note edge unlock code - Note Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a samsung note edge. It was sent me from japan ( au locked). Firstly it had lolipop and i some how managed to unlock it temporarily through Code( #7465625*638*#). Since I uprgaded it to Marshmallow that code seemed to not work now and it is why i am here to ask help me unlock my note edge. I am here in Nepal and professional help is very difficult to get or very expensive. Also online unlocking website payment is also not possible here from nepal in current circumstance.
Now when i Put above code it asks for network unlock code. Now where can i get that network unlock code. please help me Guys.

If you just type in cell Unlocker or smartphone unlock code or carrier unlock cell phone on to Google you should get some good results I have personally used one called "I.done apps" I only used this one because this site offered a specific method for a specific device I had at the time. it worked fine but you might find better prices elsewhere you should be able to get an unlock code for the Note Edge on any one of the major websites that offer cell phone unlock codes they generally also explain to you how to input the code. I can't endorse any one site and I don't work for any of them either but I can definitely tell you that the cell phone unlocking sites that are legitimate sites definitely do work. there's always the chance online of paying for a service that isn't exactly what it seems but if you just read into it a little bit and pick a popular site that has https and secure checkout you shouldn't have any issues. Have a nice day and enjoy the Android scene

Free sim unlock

I'm amazed by the number of people who don't know this...
All US carriers to sell LOCKED handsets are REQUIRED by LAW to provide unlock codes upon request.
All you need to do is call the carrier the handset is locked to hand request the unlock code. They will ask you for the IMEI and provied you with the code. If they give you any heat or static about it, just tell them that you KNOW they are required by law to give you the code.
The only way they can refuse is if the IMEI for the handset is tied to an account that still owes money, but if you purchased at retail pricing and never had an account, or currently have an account in good standing, they cannot refuse.
STOP PAYING FOR SIM UNLOCKING AND CALL THE CARRIER!
I have NEVER paid for a SIM unlocking service and am currently using the latest NRG energy rom on my unlocked AT&T FUZE.
SIM Unlock
I don't think what you're saying is true. I have searched for any trace of a US law requiring SIM unlocks an haven't found one. I did find this on wikipedia:
Singapore is the only country that forbid outright SIM locking and contract/phone bundling.
The US and UK don't have any SIM locking laws, but American and British carriers usually offer unlocking codes voluntarily.
Many countries listed below have some form of simlocking laws specifying the period of simlocking and the cost of obtaining unlocking codes. However their effectiveness may be questioned when we look at the iPhone's worldwide distribution practices. The worldwide launch of the iPhone has definitively shattered numerous myths about whether some country has laws against SIM locking.

I second the OP here. It's true but you can only ask your cell phone provider to unlock a phone you bought from them (and not from a friend or fleebay), you have an active contract in good standing, you are atleast 2-3 months into the contract and so on. Basically if they sold u a locked phone, you can demand an unlock.
It sucks to run the whole nine yards, and then pay the same amount of money for the security unlocker. I really wish Olipro could have a security unlock only service.
If you get your carrier to unlock your phone is that when you can flash a Radio from a different device?

Nope...subsidy unlocking is NOT the same as security unlocking.
actually US carriers are required to give you the subsidary unlock code for your device (excluding iPhone and cdma/gsm hybrids although technically, not offerring it for the iPhone is illegal) but only if you are going out of the country and don't to want to use their service or pay their fees since it does not directly interfere with their service.
ATT will give you the code in a couple days if you lie and say your going away for a week or two.
Also that wikipedia article is wrong because phones in Belguim cannot be opertor locked either. Caused a fiasco with the iPhone.

tmobile has unlocked a few phones for me that i didnt even buy from them

[Q] How to simunlock Samsung Focus

Hi guys,
Whats the best and easiest way to simunlock the At&t samsung focus?
I won this from @benthepcguy from Microsoft, but I live in the Netherlands.
therefor I have no use of a at&t simlocked phone, unless I get it unlocked.
Any ideas?
Well, in the US you could take it to a AT&T store and they'd do it for you. Outside the US, you could try calling AT&T, or your could try calling Samsung directly. I think there are also sites that will sell unlock codes online, which sounds shady but apparently works, and is like $30 or something.
Why don't you tweet Ben stating your problem? He should be able to help you.

