I know this notes unification app (which debuted on the Note 7) will be available in the future for other Galaxy models but is it possible to port this across to the Note5 meantime?
Maybe in this tread can you find what you looking for.

Have you tried it (& is it the Samsung Notes app from Note 7)?
Sorry but installation instructions were not clear - Which folder do I replace the APK in (I'm rooted)? Thanks.
No. I have not tried.
My Note is not rooted, sorry.

Some Android ROMS shipped from Rogers and Fido support CNAP Name Displau,
Galaxy Nexus Rogers and Fido Rom does not support it.
HOW Codename Rom is supporting it for the Galaxy Nexus, how where they able to implement it?
i was reading the Codename changelog and it says :
Add support for Caller Name Display - kenshin
==========================
and i found the following:
http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,11168
but i have no idea, can someone put or guide us how to make this feature available to any Android ROM?
Thanks
I am interested to know this too.
Rogers HTC One X works but International Quad core doesn't
I enabled it for Galaxy Nexus. Guide is here http://www.flawless.me
It is very simple to make it for any rom.

I just switched to Nexus 5 from an iPhone and was surprised to find that Name Display doesn't work on Android and the link you provided is dead. Is it possible for you to post a guide to how you enabled this?

Guys anything on this at all? I'm on nexus 5 too and desperately need this. Someone must know
This is the hancom suite of applications included with the new Samsung galaxy tabs. The package includes the following
Hword
Hshow
Hcell
The package should work on any android device running android 4.1.2 and above(including kitkat). Personally i find this the best mobile office application suite for android and works extremely well if your device is a tablet with a keyboard/dock.
Instructions
1. Download the zip file below and extract it (DO NOT FLASH!!!)
2. install all apk files inside as usual
3. Profit, enjoy the apps
F.A.Q
1. Does it work with ART?
Yes
2. Will it work with my particular device?
IDK try it and see for yourself
3. It doesnt fit the display correctly?
thats because it was made with tablets in mind

Haha I totally understand your concern, I got these from the system dump of the samsung galaxy note pro tab. And thank you for the suggestion of moving the thread any idea of how I can do that I'm still kind of a noob lol
Sorry, but for most people this would be a paid app, so it can not be provided for free.
I have recently purchased Samsung Galaxy Core 8262 without understanding that this phone doesnot support Multi-Window feature. Whever I open any website and if I want to read/edit any doc, I have to close my browser and then go through the doc. Please suggest if I would be able to download any apps that can enable multi-window option in my phone Or Do i need to purcahse a new one

Buy a new one!
You did a big mistake. Core doesn't have CyanogenMod, No ROM(all are stock based useless ROMs) No MultiWindow(though you will get one in threads but it is buggy and is of no use and you won't get the true feeling of MultiWindow with that and you will end up uninstalling it).

RecentlyI installed Kali on Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N8000 10.1, I started using airmon-ng but I am not able to get the monitor mode working.
I always get this error:

Is there any pre-made kernel for this device that includes the drivers for wireless chip?
would be nice if someone already done that.
Try the Question and Answers forum section .

Thanks,

Have you looked at the appropriate channel for the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 inch? There's also the search utility.

Yes I've been searching everywhere, here, google youtube etc and it seems there are no updated OS ROMS for that tablet.
Guess I'll just use it as an ereader.
The most recent for this particular model is 4.4 however you could always port from a similar “maintained” rom or manually compile.
There is an abundance of tutorials, pictures, and videos available to show you how.
Alternatively, you could try out PostmarketOS. Considering testing it out myself.
