This makes it slightly imperfect which bugs me a bit. USB flap aside, it's a great case.
Thanks for the info. Yeah I was hesitant start a new convo for it cause I know there are a lot of general case posts, but I thought since clear cases are a thing of their own, itd be nice to have a go to post for those of us interested in them.

I have the Spigen ultra hybrid. Solid case - doesn't feel flimsy like other clear TPU cases. The lip is slightly raised on the front so that the screen wouldn't touch the surface when face down. This case had an issue in the beginning where it looked like there was a small crack near the fingerprint sensor opening (not a crack but it looks like one). They may have fixed it since then. The only complaint i have is that the entire camera black bar is exposed with this case instead of just the area where the lens and laser focus are.
I've tried Spigen ultra hybrid and the neo hybrid ex. Case-mate is the best one. There is a convo about it in the Spigen Neo hybrid ex post.

Yeah the whole opening of the black bar I didn't like as well as the like square outline on the back. Otherwise it looked pretty nice. I ended up going with this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0168DHS1Q/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_CFuGwbXHQ21PE. Looks minimal, easy to take on and off, and slim. We'll see. I wanted to have a case here ready for my phone so needed a prime option. I'll post back on my opinion when I get on the phone.

Just got an Orzly Fusion Bumper case (or something like that). Very nice clear case, boutons are not covered which is very nice, and there is a black color on the sides which mean when you look at screen, edges are also black
Don't know if sides are transparent on other black-sided cases (like Ringke smoke black) but here, it's not.
Any clear case with a logo on it is an instant no-buy for me.
I'm happy with my redSHIELD clear case (Amazon Link)
It's one of the few I found that doesn't have a logo *anywhere* on it. It's a good clear TPU case for the money (likely the same case Orzly uses for its Flexicase). The only minus point is that the power and volume buttons are a bit squishy and harder to press than the actual buttons, but I rarely need to press them.
I am quite happy with the Ringke fusion clear case, it doesn't have the best compatibility with skins like Dbrand or Slickwraps because it has a snug fit but it lets you cut layouts to put between the phone and the case much like the old Nokia 3100
This is slightly unrelated, but how do you guys carry around your nexus 6p with these clear cases? I mean in the pocket? I have the spigen clear case and the case is fine, but every time I slide the phone in my pocket it gets a lot of lint on the front exposed side of the phone. Maybe a wallet style case ?

Maybe wash your pants better? Sorry. Seriously, I use the Spigen Ultra Hybrid with my phone, and have never had a problem with lint. Out of curiousity, do you use a screen protector? That may help as well.

I don't know if it will help against the lint, but the screen protector is always a good idea. My phone screen is lint free with a SP on it. Lint does accumulate in the gap between SP and case. Some ppl get lint in camera holes, but I haven't.

