Is this HTC camera firmware issue? - General Topics

The front camera of HTC series smart phone do not support FHD/HD video recording for third-party Camera App ?
I had tested Desire 830 and One X+ only can record 480P and found someone(X9 and Desire 820 user) had same problem ,even tried many Camera App.
Is this HTC camera firmware issue or what kind of app can solve this problem.

[Q] HD Video Recording for Nexus S?

I purchased the Nexus S 4G for Sprint not too long ago, only to be devastated by it's video recording quality. Really, a 2011 smartphone that doesn't have HD/720p Video Recording capabilities? That is bullcrap!
My question is, can they add HD video recording with a software update? Or is the camera lens on the Nexus S 4G not technically capable of capturing high def videos?
am also looking for the same answer.
iS hD {720p} recording possible in Nexus S {not 4G, regular one}
& is there any way we can use Radio in it

AFAIK its more like a software problem than hardware. Though it may also be due to lack of internal bandwidth between sub systems. It is not a deal breaker for me though I do get like WTF when every Tom, **** and Harry comes with his/her HTC XYZ and tells me about 720p recording :/
These questions were asked multiple times. The short answer is that the parts 720p recording is not possible with a software update. Apparently the NFC module used the space needed for the HD chip.

[Q] Google+ Hangouts and front facing cameras mod

So it looks like Google+ on Android phones now support Hangouts. But only for phones that have a Front Facing Camera. Now here's the trick. It also supports rear facing camera's as well, BUT only on phones that have a FFC and a RFC. Has anyone started looking at a mod that might fool an application in thinking that it has a FFC? So that we could use it with the rear facing only.
Nice. It was already Modded. I cannot post a link here but you can find it on the cyanogenmod forums, under mods. That was fast, and it works on my Inspire 4g
how can i do this i have the htc inspire..im a noob

Because its a port and the new sense 4 ville c2 base isnt compatible with the HQ camera mod yet because no one has ported it over yet
do you know of any third party apps or solution? and it is really a big difference?

To be perfectly honest I dont know why everyone raves on and on about phone camera quality. Compared to a dedicated camera phone cameras are complete rubbish and my view of it is if you want decent looking pics, use a dedicated camera so no I dont really know what the difference is or any 3rd party apps
Actually on the new Ville c2 base for sense 4 Roms there isn't much difference in quality anymore in terms of photos. On the original Sense 4 base for the Sensation, the One S port, photos would appear pixelated and grainy on our Sensation(outdoor bright light shots where normally that wouldn't be an issue), but that isn't the case anymore.
You can still mod your Sense 4 media_profiles.xml file to not compress photos.
For video I use lgcamera from the market. It has selectable bitrates for all video modes, and offers true aac recording at 44khz.
You can try lgCamera as mentioned or Camera ICS to see if the quality gets better.
i recently switched to sense 4.0 based rom and the camera quality is the same as before...i havent really seen any major difference in the uncompressed version of the photos and normal compressed versions..

htc desire c - camera help

Hi all,
i have an htc desire c, and the camera have not auto focus or tap to focus. what can i do about that?? help me please..
I also have an HTC Desire C and this is the only camera mod I've found for it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1860714
It doesn't address your problem but might be useful to you. I found an app on the play store called Fast Burst Camera that takes pictures quickly after one another. I find this helps for getting a better shot - you have a better chance of getting a good shot in 1/5 pictures than one in 1/1 picture. Here's a link to the lite version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spritefish.fastburstcameralite&hl=en

[Completed] Camera from 3mp to 5mp

I have s7560 running cm11 ,and my hardwear camera is 5mp but there is a bug in ALL custom roms as they only allow camera to be set to resolution of 3mp.
Recently I found out that some dev's successfully managed to change Canvas's camera from 8mp to 13mp (even though their hardwer camera is only 8mp) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2790959.
Since they went beyond their hardwear resolution I'm hopping someone could help me to maximize potential of my cam.
I really hope someone can help!
Hi,
Try posting your question here:

or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-ace/ace-2-help
The experts there may be able to help.
Good luck!
I've already sent message to all active devs for s7560 and no one knows how to resolve the issue so I was wandering if someone came across the same problem on different phone and if they have, could they share their solution.I know it has something to do with cam libs but I'm not skilled to fix that kind of problem :/
Either way thanks!
