[Ask to fix] Save contact on local on my Z5 (E6653) - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello. Since I upgrade to Android 6 I'm not able to save new contact on local on my Z5. I can only create new contact on my Google account. On stock contact app I haven't choice between local and Google account. And I can't see local when I go to the filter menu.
So I have my old local contact that I create before upgrade. That good.
Why ?
- I restored semccontactsprovider.apk from my folder system. Not solved.
- I tried to clear cache and data from contact app. Not solved.
- I installed Xperia X Phonebook apk and Xperia X Contact apk for manual upgrade too. Not solved.
I want to save my futur contact on my Z5 not my Google account. That this only my problem on Android 6.
Please help guys.

No ideas ?!

Try clean your device with some apps like: 1 tap cleaner pro, SD Maid pro...in Play Store. It's solved your problem.
Database full, cannot save contacts.
Even I faced the same problem in Huawei Ascend Y200. Frequently it used to show memory full for messages and no new incoming messages.
Also the database full and Contacts cannot be saved when i had only 17 contacts in my phone memory. So browsed several sites and found a temporary solution. It goes like this :
Go to settings => Applications => manage applications => google playstore => uninstall updates.
I got a bit releived by this. You wont get full solution but a temporary relief.

[Completed] How to read .vef file ??

I had HTC One M7 and my contacts were in phone memory, i exported the contacts but it created a .vef file which is password encrypted instead of .vcf file.
Goolgle contacts doesn't read .vef file and i have Nexus 6p now and i am unable to import contacts.
Please help to convert .vef file to .vcf file or anyway to read the file. I have lost all my contacts and really struggling to get it back.

Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
This was one of the responses given a while ago that may help you solve your issue:
As far as I know you can use a .vef file to import contacts to your Google account using your PC. Open the contacts section of your Google account on a desktop browser and you'll see the import contacts option at the bottom of the left sidebar.
Once you've done that just sync your Google contacts on any of your Android devices and your contacts will appear. And in future make sure you save new contacts as a Google contact instead of on your phone memory, it makes things a lot easier.

[Completed] Contact Data getting deleted

I purchased a Moto G4 mobile phone from Amazon about 2 months ago. At the time of purchase, I already had Airtel connection. In addition, I also got R Jio connection, which I am using for Whatsup & Browsing.
I have been noticing that on day to day basis, one or the other contact details is getting automatically deleted. I imported all details from Gmail a/c. Later someone suggested that the deletion is happening because of sync with Gmail. Hence, I delinked it. Even then, this problem continues.
Just at the time of requirement, when I want to call a person Or send an SMS Or whatsup, I notice there are no details. It is becoming difficult.
I have written to Google also and no response.
Awaiting an earliest solution.
Thanks,

Hi there and welcome to assist,
Try this...
1. Make a full backup of your contacts. To backup your contacts use any third party app from the PlayStore. I recommend using [SMS Backup & Restore] by Ritesh Sahu.
2. Make sure you have only one main Google account syncing. If you have any other Gmail account go to settings > Accounts > click on the other accounts and remove it for now.
3. Go to settings > backup and reset > uncheck Backup my data (this will erase all of ur backups on Google servers).
4. Restart your phone and restore you contacts using SMS Backup & Restore.
5. Go to settings again > Accounts > Google > here you should see your Gmail account. On top right corner click on the three dots > Sync now. Wait until it finish syncing.
6. You can now re-enable Backup my data. Settings > Backup & Reset > Check Backup my data.
7. Re add your other Gmail accounts.
If this method didn't work try to disable the Google Contacts Sync service with Startup Manager .
You'll have to create an account to post in the main forums if you have any other questions.

Contacts are multiplyed after update XZ2 Compact to pie

After the update to pie my local telephoncontacts are multiplied.
I have make an backup before and I have succsessfully restored all contacts from there ( after I delete all by hand).
I think!! the multiplyer is the number of onlineaccounts. I have 4 accounts on the phone that can have contacts, but I use none of them. I store all local on the phone.
After the update I have all contacts 4 times - and linked. If I edit on contact, the epp asks me wich of the contact I want.
All have the same content.
restore and done.

[WhatsApp (Dual)] How to move dual WhatsApp from Samsung to Xiaomi?

Hello!
I want to transfer two WhatsApp accounts (personal and work – each tied to a separate phone number) from my old Samsung S9 to the new Xiaomi 12 (MIUI 13) along with backed up chats and media. Samsung had the Dual Messengers feature which worked great.
With the first account, the transfer went smoothly:
- On Samsung I made a backup of the first WhatsApp account to my first Google account on Google Drive
- Installed WhatsApp on Xiaomi
- Restored data on primary WhatsApp from Google Drive without a problem
Not so good with the second account:
- On the old phone I made a backup of the second WhatsApp account to the second Google account on Google Drive
- Created dual WhatsApp on Xiaomi
- During the initial initialization, the dual WhatsApp on Xiaomi prompted me to restore from the first (!) Google account. I have a second Google account on the phone, but it is impossible to select it to restore data in dual WhatsApp itself.
I tried to set the second Google account as the main in Google Play, but it did not help. Maybe there are other places in MIUI 13 where I need to change the first Google account to the second?
What else can be done? How can I restore data to dual WhatsApp from the second Google account? Maybe I can transfer the data manually? (Though it is not clear where the data of the dual WhatsApp in Samsung is located and where it should be put in dual WhatsApp in Xiaomi).
Thank you all for your help!
Hi
Could you solve it in any way?
