Google FRP Protection - A Journey Into The Matrix - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

As always each platform will evolve and have methods to protect users from theft of mobile devices. Google has Factory Reset Protection, and I'd like to share my experiences with this security feature on a Tabe E (SM-T560NU)
Background:
One of my local pawn shops always has deals on broken/locked devices and I know the owner and his son, so I frequently buy items. Some I'm able to fix, others can be bypassed.
About a month ago they had a Samsung Tab E, which I believe I paid $60 for. It was FRP Locked, and based on what I read online, I was sure I could unlock it.
Well, to my dismay I found out it had the latest patches and would not work with the old USB OTG hack.
However, I did find a hack that did give me some interesting results. One hack/triuck is to enable a wifi hotspot on your phone, and connect the FRP Locked device to that hotspot. Just when it is looking for software updates, kill the connection. It will complain it can't connect and will allow you to set the date and continue setup. However, the latest patches will simply restart Setup if you have not verified your Google Account.
However, I discovered that you can manually enable certian subsets of the device to work despite having FRP Lock enabled.
Once I used the WiFi hotspot trick, I created a pattern lock using the Setup Wizard. With this enabled, the Camera icon now shows up on the lock screen which you can use to access a few apps.
I went through the setup wizard one more time to enable my default WiFi connection so all future access wouldn't need the hotspot.
You can take photos then review them, and use the Share This menu action to access other apps. Most apps only allow you to access a specific instance, for example selecting Notes will only let you create a note, you cannot go back and see other notes you created. If you choose to share via Gmail, you can click the button "learn more" and this will allow you to access Google Chrome.
Note, I watched the latest video by rootjunky and tried to long tap the gmail and although it did show me app settings, it would not give me any access to change settings or go into the phone settings itself.
You can even use the file:/// protocal.
If you download an APK, it will download, but you can't open it. If you use file:///sdcard to see the internal SD and try opening an apk you downloaded, it treats it as another instance of download and asks if you want to replace your existing copy.
By browsing to the youtube site it opened the YouTube App, but as the device is FRP locked, any attempt to sign in won't work as the device will want the original account that was used.
OTG does function, as I'm typing this post using the tablet with a USB keyboard. If I plug in a USB flash drive the drive does flash it's LED so I can assume it works. I'm working on finding the mountpoints for OTG and external SD so I can try other actions.
I'm curious if I can access the built in media player, and will try loading the SD card with video files. But if chrome treats all files accessed by the file:/// protocal as downloads that may not work.
So security isn't always 100% as I now have a semi functional tablet which for my most basic needs, works perfectly. But I'm still working on learning more about the sandbox that must be implemented on these apps.
UPDATE: After playing around with the device, I found that if I used Media Share as a share to option, it would pop up and ask if I wanted to update it as it was outdated. This took me of course to the Samsung Apps, not Google Play. At this point I could install ES Explorer and get access to Settings and QuickShortcuts which allowed me to follow RootJunky's guide for disabling FRP. Note that will only work if you have an outdated version of Media Share.
I will post a full guide on this method in a day or so (It's 9:30PM work tomorrow) and we will see how long this bypass works. For those brave enough if you combine rootjunky's method with what I posted here, you should be good.

