Is there any app for tab which makes Admin/user accounts, so kids can be safe & restricted to their user account & privileges.
I am planning to buy a tab for my kid, on my phone they mess up by opening non related apps & setting changes like enabling /disabling wifi bluetooth & many other settings.
I found an app called kids place (actually its a launcher) which restricts the kids to an extent but was looking for a better option with proper control as admin has on computer.
kids place actually restricts them from the tablet interface all together, that not what I want. Interface should be available to them but they should be restricted to certain privileges, they should not be able to change settings & use apps which are not assigned to them.
if you get an tab that has jellybean, you can create 2 accounts with terminal emulator. with other account you cant change settings, atleast the more sensitive ones. you can hide apps etc

Tab2 as of now is being shipped with ICE 4.x.x version not sure if samsung will upgrade it to jellybean.
Only google nexus 7 tab is being shipped with jellybean which is already overbooked, I would have to wait for months getting that.

Rumor has it the Tab 2 will be getting JB within the next 2 weeks.

That would be awesome if that is true but meanwhile I found what I was looking for the app already exist but I never came across earlier neither in play store nor at xda saw anyone discussing it.

That is good to know I can wait 2 weeks if that is happening or can buy now & update later.
I replaced my Galaxy Ace 1 with Galaxy Ace 2 i8160 phone. Mainly I wanted interface to work faster and more internal RAM and storage. Ace 2 got all of that but is lacking few features that I did not see mentioned in reviews.
1 - When phone rings or when I dial a number I used to see what type of phone it is (home, work, mobile). Now it does not show. I've tried to google this problem and possible solutions but I did not find any. Is this samsung's GUI feature or Android's in general?
2 - When phone conversation is over Ace 1 used to just exit. Ace 2 is giving you few options of what to do next - I hate this time wasting 'feature'. Can this be disabled? Is this samsung's GUI feature or Android's in general?
Does ICS have 'features' described above as well?
4 - backdoor of the Ace 2 is very slippery. I like the battery door of Ace 1 much more.
p.s. my first post here. Posting here as I did not find any other Ace 2 i8160 thread. And I can't post (and probably should not) in dev forum because of the newbie status.
Throw the phone in the garbage and continue using the ace 1.

I'm not familiar with windows anymore I left that platform 4 years ago and been using android since well I was gonna get the galaxy tab pro 8.4 but since it doesn't have lte its not worth it since tablets is all I use I don't need phones so I'd rather get a lenovo think pad 8 and play Games like skyrim I know these forums are all about android but I've noticed there is some threads about windows devices so thought I might ask thx
Well I guess IMA sell my nexus 7 2013 and get the galaxy tab 3 since windows is obviously still lame lol and galaxy tab 3 seems to have more features plus lte plus I think it has calling capabilities so it blows the nexus 7 2013 away

1 - I keep reading android pay will be in the UK in 2016. Per chance has anyone heard any more specific date periods mentioned?
2 - for my Americano cousins over the water, I am curious as to how you authenticate your payments? I have the s4 mini and find myself intrigued as to the lack of finger print reader, would you have to put a pin in frequently?

Hi, I have just purchased a new Galaxy Note 10, for years I have been using a rooted Galaxy Note 4, my question is can I directly transfer all my apps and the app data from the rooted Note 4 to the unrooted Note 10 and if so how, any help appreciated? Phil
I do not recommend you to do that,
note 4 is too old, you will be transfer all the crap from your old phone,
the best way to a have fully function device is starting fresh, otherwise your battery will be not good as starting fresh.
