[Completed] Galaxy s6 wakelock usb not working - XDA Assist

Hello everyone
I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 G920F with stock rom.A couple of days back I did a factory reset from recovery in order to make it run smooth again since it was filled with bloatware and such after 6months of use.
All good until I saw a huge drop of battery with Android OS showing in everything ( stock battery consumption , gsam battery, betterbatterystats etc.) The problem is that I cannot use Wakelock Detector because my phone USB suddenly stopped working.... I don't have warranty on the phone.Guys from phone service in my town told me that if i want to change the charger band they have to remove the display etc...( I use a wireless charger)
I tried 3 times to factory reset, clear cache daily, etc... nothing.
NOTE : Even in Safe Mode I have Android OS on top at battery consumption...
What I want to know is , if I can flash a stock rom without root/usb working.
Thanks !

[Q] Battery does not charge

First of all; I've used search and found nothing that fitted my problem. I hope I didn't repeat a existing question.
My problem is this:
I have an european Galaxy S running on Darky's rom. Since a couple of days, I've been unable to charge the Galaxy through the USB port, a problem I never had in the past.
If plugged through the USB to a computer, the phone is properly detectd, and I can copy files into it without any problem. If I leave the cable plugged either there, a car adapter on my car, or a wall charger, the charging animation is on, but the battery drains slowly instead of charging.
What I've tried:
*tried different batteries
*updated to last Darky's rom (Slim no wipe)
*read about battery drain, recalibered battery; installing a fresh battery charged on an oem dock), wiping battery stats from CWM, leaving the phone on until battery slowly died
*full wipe, factory reset
*disable voodoo from cwm
*updated to last Darky's rom (full with wipe)
Nothing worked so far.
I have no clue of what is going on. I did nothing strange or new before this issue showed, at least as far as I remember. I'm running now swapping the depleted batteries out of the phone.
I hope somebody could help me.
Thank you.
If Darky broke it he should have the solution .
I would remove Darky rom and flash stock froyo .
jje
I have flashed an older rom, I9000XXJP1, just for testing, and the problem is still there.
Could it be a hardware issue?.
Yeah we got one like this @ work, brand new and faulty.
The symptoms on the first day :
- Doesn't charge via PC or external power source
- USB mass storage is fine
- Still warm after at least one hour on idle (wifi, gps and bt OFF)
=> warranty.
I suggest that you put back the original ROM before it dies by lack of power and use your warranty
I think that's what I will have to do. I'll flash some old stock rom and send it to service. Pity I didn't keep the original one from Movistar network.
I'll look for it somewhere.
Thank you.
One question, was the screen on when you were doing this? I've noticed that the chargers usually don't have enough current to power the screen, the phone, and charge the battery all at once.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Discover Flash Issues

I am new to this forum, but I have done some reading about flashing/rooting an Android device. I am from Jamaica and I am aware that there is not a firmware available at this time for the Samsung Galaxy Discover...model name SGH-S730M.
I managed to unlock the phone however ever since that point, the battery life has been saying 1% only even if its charging. If the phone is off, it fully charges in off mode, but once I turn it on it decharges very quickly to 1% even though the battery is fully functional and working. The phone manages to stay on regularly but shuts down unexpectedly, not to mention its still not connected to a network despite my trials.
To render the problem I tried re-flashing the phone using ClockworkMode, and I was sucessful to restore a backup custom ROM for the phone. There is still a battery problem.
Could someone perhaps help me alleviate this issue. Even if its just to get the battery issue resolved.
Thanks.

N8013 Charging stuck at 0% - motherboard problem?

I've had this 8013 for a while and have hardly used it. Softbricked my Nexus 7 (bootloop, cant get to fastboot mode, but thats another story), so started up my 8013.
Somehow the screen on the 8013 stayed on and discharged the battery.
After connecting the charger (Samsung OEM charger and OEM cable) the status was: 0% Charging.
Have read (most) of the charging related posts on XDA and have not been able to revive my tablet.
I requested the Samsung Service Center to replace the battery, but they claim this is a motherboard problem.
I factory reset it - didn't help.
I used a rooting app and wiped the battery stats but that didn't help either.
So, is there any hope of fixing the 8013 (its out of warranty as I bought it from the US (refurbished) and the local Service Center will have nothing to do with it).
Solved / Workaround
I noticed the charger was getting warm, but cooled down after a while.
I left the charger connected for a day.
My guess was that the OS was seeing the battery charge at 0% and shutting the system down.
I fixed this by using
[MOD][XPOSED][2.3+] DisableCriticalBatteryShutdown - v1.0 [ABANDONED]
to disable the shutdown feature. With this installed the tablet has worked for more than 30 minutes now. Hopefully I can recalibrate the battery, if not, I'll just have to use it as long as I think it would be safe without killing it.

Note edge problem with 6.0.1 - Docs

after I upgrade my Note Edge on 6.0.1 OTA ( on the Air )
Ive turned off Location History, S-pen detection , and buy new battery to improve battery life
But, my phone got message ( couldn't use fingerprint after restart ) when im trying to used my phone
After i turn it off ( sleep )
- Phone cant be turned on immediately after I turned it off
then after a while I got this message ( couldnt start boot normally, ddi : mmc_read failed )
Any help ? about what might be happening ?
PS : Im trying to downgrade it to KK 4.4 but had no luck on rooting the device.
Any HELP appreciated. TQ
ps : green light with screen off blinking atm..
no simcard nor external sdcard installed
If you want to downgrade to kitkat try flashing stock firmware from manufacturer site
any link ? tks... and do umthink its the hardware issye or the software issue ?
It's probably software, not big deal.
It's better that you google it but search exact model you have that in 'About phone' or on box in which phone was when you bought it.
And just one more thing did you cleared cache after upgrade? Also factory reset would probably clean up the mess, than you'll probably could use phone with marshmallow on it normally.
tq, but we are suspecting the nvram...because off the symptoms and the excess heat.
and yes ive have wiped cache then factory reset it.
seniors, do u have any experienced IF the problem was NVRAM and it was replaced, will it last ? thx
Apparently the problems was the battery, Samsung Note Edges are very picky about the battery, even when I 've replaced the battery with new battery . Apparenty in my case the battery was not super ORI ( even since ive bought the batt with distributor logo on it ) with the same voltage and not even swollen.
nope, not the battery, im thinking of mainboard / ic power defect. since the battery cannot be recharged after forced shutdown

battery issues after root S5

hello!
so i would like to start and say i tried to find a solution on already made posts and in general googling it.
also that i used to have more exp with android, but i left dealing with it like 3 years ago, now im kinda clueless....and things are different
i have rooted my "galaxy s5" using this - "CF-Auto-Root-klte-kltexx-smg900f.tar" iv done so mainly to use an app that can connect to wifi networks and show me the password. every thing went perfect.
the only thing i noticed - my battery
A. started to drain sooooo much faster, like double or more.
b. charging slower (im not 100% sure about it) but i am sure that when i charge the phone while playing it\using its barely charging, when in the past it would go in to full
the best thing about this phone was the battery life, just perfect...now its annoying...like a damn iPhone:crying:, so please help me.
what i tried
A. - fully charging the phone while turned off, then in recovery Wipe Battery Stats, then disconnect the cable and reboot manualy and discharging fully.
B. iv checked what new apps i got (almost none) and with the "phone manager(the android build in one)" putted most apps on "sleep" when not used, and what app take more or unusual battery...but nothing
i got the latest android version for s5
thank you, i hope i wrote everything you need, let me know if more info needed
