My galaxy s5 is from a claro carrier, thenphone is not unlocked. The phone was stuck at 4.4.2 because the update never was released for it. I installed the 6.0.1 updated from a carrier of canada for the same model except that the basesand version wasnt the same. The phone is running fine can make and receive calls except that the mobile data is not working. Any suggestions?

First of all my galaxy S4 international version suddenly stopped reading or accessing the cellular network after updating from 4.2.2 to 4.3.
Note that: I bought my mobile from Kuwait and i am currently relocated to Egypt.
I heard about the Regional locking samsung did but i don't know if this is the issue or what?
So if you could help me to revert/downgrade back to 4.2.2 to get rid of this new feature samsung added to the new 4.3?!
btw I am currently on cyanogenmod 10.2
please any help would be appreciated.

The ragional locking should be mentioned on device's original box.
Are you unable to make/receive calls, or getting 'network unavailable' message?
If true- try to flash stock rom available for your country in sammobile etc.
If not- try to reconfigure your APN settings depending on your carrier,
Or try to find appropriate flashable modem in I9505 thread

I have a Samsung Galaxy A300FU UK Version which has come from EE Network. I wanted to know how i can download the factory version of Android Lollipop because Lollipop has not arrived yet on the EE network. I have also unlocked my device so i can use it on any network. Also to download and install with odin, what would be the process of doing that and would i need to root my device. Also would it affect my warranty.
Device is currently running on Android 4.4 KitKat. Sim-Free versions have already been updated however some carrier variants have not. I also did not want the carrier bloatware.

So I followed the instructions here and was able to get my phone working on At&t network. But I have a question about the upgrade. I was just sent Lollipop. Do I even bother doing it? Will it stop my phone from working on At&t network since it was a sprint phone. Im new to alot of this.

i check the imei back then and it was clean even though i coudn't activate it.
still i used SSU to unlock the sim on 4.4.2
i wanted today to update to the 5.0 version i checked the imei again just by luck and i found it Blacklisted --
my question is if i update to 5.0 will i still use it or will it get blocked and will i be able to use the sim
i live outside the US.
