My S7 will not let me change the email sync times. I've tried to change it from every 15 minutes to once a day, and it just stays at every 15 minutes. Any help would be greatly appreciated
This may sound silly, but did you press the sync toggle in the drop down menu?

Any ideas how to set up a profile (like I have for the Exchange sync) so that I don't get my phone waking me up in the middle of the night every time it automatically checks my POP3 e-mail.
Sure, I could set it to silent, but then my alarm doesn't go off kin the morning.
Sure, I could sync POP3 e-mail manually, but that's a pain in the arse during the day.
I can set my Exchange sync to only work between certain hours, why not POP3?
bump...just this once.
Not really an answer to the problem but i am usng SPB Time for my alarm functions and that overrides the silent setting and has nice big Off and Snooze buttons as well..
Like your thinking deedee...
I use Profiles for Windows, which can be found here...
http://www.winmobileapps.com/device/pocketpc/pwm/pwm.aspx
I have a number of profiles that switch time through the day and then at night it switches the phone off, then switches it back on at 5:30 in the morning.
Works seemlessly - most of the time.
Searching for this did not bring up anything useful, so I try to ask here. Hope this is the right forum.
I use the agenda alarms a lot, for everything, from "Budget meeting" to "buy milk" to "Phone Tom". But often I am far enough from my phone to miss the alarm sound, even if loud.
You know, if you then turn on the phone from standby, you find the appointment on screen, and you also have the possibility to repeat the alarm (5 minutes later I think) pressing the lower left button.
But if I do not turn on the phone because I don't need it, and don't remember that I have something to do... the appointment may be missed.
I wish to have a way to set an automatic repeat of every Agenda alarm, every 2-3 minutes, until I turn it off.
Someone knows a way, or an app ?
Thank you!

Some app has decided it needs to sound an alarm at :54 past each hour. It does not leave a notice in the system tray and I cannot figure out which app is doing it. It is the same as my incoming text alarm and because I am on call I cannot turn the sound off when I go to sleep. Any thoughts on how I might track down the culprit? Thanks
If you can't identify it with battery monitoring, then the only way is to disable apps 1 or 2 at a time until you find the culprit. Unfortunately this could take time since you have to wait until the time is up.
Thanks for the response. The confusing part was that it did it at the same time every hour. However, I did finally figure out that it was an account attached to Gmail that needed its password updated. It was scheduled to check the email account hourly!!
CyanogenMod13.0-ZNH0EAS2JK.
After latest (snapshot?) update I don't get vibrating notifications from specific emails, which I set up previously
and were working correct. Also, no vibrating alarms from a 3rd party program "Alarm Clock", which was working fine
as well.
This is happens overnight, or after long time of inactivity. If I pickup the phone, and press the power button to switch
on the screen, all the email notifications and vibrations suddenly start showing up and vibrating.
That doesn't happen after short period of inactivity (1-5 minutes, didn't test longer).
Appreciate any help, thank you.
I have issue with calendar reminders keeping screen on. I get reminder on the lock screen( not using always on display) for a calendar event and it would go away after what ever screen timeout setting is, then it comes right back. It would repeat this forever until calendar reminder event is dismissed.
I ask another guy at work and he is getting the same with "always on" enabled .
Anybody know how to fix this? I would expect that android would honor timeout setting and put phone to sleep after 1st reminder.
Thanks
ps I'm running nougat on Verizon
Can somebody replicate this for me? Set screen timeout for 15 seconds. Set up a meeting in google calendar with starting in 7 minutes and reminder 5 minutes before meeting. Then wait for reminder on lock screen to pop up, don't touch anything and let screen timeout. See if screen will get activated again and go off after 2nd screen timeout.
If you get the same behavior, please report. I think there is something wrong with this as if you had a meeting reminder and the phone in you pocket, the phone battery will drain fast and phone gets hot of course.
Thanks
im having the same issues with my s7e. phone calls dont go allow the screen to go off either.
I have the same problem. This started only recently for me on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with AT&T. The screen will keep coming back on with the notification every 5 seconds and the battery getting drained.
Somehow it appears that this is related to my Samsung Pay account but I can't figure out how/why.
