Factory Nexus 5 ROM images question - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I can't seem to find a post that details what these correspond to next to the image download links, I am guessing they are just various codes to differentiate the updates. I didn't want to download the wrong one if it was for different hardware versions or something.
6.0.1 (MMB29S)
6.0.1 (MMB29Q)
6.0.1 (MMB29V)
6.0.1 (MMB29X)
6.0.1 (MOB30D)
6.0.1 (MOB30H)
6.0.1 (MOB30M)
6.0.1 (MOB30P)
6.0.1 (MOB30Y)

all of them are monthly security updates, the latest one being MOB30Y. They are not for different hardware, and are for Nexus 5 only.

Yep, Nexus 5 has two versions, but only one hardware, so any ROM for N5 will work on all N5 devices.

Is there any chance for SM-P905 To get official marshmallow update from samsung or Is there any custom rom for SM-P901 based on marshmallow?
for SM-P905, there will be no official MM update.
But there's a Custom ROM on based CM13 for SM-P905

By Valera1978,
This device is 28 months old, which is 10 months over the length of Google's software contract.
Long answer short: No. There won't be an official update.
You'll have to use a customROM.
Hi all, is there any unofficial ROM (with MM) which has the support to S-pen functionalities?

Is the H810 on 6.0 or 6.0.1?

I have the latest OTA update available, my 'About Phone' reports I am running 6.0 but I have a company who requires that I have 6.0.1 or newer on an Android device to use their APP and get hired by them and they state that if I cannot confirm I have an actual 6.0.1 build they cannot hire me...
I know, right,,,
they won't even let me test the app to see if it has any bugs.
6.0.1 was reported released months ago for our device but cannot find a way to confirm the build...
Kernel 3.10.84
Build MRA58K
Software H81020n
Anything there tell me if on 6.0 or 6.0.1?

Yes you can upgrade to 6.0.1
Most information can be found here, including official firmware.
As to what version should you use? For me, it comes down to what I want to use the phone for. I suggest trying different builds if you feel adventurous.

Some question about flashing a ROM for my Samsung (newb here)

So I have the Galaxy S5 SM G900F, running Android 5.0 , no more software update for this device, well at least in my country.
It has become very laggy, many apps crashes such as Spotify and Snapshat and it just sucks overall. I'm planning on installing the 6.0 marshmallow ROM following the steps from this thread hoping it'll fix the problem. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...m-official-android-6-0-1-marshmallow-t3319376
1- Does it matter which country I should download the firmware on sammobile? Because in Lebanon, there's only the 4.4.2 version, even thought I have the 5.0
2-In the thread, the OP said " flash stock Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware first before upgrading to Android 6.x.x Marshmallow firmware to avoid any issues." What does he mean? To do a backup of my existing firmware? If so how should I do that?
3- Would my data such as pictures, contacts, apps be affected?
Bump
Anyone?
