Reliance jio 4g on note3 sm-n900(request) - Galaxy Note 3 Exynos Android Development

Experts,
Can we use reliance 4g jio sim in note3 sm-n900 exynos?
Any solution for this like changing bands or by using external apps.

Note 3 n900 does not support LTE , therfore you can't use any 4g carrier with indian note 3 .

You can try using a 4g sim , but it wont work , cause it simply doesnt support LTE bands.
This is one of the difference between exynos and snapdragon note 3.

Even using a snapdragon variant in india wont support indian 4g bands.
You can search on google , "why there are two variants of samsung flagship devices ."
Basically they do it because of mass production load and because of various network bands all around the world.

There is no practical solution for this .

Bro now no words for samsung exynos.
Even bad service for indians........
Now next time never will buy samsung flagship.

Indian Note 4 is having snapdragon processor.
But have a look at this before criticising exynos :

Hi, in my opinion you can use sim 4G on note 3 exynos but the band 4G of course don´t work, it work until 3G, it´s not a problem of rom or software, simply limitation of hardware, nothing can do it. Exynos it´s not bad that snapdragon, exynos was developed for Samsung and the reason of limitation is only that it´s not an open source. 4G no depends on be Exynos or Snapdragon, I had sometime ago note 4 N910H Exynos, aparently don´t have 4G but really it has only hidden, flashed a custom rom and will free and work perfectly. same case with octacore, just three or four cores works and the rest four are sleeping but twerk the kernel correctly they can work. The same Samsung announced that had putted in the device exynos hidden potentialities that eventually rolls with upgrades but of course they forget the project and abandon device cause it´s not convenience for the industry, the sell must be go on...

If i have rooted my samsung galaxy note 3 sm n900 and flashed other rom then 4g will work or not .bcz it mobile networks it is showing lte?????

Flash n9005 ROM because your device sd

Hi, thing is so simply, 4G is about hardware, if device don't come with this frequency preinstalled simply don't work, there's no nothing to do, no mods, no custom roms to flash. The n9005 international version is 4G, The n900p is version for sprint, of course that if it is for USA will be LTE like minimum (it's not the same of 4G). Frequencies preinstalled in hardware no depends on be exynos, snapdragon, qualcomm or mediatek, just depends on the structure or arquitecture, for example mtk6582 of Blu Dash is just 3G but mtk6735 of Doogee Homtom HT6, i'm owner support not only LTE too 4G, my note 4 exynos with custom rom from Dr.Ketan supported LTE real certified for company. But SM N900 don't support LTE and 4G, no matter what sim you use. Simular is the case with devices without radio, only you can install a radio.apk that work by internet but no by hertz waves of modulated frequencie.

I think n900p is sd

Sorry, I'm not clear, I answer to general thread that it' s about sm n900 and 4G, in the case of jdrocks777 be sure that company have a covered area with 4G, or a chip 4G, no all the sims support it, other possible is to go to /root/data/persist.radio.lteon from false to true, give permissions, reboot.

I done this method but no result but when i purchase this model N900P sprint this shows Only 4G no other mod.

You've managed to mix up something here. You stated you have a SCH-I535 which is the Verizon USA variant of the S3 but your baseband says it's the i9300 which is the international S3. Something isn't right here

Pull the battery and post what model number is written on the back of the phone. Or download CPU-Z and post the info listed on the System tab. i9300 S3 are quad core Exynos processor and 1 GB of ram, i9305 are quad core Exynos processor with 2 GB ram and LTE. The below article has been unchanged in the last 2 years.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Model

Okay so I bought a Samung S6 (SM-G920P) carrier unlocked online and it came with a custom firmware which is why I couldn't update from 5.1.1 (Lollipop) to 7.0 (Nougat). I flashed my phone to 7.0 with the same model (SM-G920P) but I can't connect to a mobile network and this is where I think the CSC code needs to be changed to my region? I also looked on the back of my phone and saw "SM-G920R4", does that mean I can flash SM-G920R4 or should I stick to SM-G920P? Could you also answer if I need a different CSC code please.
Thank you!

So if I flash 7.0 (SM-G920R4) I will be able to get signal? It's got a USA carrier and I'm not in the US, but my phone was bought unlocked, should that matter? Will I still get signal after flashing SM-G920R4?
Actually it might work, if it has a sim slot you have to put inside a LTE FDD compatible sim. According to Samsung, phone has FDD LTE capabilities on B2, B4, B5, B12.

