My S7 never had a limit, would start splitting at 4GB and carries on, more than 10min also.

Just done a 4K 15min video, it split at 4GB and carried on. Not sure whether my rom is based on a newer build which fixed it.

I never use the video part, only photo's, so i have never checked.
I am at work, so i can't check right now.
Hope to try it later.
Not sure why that is, I remember on my S6 Edge I didn't have that limit, not sure why I have that here now.
I'm not positive but I believe it's due to formatting of SD card

Like a timer? Or a just stops recording
I believe photon4glover is refering to filesystem.
Look at maximum file size column:

I let the phone format the SD card when I put it in. So not sure why it would limit. And when I choose regular 1080p there is no 10 min limit

This is what I did and am getting that 10min record limit for 1080p60fps
The question is why there is no time limit when any other recording format?

It is a hard 10 minute timer. At the end of 10 min, it stopped recording and said maximum time limit had been reached.
File size for the full clip is 1.97gb so well below the 4gb limit for Fat32

Hmm it does show
I never noticed before
Overheats
It's probably an overheating issue due to the waterproof design. Touch the phone after 10 minutes and it's super hot.
Where is this limit supposed to show up? I haven't noticed any limit when using 60fps.

I've noticed for the 2nd time, after shooting a good amount of videos which are saved to my 128gb micro sd. My phone starts slowing down, even when videos not being viewed or video app running in the background.. I did a factory reset thinking it was something to do going from root to stock but still the issue still persistent.. I have a Samsung Evo + sdcard.. Anyone else??
have you run out of memory? or is it saving the files to the sd card which can slow down for while

Negative I have plenty of internal memory available, just set the camera to default to the sd card since I got it. See the slowing down is within minutes of recording.Hard to explain to describe but it's definitely happening.. Oh I understand what you meant it can be a day later and still slows down.

So even am too using a Samsung evo+ ultra 128gb sdcard ..
This happens for me too , what I did is , rename the extensions of .mp4 to .hhh or any which can't be recognized . so that my camera app wont have access to the current videos and the lag is gone . give it a shot .
PS: use esfile explorer to change the extension of bulk videos in single step

I think it's CPU throttling issue. Check the video FPS. It would be less than the expected rate e.g. if you record 4k 30fps, you might get 20-25 fps if you are facing stuttering issue. This can be fixed by OTA updates.

Sometimes it does stuttering when there is high cpu usage or when you are out in the sun and cpu throttles. Very common.
I think this issue has been fixed on the latest update 10.3.9

It's being rolled out slowly, a certain number of devices at a time..
In case you want to get it way, download the OTA through the forums and flash it..
Hi everyone.
I'll go straight to the point.
I have some very serious freezes in slow motion in stock camera on coloros A16. N 240fps slowmo freezes are 5-6 second long! And it intensifies until you almost can't record anything. Entire camera app behaves as if pulling 8k with sd450. 120 fps is little better but still pathetic.
Everything in camera app besides that works normally ( including "normal" laggy 60fps video rec).
I have 4/64 version I bought in India. Interestingly my friend have same phone with 6GB RAM and everything works fine. On telegram another user with 6GB RAM also told, that doesn't have problems with that too. Can 4GB RAM with SD712 be not sufficient to pull 240fps slowmo? (or 60 fps regular recording)?
I've tried restarts, clearing camera app cache, data etc but doesn't work. If RealmeUI update doesn't help then no further hope.
Can someone help with that?
I have the 6 gigs variant and everything seems fine for me. My friend has the 4 gigs variant , I will ask him if he is facing any problem with SloMo.