I love my Spigen Ultra Hybrid.
Nillkin Nature for me! Good for protection in your pockets against debris, not for drops though!
Supcase is nice. A little stiff but it looks nice and is more protective than most of the clears I believe. And the ringke fusion is really nice and softer. It looks great but a bit thinner than the supcase. I have them both.
Famous brand always have high quality but designers won't pay much attention to customers,if they can hear our voices,it will be great!
I've got a Ringke smoke black one. No problems.
Disclaimer: I received this product for free in exchange for an unbiased review.
I received a Diztronic Voyeur Series case for the Nexus 6P and after using it for approximately two weeks, I wanted to share my thoughts.
PACKAGING:
The voyeur case arrived in a brown Diztronic box. Not too much to be impressed with, but the box held the product nicely. Inside the box, Diztronic bubble wrapped their case for extra protection during shipping. Once I opened the box and unwrapped the bubble wrap, there were a total of 3 protective films over my case. One film coated the clear plastic on the inside and was a bit of a hassle to get off. At first, I thought there was just one film on the outside which removed very easily. I used the case for a week, but I received several scratches all over the back of the clear backing. I reached out to support and they immediately responded to my photos of the scratches with a simple solution: I still had another clear film on the outside of the clear backing. I felt like a complete idiot, and once I removed this THIRD protective film, all scratches disappeared. The case felt better after all protective films were removed. In all, packaging was great, but could have been better with instructions since there were so many protective films on the case that others like myself may not expect.
FIT:
My 6P slid right inside the case. The case fits perfectly. Not too tight and not loose at all. The case feels solid on the phone and great in hand. All cut outs are awesome. The headphone and USB-C cutouts are both square, and I have not had an issue with either. The volume buttons are covered together and marked with a plus and minus sign. The power button is also covered but has the standard power symbol on the button. I have had ZERO issues with the buttons. The buttons are great and clicky and after using other brands of cases, I prefer this Diztronic design. Down from the side buttons, there is a Diztronic brand imprint. It is not overly visible nor does it interfere with the nice design of the case. The front of the case does have a lip which is a necessity for me. On the back, the camera cutout is open for the lens, flash, autofocus, etc. Nothing crazy in terms of design here, just the usual oval cutout design. The fingerprint scanner cutout is perfect in my opinion and not too large like other companies. In my experience using the case, I did not have an issue finding the fingerprint cutout. The clear back is not as slippery as the phone naked and the case remains ultra slim. On the bottom of the back of the case, there are little legs which really makes this case stand out. These little legs on the back of the case help to keep your phone level when laying on its back. I am sure this also helps prevent scratching, but after using this case now, I still have no scratches or marks whatsoever which is amazing for a clear backed case. I have used other brands where the clear became foggy/scratched/or had other imperfections, but this is not the case with the new Voyeur series.
PROS:
- INCREDIBLE design for the price
- Completely scratch-free after using case for 2 weeks
- tiny legs on back of case keep phone flat
- extra slim case that offers great protection
- clicky and tactile button covers
- all cutouts aligned correctly
- BEAUTIFUL product!
CONS:
- You might have several protective films over the clear plastic back. If you have any scratches or marks, reach out to Diztronic support and they can help you!
FINAL THOUGHTS:
So should you spend your hard earned $11.95 on this case? ABSOLUTELY. On a scale of 1-10, I award this case with a SOLID 10. After I used a RhinoShield bumper for 2 weeks, and then a Poetic Affinity case for a month, this case is everything! The plastic will not scratch, and I feel like my phone is protected. I do not have to worry about any marks to my device and while protecting the device, I can show off my favorite 6P color: gold! If you prefer slim but protective cases, please give the Diztronic Voyeur Series a try. They have amazing customer support and their products focus on consumer feedback. :good:

Horrible back design.
It is a great case. I have it too. But the only issue is the device has play inside the case. Look at the fingerprint sensor and the hole cut out for the fingerprint sensor. It is always off,....never center like the spigen or the other distronic case.

My 6P does not have any play inside of the case at all. It fits like a glove. On the Poetic Affinity, my phone constantly shifted inside the case... I am not sure if you just got a lemon or if I got lucky lol. As far as the fingerprint cutout, its exactly centered as it should be. I just received Diztronic's latest revision though last month so I am not sure if that has anything to do with the fingerprint sensor cutout being more precise. I seriously cannot find anything off with my case.
I have both versions of the Affinity case and neither had any give inside. I do agree w/ joooe that this case's design isn't my cup of tea but I do love Diztronic cases. Used them for other devices. I've always loved the material Diztronic uses on their TPU cases. One thing I do not like about this case is the "legs" on the bottom. I've never liked those things on any smart device case. I guess you can consider that the Affinity cases have "legs" on them as well but the design makes it less obtrusive and part of the overall design instead of just jutting out on the corners.

oohh the legs are one of my favorite features of this Diztronic case. I think the design of this case is minimal and I really like the overall design. The tpu material feels great in hand.
On the subject of the Poetic case, I was completely disappointed. I even reached out to their support and they refused to even acknowledge that my case was no good. The case did not fit my 6P snug at all. I had probably 1-2 mm of extra space inside the case from the top of my 6p to the inside of the Affinity case. I could literally rock my phone back and forth inside the case. It was ridiculous. That was the last straw for me with Poetic. The first issue I had with the Affinity was that they mailed me the old design with all the logos all over it. I had to ask them to send me the revised model without the logos. Of course they did that, but would not replace the faulty case that now sits in my closet since I received this Voyeur case.
Yeah, I had the original design and when I learned of the new one, just emailed them and they sent me new one for free. I was very happy with the revised version and currently using it now. All of us just get lemons sometimes.