Steps To Disable FRP Lock On SM-T560NU
1.) Have WiFi source that can be disabled quickly (under 1 second)
2.) Connect to wifi and wait for "searching for updates" then kill wifi.
3.) Click next until you are at security setup. Setup a pattern and PIN.
4.) Keep clicking next until setup wizard restarts itself.
5.) Continue setup this time connecting to your normal WiFi
6.) After connected with WiFi, Lock Device.
7.) Hit Home button & Swipe up on Camera and open lock screen camera access.
8.) Take a photo.
9.) Try and open settings for Camera (gear icon in top right)
10.) Hit OK and enter your pattern.
11.) Click the back button to return to the main camera screen.
12.) Tap the photo you took previously (bottom right icon)
13.) Tap the share button and select Gmail.
14.) Skip the intro to gmail. Click "learn more".
15.) Use chrome to visit http://rootjunkysdl.com/files/
16.) Download Apps/com.sika524.android.quickshortcut.apk and Apps/samsung%20bypass%20google%20verify.apk
17.) Wait a moment for files to DL & Tap back button until you are back at the photo you took.
18.) Tap the share button, select quick connect. It will ask to be updated, say yes.
19.) Sign up or sign in to Samsung Apps. Don't update Quick Connect.
20.) Search for ES Explorer & Install
21.) Navigate to downloads folder and open samsung bypass apk.
22.) After warning, click "settings" and enable unknown sources for all apps.
23.) Tap back till you are back at ES Explorer.
22.) Install QuickShortcut APK & open
23.) Search for Google Account Manager
24.) Hit the expand arrow next to the title and you will see available instances each with a description.
25.) Go to "Type E-Mail Password" and click "Try It"
26.) In the top right of the screen click the three dots and select "sign in browser"
27.) Enter the Google account info you want to use and sign in.
28.) Tap back button until you are back at ES Explorer.
29.) Install samsung bypass apk which will open settings.
30.) Factory reset.
You are done!
That wasn't so hard was it?

How to Bypass Factory Reset Protection on Galaxy Note 3 running Android 5.0 (no OTG)

Hello,
Someone gave a friend of mine a used Galaxy Note 3. He asked me to "set it up" for him. What he wanted was really some apps like facebook etc. Being someone who couldn't resist trying out things, I decided to try out some custom roms on his Note 3. This being my first Samsung phone (yes, my first), I had no idea that "factory resetting" the phone doesn't just clear user data. To regain access to the phone, you need enter the Samsung account of the previous owner. Not knowing that is tantamount to being stuck at the welcome screen. With a little googling, I found out that despite Samsung's additional security to protect the phone from unauthorized people (that is, thieves), the phone could still be unlocked. I found this tutorial which explains the process . The essence of the hack is to simply allow an app to run, which will then be used to remove the previous owner. The app is provided here. I was unable to do exactly what was done in the tutorial and that might be due to the fact that my phone is different from the one used in the tutorial. Here are my steps:
1. Go to the google account (on your computer or another phone) that you'll be associating the Note 3 with.
2. Save a draft with the app (provided in the link above) attached.
3. If you haven't already, wipe data and cache (in recovery).
Make sure that you have internet access. Its important that you can turn it on and off at will.
4. Allow the phone some minutes to boot into the welcome screen.
5. Connect to your WiFi and sign in to the google account (same as that in step 1).
6. Now, when you get to the section where you're asked to enter the logon details of the previous owner, click on "Forgot Username or password".
7. Immediately disconnect the internet source (turn off your WiFi router or hotspot).
You'll now be greeted with a page similar to a default webpage informing you that the link cannot be accessed etc.
8. Turn your WiFi back on.
8. Select any text on the screen that is not the link. You'll notice that you'll now be able to see a list of options at the top of the screen.
9. Select "SHARE" and then "GMAIL".
10. Navigate to your draft folder and download the attachment (the apk file). Install it.
When the app is launched, it'll look similar like the stock Samsung settings.
11. Go "General", then "Accounts" and add a "Samsung account". If you don't have a Samsung account, you can create one from there or if you already have one, sign in.
12. Go back, back, back until you get to the screen which asks for the logon details of the previous owner and input yours now. You're now done.
These are the steps I carried out and my Note 3 is now back to working state.
All that trouble when you can bypass whitin 2 minutes

You can bring your phone back to working condition by flashing (installing) the stock firmware (the software the phone came with).

