LG 360 Cam questions - LG G5 Accessories

Hi,
Recently I purchased LG 360 cam, and I have a few questions about it that I can’t seem to find the answer for.
1) The camera connects to a smartphone via Wi-Fi. But why Bluetooth needs to be turned on too?
2) Once I established the connection with phone and camera, I can’t seem to use any data connection (both home wi-fi network and cellular network), is that normal?
Would appreciate if anyone can help out a noob here.
Thanks

I have the 360 camera as well. I think it uses wifi to live stream what the camera captures and also do data transfer between the two. Bluetooth I'm guessing is more like for the camera actions. Snap photo video and what not. Haven't figured out yet if there's a way to keep data accessible while using the cam. That would only be possible if the phone could simultaneously use wifi and your carriers network at the same time. Which I don't think it's possible.

spy cam viewer ?

hi to all
i have a 2.4ghz wireless spy cam and was wondering if there was anyway of directly viewing it on my leo ( it does almost everything else )
i curently use a laptop with a reiciever but can be bulky and not very discret
thanx in advance for all help given
+1
It's my dream since a long long time....
No way to watch a wifi cam on it ?
hi i dont have an hd2 yet (its coming tomorrow) but i can tell you its possible to view wifi cams from your hd2
it all depends on how your camera works but if you have a network camera of any type (wifi or wired to lan / pc) then you will probably be able to browse to an ip if youre on the same wifi network
if the camera is on your pc by usb or something you can set up vlc player to stream your camera video to your hd2
even over data tariff
edit: i dont know about the original 2.4ghz camera idea though. they arent bluetooth signals and i dont know about how that would even be possible (with frequencies etc)
if you have a pc that you can leave running, you could get your wireless security camera and connect it to a video input on your pc (gfx card might have it, or a capture card/dongle) then stream the input over your network...
There are plenty of programs that can broadcast a web cam or wificam that can be viewed off local-network if you want. I used to have a web cam setup on my pc that would stream the video. I could log onto the IP with my Fuze and see if somebody was at my house from anywhere in the world.
YawCam is one I have used that is alright and free. Your best bet would be using a computer to grab the wifi cams video feed then from there throw it on a private network that you an log into from the phone. I don't see the phone picking up the signal and then interpreting it to video nor can I see it being able to access the video even when the phone is being used as a wifi router. It might possibly be able to get an ip from the phone being a wifi router but I don't see the phone being able to access it with in it's own router program on it's local network.
If you catch my drift on that gibberish .
Thanks for your answers !
I understand what you mean (and i use that too) but it's not what we look for.
The question is most for that kind of purpose :
spygearco.com/MicroReceiverRecorder-DVR-P160-FreeSpyCamera
I don't know why gtr-viper want to use that camera, but for me (as a magician) it could be a great trick to see what the people do behind my back (or in the next room).
So, i need that kind of camera that use no network but only wifi connection (2.4ghz).
For that cam, they sell an USB adapter to watch the live stream on your PC, that's why i thought that it may be possible to use a good smartphone to see the video too.
(yes, i'm a dreamer ...)
I am using Mobiscope and it is working perfectly on my HD2
Hello,
Anybody willing to share mobiscope.cab for my HD2.
Moreover, what is the best Alarm clock application and a
stop watch application available for the HD2.
I had a good program on sony ericsson k750i.. ( with multiple laps, countdown
timer, Timecounter etc).
Any guidance on this is appreciated with source to grab and try the same.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Wi-Fi Webcam surveillance for Android

Ok here goes,
Is there Any way i can use a wi-fi camera
(webcam sized preferably with night vision) which i can use for surveillance and stream the live video directly onto my android phone without any intermediaries like routers and internet and stuff....
any apps out there that can do it, kind of like the web cam is on tether mode which makes it a hotspot (secured ofcourse) and we use our phone application to connect on to it, and get the live video
just a direct connection from the wi-fi cam to my phone, Thats it
Is it possible,
If no what are the other ways i can get around it
Thanks

[Q] Android video survailance via cell data and intErnet conection

I happen to have an extra android cell phone that I am not using and thought I may be able to use it as a surveillance camera for the house/office or in the car.
For some reason, I cannot find an app that will do this via the cell phone data plan and/or via a wifi intErnet connection.
1) all/most of the apps that use wifi need the receiving computer/cell phone to be on the same wifi-network with the sending cell phone... but I would like be able to see the home even when I am at work or traveling.
2) non seem to be able to stream video when connected via cell data plan.
3) ideally, the app should have motion detection and autocapture/autosave and cloud back up options... no point in having a surveillance camera in your car/house, possibly getting to see the thieve in action, as he steals the camera... and than having no records to give the police.

Marshmallow wont connect to samsung nx500 anymore?

Galaxy s6 can someone help me?
From what I understand. Security changes in Marshmallow are preventing the Samsung Camera app from working properly. Samsung needs to update the app to resolve the issue.
I found the following advice on the dpreview website which may be of help to you.
Everything works in marshmellow its just not automatic.
You lose NFC tap to join (which actually just connects to bluetooth and then trigers a call to make the phone/tablet connect to the cameras wifihotspot).
So now you can still use the basic bluetooth shutter but to use live view or transfer pictures you must your self press the mobile/wifi on the camera and then join your phone to the cameras hotspot manually. once you do that app functions pretty much like normal. unfortunately switching between app functions picture transfer and live view sometimes crashes the app or drops the cameras wifi hotspot and you have to reconnect.
Thanks but it wont work.. they wont update the app, they stopt the production of the nx cameras...

DVR connection options (WiFi or Video in)

Hi All,
I am planning to connect an external DVR camera (specific for my car) which is not USB. Camera can be powered through OBD or directly from the fuse box.
The connection to the camera is done through WiFi OR through video cable with reduced resolution (due to limitation of video connection) and has all the options needed from DVR (auto record, loop etc).
My questions to the gurus
If the camera is connected through WiFi then what will happen with the tethering connection for Data access (internet) ?
Is it possible to have both WiFi connections connected at the same time ?
Can i use any DVR application with the camera?
Thanks

1) Hard to tell what will happen to the internet connection without knowing how the camera connects/uses the wi-fi.
2) Depends on #1. You can't have the radio connected to two wi-fi servers. You can't have the radio connected to wi-fi and act as a hot spot.
3) The built-in DVR only supports the USB connected camera. No 3rd party DVR software seems to function on the units.
You should be able to connect the (RCA) video cable to one of the radio RCA Video inputs and view it through one of the internal apps (video-in, F-Cam) etc, however, you will not receive any additional DVR type functionality from the MTCD unit.
Hope this helps.