Flash SM-G920R4 that will work GSM. I did this on mine. Your device has hardware for the GSM and CDMA networks. I assure you.
Use the Network app (Philipp Managelow) on Google Play to free up other networks that were not originally available.

In USA band 41(2500 MHz) is used for VoLTE/LTE by most of carriers but in India band 40(2300 MHz) is used for VoLTE by Jio. So if you buy any US variant smartphone, Most probably it will have support of only band 41. This is one of the reason not to buy phone from USA if you plan to bring it to india. This is why you should buy phones from india.
If i install indian firmware on it does it work

Not entirely true. Jio calling works only on VoLTE.. no fallback to 2g/3g. So VoLTE works on all bands, 850/1800/2300MHz. If it were only 2300, i shouldn't have volte when am on 850band and calls should fail in areas distant from signal Tower where only 850 can reach.
Regarding VoLTE functionality on US models... It's relevant to CSC. if you can flash indian CSC, you'll have volte but to modify CSC, you need root. for now, we don't have root on S8 USA models.

Indian models are exynos based.. you can't simply ODIN like that (US models are snapdragon based).
Am using S7 sprint version on Jio with Indian CSC, so VoLTE works for me. My S8 should arrive in 1wk. I'll post if i succeed somehow

Yup sim is working fine im using internet smoothly. Nd calling done trough jio voice app. If it was band problem it wont for internet also
The main problem is with volte feature phn try to call through simple network whereas jio calls r go through volte internet system
If u find someway to on volte feature of usa model it will work fine
VoLTE relies on CSC. But because you bought a US version, I don't think you can flash an Exynos CSC on a Snapdragon phone.
So unless you can figure that out, you won't have VoLTE.
Anyone got the solution

Just install Jio4GVoice from apk monk (not from Playstore as you may not see it there) and make it default calling app. It's a workaround and should work.

Use jio4gvoice apk. Which is available in play store.
It worked in Android 7.0.0
I am using US t-mobile s8+ and when i was on Android 7.0.0 using shortcut master application and there is option to change ims setting and we can enable volte through this application and it works very well. But after updating my phone to Android 8.0.0, I again tried to change IMS setting through shortcut master, nova launcher and many more application. But permission denied or some errors occurred.
So it's possible but we just need to give permission to change IMS setting. So if you have solution to change ims setting without root then tell us because in Android 7.0.0 there was no need to root phone for change the IMS setting.

I am using US t-mobile s8+ and when i was on Android 7.0.0 using shortcut master application, there is an option to change ims setting using that we can enable volte through this application and it worked very well. But after updating my phone to Android 8.0.0, I again tried to change IMS setting through shortcut master, nova launcher and many more application. But permission denied or some errors occurred.
So it's possible but we just need to give permission to change IMS setting. So if you have solution to change ims setting without root then tell us because in Android 7.0.0 there was no need to root phone for change the IMS setting

If it's 955F model, you can simply flash 955fd model latest indian firmware.

If you are new to flashing, check youtube videos on how to flash via ODIN (even the page i linked will have instructions.)

Convert the 5g in to an international/global

Hey guys,
Probably will be a bit stupid, but I need to ask!
There's any way to convert or flash a global dual SIM version to the OnePlus 7 Pro 5g? And there is any way to back up this version in case anything goes sideways?
I've learned that the 5g one it's dual SIM on hardware but kind of locked to the carrier...
If I've said anything wrong please let us know. Thank you

Almost. Elisia in Finland has it too. It does not get sold outside of carriers though.

And BTW... 5G version is 5G EU version. There are no other variants so nothing exists to convert to.

My question really was if we can covert it to the international/European one on 4g and leave the 5g on the side till it will have more usability! At the moment if you're not in the right area you can't have 5g network...
So what I want is to back up my actual ROM and try the 4g one, but I can't find something similar... I had a look to the T-Mobile one but I know for a fact it will not work with our ones..
Can help me anyone?

Which region is your note from and which processor does it have?
It is hard to believe that it will work, unless you try it
No, it cannot.
TGY, Processor is SD.
No you cannot flash it with W firmware.
I have the same question. I have the sm-n9750 model and would like to flash a room from north America since both models use the Snapdragon processor.
The only difference would be that the sm-n9750 is dual sim.
Thank you