I ditched Spigen's Ultra Hybrid for this, haven't been disappointed yet. I even removed my dbrand (carbon) skin and went naked, but I'm thinking to slap a leather/matte skin, loving the case.
i don't know why, but my back came scratched out of the box. I haven't scratched it myself, but the scratch it came with has bugged me a bit since i got it. aside from that, i didn't like the plastic back at first as it feels slippery if your hands ever sweat. but i got used to it, and i love this case. and i own a lot of cases LOL.

I bought the clear case. TMobile sells them. Compared to other minimal cases i have had in the past (and one other Amazon case for the note7) it seems better. It hugs the curves ans shape of the device perfectly, and the holes line up EXACTLY which often isn't the 'case' for 3rd party cases. It's also very thin and light and on my silver note7 it's hardly noticeable.

its $20ish. Will post pictures when I can figure out how to do so as I sold my Note5 already!!. Its a very soft TPU case.
I have been looking for photos, videos and reviews of this case too but they seem non existent so far. Whatever info you can post would be great.
I've been into slim clear cases for a long time. I'd like to appreciate the body down to its finest lines and curves, caressing its smooth texture, feeling the little tips and points where they sprout along the edges, admiring the beauty that is gleaming in front of me, wanting to grab........ok well you get the point. I risked my phones going naked for these reasons for a long time, but alas, the Note 7 might require a case from me.
Anyways, I would search high and low for thin slim clear cases that would
1) wont produce so much fingerprint smear
2) smooth as buttah
3) wont stick to the glass backing and create a rainbow effect
4) doesnt have sharp lips
5) its flush against the edges.
Now yes, it does attract fingerprints but less so since its soft TPU and I've come to accept the annoyance that comes with using clear cases that its inevitable. Aside from that it meets the rest of my requirements. Not all soft TPU cases are alike. This particular O.E.M clear case feels good in the hands. Soft, smooth (almost like hard plastic), and at times grippy. I unfortunately do not have pictures to show but may post them later. If you are highly interested, I suggest stopping by your local t-mobile store to try it on first. If you like it buy it, if not keep searching. Good luck! :good:
I ordered this case and and I really like it but I'm a fan of slim/minimalistic cases that showcase the design of phones. The material is a soft rubber(?) not a hard shell. It's clear so it does show a lot of fingerprints but it fits the phone perfectly. The case feels tacky/grippy so the phone feels extra secure when you're holding it.

A similarly thin spigen is only $10 bucks.

Got this one as well. Got the Note 7 starter pack from Samsung which contained
TPU case clear
2 pcs screen protector
1 pc tilted wireless charger
Pros: tpu case is very minimal in when it comes to thickness so thats a plus.
Con: it doesnt have raised edges. So if you placed your phone upside down, the screen itself would be touching the table. And worse, if you drop it face down, the screen would take much of the impact
Screen protector:
Pro: its a curved platic screen protector so it wraps on the edges
Con: its thicker than your usual screen protector. Almost as thick as those invisashield ones. The more important negative on this, since it wraps around the whole screen even the edges. When i bought a Spigen Liquid Crystal case (for raised edges). When i slipped it on, it peels the side of the screen protector.
Tilted wireless charger is a tilted wireless charger. Nothing to comment except that it takes getting used to. Its just easier to charge with the flat version when it comes to just dropping your phone. Tilted one requires a little more alignment

Thisphone is hard to hold naked so I run a case, ringke is my current daily. I'd love to run a skin but they simply aren't attractive with seems, plus I like being able to toss my phone around.
Have you seen the cruzerlite bugdroid cases? I have a red and a black one. However, due to the nature of the material in the semi opaque red one, it is more flexible and does not fit as well as the black one. So the black one stays on permanently.

