[Completed] Need help deleting two threads - XDA Assist

I have two threads here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/help-to-enable-ota-t3456411
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/software-version-t3456367
I want to formulate my question better, but I don't want to make another thread with those two already up.

Hello,
you can edit the thread.

[Q] Please Verify Knowledge of Rooting (Also some rooting Q&A)

Moved to Q&A as requested (Should have know) - Sorry
First of all... move this to the right forums (Q&A). What's with all these people posting it in the development forums?
Second... if you are not too busy, which doesn't seem like from your post, use the search feature and also try the wiki, it might just as well answer your questions.
Sorry
Sorry, my mistake. I thought the Q&A forum was for just general questions about the Hero as where my questions were mostly Android Development related.
Also, I did go through pages and pages of these forums and been through the wiki many times which was how I was able to successfully root and flash my hero. I just want to verify all my knowledge in it's entirety so that I may help other... The post explains this.
I'll move it, thanks for the heads up. Hope no one tl;dr 's it.

help me please!!!

I need to add back the operator's name in the notification bar and notifications. i have android 4.0.4 rom SCV7 but need the operator name in the status bar and notification bar. what file I need to edit? help me please!!
First off, if you have a question regarding a specific ROM please post it in the OP for THAT ROM. Please do not open a new thread. Rdavisct is more likely to see it and help you faster. Also it keeps our forums clutter free.
Now regarding your question:
If you ask nice, you might be able to get rdavisct to make you a quick flashable zip to do what you need. It requires modding of some pretty important files, and I wouldn't recommend you doing it yourself unless you know how.
That being said, ask your question in the proper thread HERE. :good:

He can't post there because he has less than 10 posts.
To the OP, there are several ways to get your post count up so that you can post in the dev section, please search on how to do that. Once you have 10 posts then you can go post your request in the correct thread in the dev section. NEW THREADS FOR THIS TYPE OF THING ARE NOT OK!
Ah gotcha. Thanks Jim. Was unaware of that...

[Q] Where to start a thread about a new phone?

Hi,
I'm wondering where I could start a thread about a new phone that is not in the current list of phones?
E.g. I've got a ZTE STAR1 and it's going to be a nice baby to talk about, similar to the interesting XIAOMI.
thanks for your advices
cheers
Hello @lavive I have two possible answers for what you're trying to explain. You can start a discussion thread for your device in the General Android section. Please search before you start the topic as there may already be an existing thread. If you wish to have a specific sub-forum for your device you can suggest it here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660354

[Completed] correct subject to post questions for TWRP install questions

I was able to root my my new lg g2 (verizon) with the ioroot but I have searched and searched but couldn't find an answer why the loki_flash returns aboot does not match for my device. I have the img files since it states to do img files before using the zipped files. I need to find out where to post this question as I have tried 3 different ways with no answer.
Secondly - new question - where can I find information on installing the AutoRec.apk to try to complete the same thing? This is my first root and I have read a lot and searched a lot but I must be missing the correct post to read through. Thanks in advance...
I could be wrong but it seems like you are referring to a specific thread to which you can't post yet. An Ideal way to get quick and accurate answer is to post in this Q&A forum instead.
In order to make the 10 posts to meet the criteria of the Development forums, here's little guide.

Loads of information throughout the site. Please use the search box.
Here are two to get you on your way.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/guide-bootloader-unlock-twrp-install-t3940368
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/android-q-4th-developer-preview-t3953997
Just some friendly advice, as you appear to be new to the forum:
1) As per the previous comment, the xda search function is your friend. Always search before making new threads. A question as common as "How do I root this phone" has certainly been asked dozens (or more) times and answered just as many times. No need to clutter up the forum with a new post on such a common topic. If everyone wondering how to root made a new thread to ask that question, this forum would become a useless mess.
I know the amount of info on this forum can be overwhelming to sift through. But there are also some very handy resource threads "sticky" at the top of the forums, such as this "index" thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...pro-roms-kernels-recoverys-firmwares-t3931126
2) Along the lines of the "sticky" threads, you should have tread this one "Please red before posting": https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/how-to/thread-t3333345
Question like yours belongs in Q&A section. Do NOT make a new thread, I'll ask the mods to have this thread moved to the proper section.
Welcome to the forum, and good luck with your rooting endeavors.
