[Q] airmon-ng error with galaxy note 10.1 - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
First, Sorry if this is not the right place to post this.
RecentlyI installed Kali on Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N8000 10.1, I started using airmon-ng but I am not able to get the monitor mode working.
I always get this error:
mon0: Error while getting Interface flags:no such device.
How can I fix this.
Thanks

Is there any pre-made kernel for this device that includes the drivers for wireless chip?
would be nice if someone already done that.

Try the Question and Answers forum section .

[Q] I want to build CyanogenMod 10 for my Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330 myself. Help!

Okay so I've bought a samsung galaxy chat B5330 device back in feb'2013. Don't ask me why cause I conciously bought it. So I realised after searching for 6 months that there is no interest of developers in this device. so I have taken up the initiative to 1) Build CM 10, 2) Port CWM, 3) Root the device myself. However I don't have much idea about building android. I've rooted and flashed Custom recovery n ROMs to my dad's phone before and I'm a geek so I learn things quickly about computers n phones. So I'm nor a complete newbie neither a Master developer. Therefore I need help of those devlopers who will be kind enough not to discourage me. Anyone can root a device which is more popular because it gets vulnarable too quickly so there is no point in telling me that "you should have bought a device which has developer support". I am interested to be a developer myself n that challenge is really so tempting to me. So here are my questions which I don't have exact idea about.
1) I have a computer of the config -> AMD fx 6100 hexacore buldozer 3.3 GHz/4 GB RAM/500 GB HDD/Windows7(32) & Ubnuntu 13.04(64). Can I do the job of building roms from the source with this config in the first place?
2) Does galaxy chat B5330 support 'fastboot'? if yes then How can I boot into fastboot mode? I've tried with adb 'reboot-bootloader' but the device just restarted normally. So I don't know How can I get into the fastboot mode?
3) CM developers are really kind enough that they have put alot effort into making the wiki. I've got precious informations about building android from source and all. But I have a confusion. There was mentioned fastboot is necessery for building CM. So if my phone does not have fastboot should it mean that I can't build CM for my device at all?
4) How much data do I have to download? Do I need to be connected to the internet always while editing local file? n If I use 'repo sync' to update the code always won't my editings get overwritten by stock code again?
so these are few basic questions I have for now. I know I might not get any response at all. But there's no harm in trying. thanks

The best way to start is to use another Rom as base (get permission first) then start tweaking it with scripts, apps and build.prop tweaks. Once you start to get familiar with the basics, start experimenting with different tweaks. Since you are going to create a Cyanogenmod 10 Rom from scratch, I give you best of luck and hope many people will use it!
FINALLY!

Ok, let's do this.
Now we need to find a device similar to note 3 in architecture with Cm port already done. After that we should examine and compare the boot and recovery images of note 3 and said device for the requisites. S4 can be a pretty good base for the purpose. Remember, this step is crucial to get boot.
I'm busy for tomorrow. I will setup the environment day after tomm. and examine the images myself.

We would be needing a kernel developer. Try to find one. I did a rough port of S4's Cm11 but the device is bootlooping. That is expected as the kernel i'm using is stock one.

Root Nexus 6 (Very Simple, Requires Windows PC)

The Nexus 6 and Lollipop in general isn't exactly easy to root. Thanks to the new tool I've made, you can root it, install busybox, and for the more advanced users, install TWRP on your Nexus 6. Just download the file below, decompress it, and open root-n6.bat to start the rooting process!

That will be great. And if possible and you do have time, maybe you can consider to provide support for other more devices from SAMSUNG, SONY, HTC and others because I believe the demand for rooting Android L ROM will become more and more strong, and if you can setup a guid for those people, I believe this thread will become very popular. Just a suggestion. Thanks.
I'll try that. Thanks for the suggestions!

Can I port Kali NetHunter on OnePlus 6 manualy? Yes? -> How?

Hello. I have rooted OnePlus 6 and I'd like to install Kali NetHunter. I tried to install it via Magisk and..... nothing, most of all functions wont work. Afterwards I learned that Kali NetHunter doesn't support my device and I have to build it from my phones kernel.... somehow. Please help.

[TWRP][HOW-TO]Samsung Galaxy A31 SM-A315G

Hello everyone! I have owned this phone for going on 9 months now and I have had it rooted ever since I bought my SM-A315G but have tried countless times to port TWRP or just compile it myself. The outcome is inevitably failure... So I am reaching out to the world for help and any help that is received would be a blessing
Also when setting up the BoardConfig.mk file, how do you get the amounts for the variables BOARD_SUPER_PARTITION_SIZE, BOARD_GOOGLE_DYNAMIC_PARTITIONS_SIZE, BOARD_SUPER_PARTITION_ERROR_LIMIT?!?! I am lost!!

those thing are optional .. this is what happen if you follow a compiling guide from one source ...
i recommend compiling TWRP without changing parameter just to make sure you have properly setup your working directory

compiling TWRP from source is basically 50% installing TWRP system depedencies 50% reading stack overflow troubleshooting guide
you need to familiarize your self with terminal command like mkdir,ls,apt-get ..etc