Yeah I've seen them. They look not bad.
Currently using a silicon case, but planning on using skin sometime soon. Really want to feel the Z5C touch without any hindrance. Love the frosted glass finish on the back.
I wish there was a Diztronic TPU case for it. I've been using their brand for my previous Moto X, Nexus 6 and 5x and they're the best I've had so far. Minimalistic, durable and protective. Anyways for now I'm using a Orzly Semi transparent TPU case bought from Amazon, it's fairly decent compared to what's available, i wouldn't consider a skin on this device.

I've been using the DevilCase aluminum bumper with a tempered glass protector. So far it's held up to all the drops and smacks I've given it. The bumper is visible worn and scratched but the phone itself still looks new.
I use a generic transparent silicone case that covers and provide a front raise.d protection the phone is slippery as hell without a case. I've dropped it several times getting inside and outside of the car during the first 2 months. It got some heavy scratches on the corners and also on the back from slipping it in and out of my front jean pockets. It loses some of it's appeal with the case but then again; I got a much better grip now and I can just drop it instead of 'gently' placing it on the table; and I do this like 100x a day.

It's around $50, not the most expensive of cases but more than the standard TPU and silicone ones.

Ah ok, I'm rocking an orzly case. Not bad either....
I always use TPU cases with my phones. I wish I didn't have to use a case, but your phone WILL eventually fall and hit the ground at some point, so you need protection. I prefer TPU because it's the perfect balance between polycarbonate and silicone. It is hard enough to feel robust and not stick to your pockets (pulling everything up along with your phone), and feels soft enough to absorb impacts. NEVER had a phone crack or dent with one of these. And they fall from hip height from time to time when I get out of the car. I dunno, some part of this is luck, but I trust these cases. They're simple, dirt cheap and efficient.
In addition to a glass scree protector on the front, I use a dbrand sticker on the back to increase grip and protect the glass from breaking or getting scratched.
Ringke Fusion for all my devices. Best protection, small footprint. Never looked back.

Ringke Fusion seems quite popular
interesting
Redneck Tetron. Dual layer protection and stand. I'm very satisfied.
I'm simply using a TPU cover bought for 5 euro and saved my phone already 3 times. It's perfectly fitting the size and doesn't add extra weight or size to the phone itself.
I'm using it combined with a tempered glass.
FYI something like this: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/9CSjnj2gSms/maxresdefault.jpg
Only orzly
ALL users of z5 tried few china tpu cases, but that one is awesome, I recommend 100%, phone looks elegant and like without case ( with dark version). Moreover, it's matt and really nice in touch :good::good::good: youtube.com/ watch?v=GtxgfKDej-E im not a producer, just happy user
I agree, I'd use the phone naked but its too slippary. All I really want is a bumper but no one has any.
Therefore, I just got a black TPU case and cut out the back to make it into a bumper. The cut could have been cleaner but its been working for me.
Every time I look through XDA posts on cases, I always see people getting the most protection possible from their cases. I am opposite - I hate adding any bulk; even .4". I am trying to find a case that just protects the back and sides from little scuffs (not actually anything in regards to dropping it from 4 feet). I know iPhone has a bunch (what a waste) and want to find one very similar. Matte black, silicone that is as thing as possible.
Anyone come across any yet? I can't be the only one that is looking!
Examples (New user - can't hyperlink. Sorry!):
Caudabe - The Veil for iPhone 5/5s
Desmay - The Slight for iPhone 6 Plus
Spigen - Case Air Skin for iPhone 6s
Thanks!
Josh
I'm also looking for this. I currently use the Maxboost mSnap thin, perfect fit case, which seems to be the smallest available, but it's not perfect.
Coming from the S7 Edge, I'm used to cases leaving the side edges uncovered. This Maxboost grips the bezel on every side, making the volume and power buttons difficult to press, and side swiping aggravating.
If I could find something as minimal as the S7e's Spigen Thin Fit, I would be happy.

Scratches on the back of the case are self healing and it's very thin! I use a magnetic car dock and keep the metal plate taped to the inside of the case and it works perfectly for me!

I have this case. I don't like the lip around the sides. If It didn't have a raised lip around the sides I think it would be a great case
