[Completed] [HELP] me create Android 6.0 or 7.0 ROM for Getnord Onyx - XDA Assist

Many of you probably never heard of such device. GETNORD ONYX
It's a first (as far as I know) lithuanian android device. Mine specifically only runs 4.4.4 version of android, and when I contacted the developers for information, they said, that there won't be any updates coming to it, EVER. Reason being that the never version of this phone has different navigation button layout... Bummer.
What else:
This phone doesn't have anything done to it before on the internet, so I would have to port new ROM from scratch (kinda).
I tried asking devs for kernel source code couple of days ago, but they haven't replied yet (guess they never will).
I couldn't find a similar device (due to lack of knowledge of hardware inside the device, only the basic stuff you get in brochures).
So, is it even possible to port Marshmallow or Nougat (whichever might be easier) for this device, if yes: could you guys post links to threads and guides explaining required procedures (for completely unsupported device). At least a way to extract as much information from this device.
So far what I found:

[Completed] Samsung S7390

Hi All,
I'm Jack Droid and I'm a new member.
I have a Samsung Smartphone model S7390.
Surfing into the internet, I understood that the android development for this device is not so interesting.
Maybe because that device is not so appreciated but anyway, I have this model!
Moreover, I did the root and I found an CWM recovery that it's ok for it but what I have never found, is a custom rom.
My question is : do you know if exist a device that could be very similar to Trend Lite S7390 so that I can use a rom for that and try to flash into my device ?
Many thansk for your attention and waiting for your kind reply.
All the best
Max
You are right there isn't much development on this device. You may wish to pose a question in Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and one of the experts will respond if there is a Rom.
I will also provide advice from my colleague @demkantor. It is very rare that you can flash a ROM meant for one device to another, for the most part you can never do this and attempting can lead to a brick.

Hi Perseus71,
many many thanks for your kind reply!
Considering the situation of development on my device,I'm already lucky to have found a CF Root and a CWM recovery that working well !
Anyway, I would like to try a custom rom because I like to try new solution and find better perfomance as possible!
Moreover, I found inf into the web but I didn't find a device that was the same as mine,
The only quite similar is S5820 that has good development but it is dual core cpu if I remember well...
You are better helped by specific experts if you post the question on the forum I linked.

[Completed] Quadro T-D7048BV tablet - custom ROM?

Hi,
I have flashed custom ROMs on my HTC Desire, my HTC One, Samsung Galaxy ACE, ... But all of them had plenty of resources... I've got this tablet (it came free with a TV) and I can't find any info on it anywhere.
It's extremely sluggish and bloated (there's three system browsers - Android Browser, Chrome and Opera ) so I was thinking I'd find a vanilla ROM or a better ROM, but I can't find any info and I don't know how I would go about flashing since I can't find a ROM designed for this particular device, nor can I find a recovery for this specific device. Since there's no subforum for this device, I've come here to ask where to ask this question first and hopefully eventually get to an answer...

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist and as you have discovered, there is no forum specifically for the Quadro T-D7048BV at this time. However, you may want to ask your question with all relevant details in the friendly general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help. That's a good place to start where members familiar with your device might be able to advise you. Since your device is relatively uncommon, please be patient and give the experts plenty of time to respond.
Good luck!
Thank you Mike, I'll post there.

[Completed] AOSP based rom compiling for specific devices

I am basically a noob when it comes to building/compiling. I basically want to know if it would be possible to create an OS for my phone based on AOSP without too much work.
Total noob idea; maybe combining a zip from a custom rom/ normal firmware, and the AOSP code?

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist and since you forgot to mention which device you have in mind, I can't point you towards a device-specific area. That said, there are some thread such as the one at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2483143 that night be good starting places for your quest, as well as several articles in our "XDA University" at http://xda-university.com such as the guide at http://xda-university.com/as-a-developer/porting-aosp-roms-using-source-code. Not all data there is always up-to-date but it covers a wealth of information in one convenient place.
Good luck!
Sorry, I was thinking of doing so for my Samsung galaxy xcover 2
I was also considering creating a rom based on the source code if this sould help in directing me?

[Completed] How to flash.... L33L

Hi,
I am new to the concept of flashing my L33L (Sunset LTE version from LG). I want to move out of the version installed on the phone allowing me to use other networks. I tried to google and search for this but to no avail. I also tried to check for steps or ideas to do this on xda . If I have not done a complete search or have to post in a different forum, I would be glad to know. If there is nothing wrong there, I would like to have some helpful material to flash.
1) What are the compatible firmware for my phone(L33L) to move out of the current state of lock ?
2) What are the flash tools available to do the unlocking / firmware flash on the phone (L33L) ?
3) Are there two different s/w & tools to perform unlocking & flashing for L33L?
4) Finally, a pointer to the set of steps to do this would be helpful. I might have gone through the ones available in google but would like to know it again to confirm .
Phone details
Android version 5.0.1
Baseband version MPSS.DPM.2.0.C11-00005-M8936FAAAANUZM-1.21364.1
Kernel Version - 3.10.49
Build Number - LRX21Y
s/w version : L33L11a

[Completed] [Q] Planning to start building my own ROM, a cry for help (Samsung G. Grand Prime VE)

Firstly, happy new year to everyone c:
As the title says, I'm considering making my own ROM for the SM-G731F.
I've lurked around XDA for quite a while now and I can't seem to find a guide that's able to clarify the process for me.
So I decided to make a post here,
The ROM I want to make should be something as close to AOSP as possible (for what I've seen, no Cyanogen or ROMs alike are available, so..), but my programming skills are lacking.
Even with guides about building or porting ROMs I haven't yet figured out where to start.
So here come a few questions:
1. Can I build a AOSP ROM for my Samsung device (AFAIK I need some base ROM right?)
2. Assuming that porting is not an option, is building a ROM from scratch a viable way to do this? (Even though my programming skills are close to none I've had some experience with C and I'm willing to put in the effort)
3. What will be the main challenges to this?
Cheers,