Have you test the phone to see if it's already carrier unlocked? I can't imagine why they would give away a phone that's locked to AT&T...
If you're the original owner: Call AT&T and ask the customer rep for unlock code. Use the AT&T phone number listed on your Focus's people hub. They'll ask you for the phone IMEI number.
If you are not the original owner it's unlikely that AT&T will give you unlock code (eg. your phone is locked to another account). Or you can't call them for some other reasons. In that case you can always buy the unlock code from various websites or ebay.
I have used this web site twice (http://www.cellunlocker.net/samsung-unlock.php) to unlock my 2 Focus bought from Craigslist. The unlock code cost about $8 USD each and deliver to your email instantly. Please note: that website is not based in the USA, so my credit card got charged an extra $1 fee.
From what I heard these type of sites pay Samsung/AT&T a fee for special access to their IMEI unlock code database. Either that or they have software that can crack unlock code based on IMEI. I don't know, the codes I bought from them work.
By the way, if you do decided to use that web site make sure you choose AT&T under United State of American as the network that the phone is locked to.

[Q] Need Quick Answer Sim Unlock

I am about to buy an unwanted contract upgrade Z3 but it is locked to another network. If I unlock it would this mean the bootloader is unlocked or not?
I do not want to loose the DRM protected camera features and the sellers network is refusing to give him the unlock code until he has had the phone for 6 (!) months.
The SIM unlock code will not touch the bootloader so your DRM keys will still be intact.

And using one of the paid unlock code services online is possible with the Z3?
I was under the impression that newer phones could not be unlocked this way and had to be rooted.
Root has nothing to do with SIM lock.
Usually the code works the same way whether it is obtained from the operator or a separate online service. However there is normally a delay from when the device is released and when unlock codes from online services become available. So I cannot say if they have them available for the Z3 yet.
As long as you use one of the reputable online services you should be fine as they will only advertise it if it is available.

You can use SIM unlock codes on network locked phones straight from the shop - so no rooting or anything needs to be involved. You just insert a different SIM, then an option should come up to insert the SIM unlock code.
It gets more difficult to find exploits for rooting newer phones without unlocking the bootloader. But that is a separate issue.
Hope that helps.
You are confusing two different things.
If your phone is SIM locked, you'll only be able to use it under whatever company's network it is locked to. It doesn't make a difference whether it's rooted or not or whether the bootloader is unlocked or not.
You can probably unlock the SIM lock through a paid service (IMEI unlocking) although with newer phones is a little harder to find a service that will do it.
Look at several unlocking services (there are many online) to see if they can unlock that phone before you make the purchase.
Brilliant. Thanks for the help!
Anyone care to recommend a good online service to use?
The carrier will do it for free usually. Find someone who currently has a subscription
They said it would be 21 days before they would release the code for some reason. I've used a paid online service although even they ae saying 7 days.

Real delivery time for Sony codes from 3rd party service is 3-7 days. These 3rd party unlock codes come from manufacturer (Sony) and they support all Sony models. No matter if the model is just released etc. If you are using good supplier with history and your phone has at least 2 attempts left to type unlock code (is not hard locked) it's very safe process. Good luck.
Not asking for code
I have a brand new Z3 locked to T-Mobile.
When I insert my own sim, it does'nt ask for unlock code. It also says at the top of the notification bar that the phone is network locked and I can only make emergency calls.
Can you please help me on how to get the phone to ask for an unlock code so that I can enter one and unlock the phone.
Thank you.

Do you have that in your app drawer?.
If you don't go look in the mods n apps section I just posted a link to the app you need. There is no way to make the t-mobile D6616 ask for an unlock code. At least no way I found. T-mobile r jerks.

