Google's ADT-1 Power/Dev cable - General Questions and Answers

I'm looking for the pinout to make a dev cable or if someone is selling one please let me know.

i'm looking also for pinout of this cable
wondering whether i can use uc-e6 cable with pinout below?
http://pinoutguide.com/DigitalCameras/nikon_uc-e6_pinout.shtml

Looking for the pinout of the dev cable as well... I have one of these and plan to start building LOS for it. I came up with the UC E6 as well but according to Wikipedia it's "non-USB" so makes me wonder if they're using a different pinout.

it has been a while since this got asked but here is the actual pinout for the connector https://github.com/Stricted/adt1-pinout
you can find the plugs on ebay with the search term "Mini USB 8Pin"
enjoy, have fun

Cable for TV-out

Hi,
I've recently brought a Raphael and await it to arrive tomorrow...
Anyway, browsing the web I found the following cable and some info that this phone supports TV-out. Anyone familiar with this and knows if this cable could work with this phone? How's the movie-playback quality with TV-out?
Cable:

You shouldn't even have to buy that cable, though it is nice find. Yes it supports tv out you just have to buy a Video Ipod cable for something like 3 bucks and use the usb adapter that should come with the phone. You will also have to look around for a cab that will perform a register change to allow it to work.
Welcome to the world of the Rapheal now learn to earch the board for easy answers like this. It makes it easier for erybody.
Thanks for your reply.
I've heard about the iPod cable "hack", but my question is concerning this particular cable... and since I didn't find any information about it (through a search) I thought I could make a new post...
Anyway, thanks
that doesnt look like it uses htc's video out pins. i really doubt it would work. the "hack" is just to change state in the registry with the ipod cable to launch the tv easy program selecting thingy since the ipod cable doesnt change the system state settings. it still works without it. i would look on amazon for the ipod video cable because last time i looked it was for under $1, and also confirmed working. i think that cable you linked is for specific digital cameras that support video out over standard 5pin mini usb. htc has extra pins (the 5 data and 6 extra i believe, video and left and right audio like rca cables) and a trapezoidal plug to distinguish extusb.
What about the cable that's Mini USB on one end, and RED/WHITE/YELLOW for standard tv out on the other end? I've seen em online for sale. Wouldn't that be simpler?
You can be the first to try it and report back. My guess would be that HTC used different pins with in the usb plug.
I've brought the cable mentioned, I'll report back once I have it
tv out
Ok not sure as to what hack your referring to but i think this is it right here.
Nue made a program that does exactly what is mentioned above as far as the ipod cable or any other but here read for your self

Micro USB Hard wire kits.

Does anybody know where to buy hard wire kits to install a micro USB charger into your car? All I have found on them so far is something like this:
http://www.buybits.com/product/sku_6137.aspx
Only problem is everything I can find is in the UK. I am trying to find something state side. Does anybody know where I can get some?

You could pick up one of the 12volt ciggarette adapters that plug into normal socket and have a standard usb port that provides 5 volts. Take it apart, add an inline fuse (if it doesn't already have one) and wire that into any 12 volt source and mount the usb port wherever you want (or chop and attach a mini usb cable and leave the cable hanging wherever you want).
I've found those for under $10.00 in the states and have done this identical mod before (for something else, but same idea).

FYI, the 500ma spec of that unit is not sufficient to power and charge many modern smartphones, including the N1.
You are better of fabbing your own solution from a microusb car charger rated at [email protected] or better.
Charger lead -- this?
How about http://buybits.com/product/7441.aspx that seems to be what you're after but then all you need is a micro adaptor.
They might even do one.
Steve
you could DIY it?
grab a 12v 1amp car adaptor, take it apart, find a suitable box from your nearest maplins (radioshack = USA equiv?) and fit the electrics into the box.
replace the fused side of the 12v adaptor with a fuse, wire and 2x ring terminals to your battery.
since it has standard USB, your free to use anything you wish.
i've done things slightly differently, i got a 4-way 12v accessory unit, and hard-wired that into the car. (http://www.towsure.com/product/4_Way_Cigar_Lighter_Socket_Adaptor). that you way you charge multiple devices..

[Q] A Hardware Question - Anyone know about these USB cables?

http://i.imgur.com/2Bsal.jpg
That is a picture of the AC Adapter that came with my HTC Touch Pro. The cable was nice and flat, very easy to put away and pull out. It is a Mini-USB, and all new phones are Micro-USB, but I can't find a new version of that cable.
Does anyone know where I could find one? Either in AC form or just regular cable form. The retractable one in my car is shaped like that, but I can't find any on my own, so I look to my friends at XDA for help.

[Q] DIY USB Cable?

Does any one know what the pinout/components of the USB kit are? I want usb otg but I would rather have a dock cable with a usb female connection rather than the bulky oem usb kit. I'm thinking of just buying a dock cable and a female usb connector. I am assuming that there is some resistor there that signifies the USB Cable. Any ideas?

Glad someone else is itching for home made cables too. Already got the iron on standby ready to go. After a bunch of link hopping and thread reading, here's the most useful info I've found so far...

I looked at it but I didn't see anything useful. I could use info on the internals of the USB kit. Was there something I missed?
(I awaiting my new multimeter and then I'll order a new soldering iron)
Once all the needed pins are IDed it should be easy to order the plugs and make your own cables for pennies on the dollar or start work on an OTG or other cables.

If anyone is interested, I found the 40-pin connector that is used on the OEM USB cable:

What is the best USB-C extension cable (e.g. Male to female cable)?

I have heard that one has to be careful when purchasing USB-C cables as poor ones can damage your device.
There is a website (bensonapproved . com) and a well known spreadsheet that lists the best cables. However, there are no USB-C extension cables listed (e.g. male to female).
Where can I find the best one? Ideally I am looking for a cable that is sold on Amazon-UK, but I don't mind going elsewhere to get a quality cable. Amazon sell one by "Cable Creations". However, some of their products are rated both good and bad on the spreadsheet.
I would like to purchase a USB-C extension cable to connect a Nintendo Switch to its dock. I know I can just slide the Switch into the dock, but for the way my TV cabinet is set up, a cable would make things much easier. I've tried asking on Nintendo forums but have had no replies, so I hope someone here can help. Thanks!