Unlocking Carrier being outside the Carrier's Country

Ok, I got a review unit of the LG Wing 5G, great device (sadly LG out of business now), it's locked to AT&T, but I'm not in USA.
So far I have tried these:
- Paid the service to unlock with Movical, great service but the code received didn't work, they refunded me.
- Requested the unlock code to AT&T, but I'm not a consumer, I don't have an account on AT&T and also, the phone was never activated in the AT&T network and, because it was a revew device, wasn't "sold", therefore, not manually added to the network, so, no code from them because the third party company who runs the Support on AT&T can't add a device or even see this one.
So, my actual options are:
1 Send back the phone to USA to be activated on AT&T and request the code, sounds easy but it's hard these days and also it depends of someone without any problem on AT&T and with more than 60 days in order to request the code no problem and then send it back here, it's expensive, hard and takes a lot.
2 Paying another service like Movical and pray to have a code that works, but you have only a certain amount of chances to write the right code or it will be locked for good.
3 Doing some kind of unlocking by USB, not sure how it works, someone suggested me that because DoctorSIM does something of that, also, here is a post which I think I can't do because I don't have the Bootloader unlocked (or I don't know how to do it), I really don't know if it might work.
4 Buying a phone in USA and changing the IMEI to mach this one and activate it in USA as I would do in the 1 option.
I would ask some stuff to the community, what are the options you can see viable? is there another you know? to do the 3 & 4, can you point me out in the right direction to perform any of those tasks? can you recommend me a service to unlock it? what do you think of DoctorSIM's option?
some cellphones can be unlock remotely over internet...

Question Boost Carrier locked S22 Ultra Snapdragon USA

I recently purchased an S22 Ultra from swappa for my wife. This phone is not stolen or financed. I've never had an issue getting any carrier to unlock a phone that has been paid off, but apparently Boost Mobile requires that any Boost Mobile carrier locked phone be active on their network for at least a year before they'll release the unlock code, even if the phone is paid off. At this point I have an expensive paperweight. Can anyone point me in a direction to get this phone carrier unlocked without the help of the carrier? I'm fairly comfortable with ADB, Fastboot and ODIN. I'd love any suggestions that anyone may have.

There is no service currently available to unlock carrier locked models. Was it sold as a boost locked model on Swappa and you were expecting to get it unlocked by Calling boost mobile? Return the phone if you have an option.
It was sold properly. I've just never had an issue calling the carrier to get it unlocked. Thank you for your reply. I will see if it can be returned

I think you'll have some luck with some of these vendors because you have an iphone. The problem I'm having is that Samsung just upgraded their bootloader and so these services aren't able to crack the encryption yet. My phone is still locked to Boost at the moment.

I am working with TheUnlockingCompany and was losing faith. They emailed me and said the official Boost policy doesn't effect there ability to unlock. I am still a little wary of that, I bought the phone on FB marketplace so there's almost no recourse. Luckily it wasn't a lot of money invested, truly do not want to switch my number to boost however. There customer support is trash and that policy is a scam.
Did unlocking company tell you why they were unable?
The unlocking company and all of the other companies I checked was unable to unlock my phone because Samsung upgraded their bootloader recently on my phone and they were unable to gain the proper access to my phone in order to remove the network lock. Right now I have an expensive paperweight I'm checking with a company in the UK that claims they can just provide the unlock code for my specific phone. They claim they can take two weeks, but that is my last ditch effort.

The phone doesn't ask for a code when you insert a non Boost SIM, so therefore any service or website claiming to provide a "code" is nothing more than a scam, since you have nowhere to type one in anyways.
There is a way to get it SIM unlocked, but it's not fast or cheap, and you also have to mail the phone off

Carriers have sadly pretty much locked down unlocking methods from the past where they provide and let you enter unlock codes. Now they do it from their server end once you request it. On Samsung phones you do this by going to settings- connections-more connection settings- network unlock- permanent unlock.

Please pardon my ignorance about the topic but I have question. I happened to buy a SM-S908U1 unit via eBay but it turned out to be locked to T-Mobile. The phone asks for an unlock code when I enter a Mint Mobile SIM card which was supposed to be compatible with the phone according to the listing. Can a genuine SM-S908U1 model be locked to a network or my phone was also flashed with U1 firmware?