Oh, this problem. A classic problem for root users is that, at some point, a file called the "hosts" will break, disabling access to Google play and the other Google services. It's a simple fix, luckily:
Download aptoide from the internet. Its at here. There will be a link to download on that page. (aptoide is the most popular 3rd party android market.
Install it. First, head to settings>security, and allow installation from unknown sources. Then go to downloads, and tap aptoide(or tap it in you notification bar) and two options will pop up, select either one. It will then give another pop up, just press install.
Once it is installed, open it, and search: 'ES file explorer' And click on the top app. Press install (grant it root if you want, it will cut out picking something to install it with) and wait, then do as you did with aptoide.
Now we have ES, open it. Do the "tutorials" and tap the lines in the top left corner, scroll until you see "root explorer" and turn it on. Grant root, and tap away from the menu to shut it.
Now for the "fun" bit . Scroll to a bunch of folders and look at the top bar. It will say something like 'storage > emulated' though it may vary. Keep tapping the one on the Left until they bot go, leaving just '/', and tap the folder '/system'
Inside /system, there is a folder called 'etc'. Open it, and look for a file called 'hosts'. Open that as text in 'ES Text Editor'
Last step, and I'll make it easy. Delete everything except the very first line (i.e. 127.0.0.1 localhost is the first line) and sqve it by tapping the arrow in the corner, then yes.
And you are done! It should work immediately, but you MIGHT need to reboot.

[Completed] [GUIDE] Recover Data with Broken Screen and USB Debugging Disabled

A friend of mine just dropped her phone and the LCD stopped working (no cracks, tactile was still working), her phone (Oneplus X) was running stock, unrooted and USB Debugging was disabled, so none of the available solutions were useful in this case. I almost lost hope after reading everywhere that there was not much left to be done when USB Debugging was diabled, so I tried a different approach.
There are a bunch of software that claim they can recover data but they all need USB Debugging to be enabled, so this was a big barrier. After a few tries I finally came up with a solution that I think can help anyone facing a similar situation. In my case I did all this blindly tapping on the blank screen, if your screen is more damaged you can use an OTG cable and a mouse or keyboard, you can find more info on this in other threads.
Step 1: Connect to a WiFi Network
First I needed to connect the phone to a wifi network, which I managed creating an unprotected network with a freshly installed DD-WRT router and clicking blindly on the phone. We all have a mental image of where things are located on the phone so this should be easily doable (slide from the top, tap to enable wifi, long press to see list of available networks, tap to select network) and if you are sitting next to the router the unprotected network will appear first in the list. On the router check for connected devices and the IP of the phone. A ping test will confirm that the phone is succesfuly connected to the network.
Step 2: Install AirDroid
Fortunately when I received the phone it had already installed Airdroid, so this made the process a little easier for me. The first time you run Airdroid a couple of extra screens will appear trying to get you to subscribe to access all the extra features so this will make things a little more complicated for those installing for the first time, try to google these images so you know whre to tap. I understand there are other apps with similar functionality but the fact that Airdroid starts with an A is very helpful here because it shows (at least for me) on the first row of your Apps Drawer.
Step 3: Connect to Airdroid
Now it's time to connect to AirDroid, to do this you need a computer connected to the same wifi network that the phone is connected, and since you already know the phone's IP this becomes a process of trial and error. Again, blindly tapping on your phone access the Apps Drawer and start the app placed on the first position (upper left corner under the search bar), in your computer's browser type the phone's IP followed by ":8888" (192.168.1.143:8888 in my case). If you fail to open AirDroid the page will just time out so you go for the app on the second position and reload the page on your browser, then the third and so forth.... once you successfully manage to open AirDroid a page will finally load and you'll hear a notification from your phone (it was the fourth try for me). Now there should be a notification window waiting for your confimation on your phone (google this to see where it is) so it shoud be an easy guess on where to tap. Once you can access your phone via AirDroid, the hard part is over! Now we can download pictures, files, ringtones and other stuff, but if you want to backup contacts there's no tool for this so we need to enable USB Debugging.
Step 4: Enable USB Debugging
With AirDroid running we can now take screenshots of the phone with the hardware buttons and view them using the "Photos" folder in AirDroid, so you open the notification drawer and tap where the "settings wheel" should be, take a screenshot and view it to confirm you succeeded, then scroll all the way down and take another screenshot to se if "Developer Options" are enabled. I'm sure by now you get the idea of the process, after any tap or scroll take a screenshot and view it to confirm your progress, once I got Developer Options enabled I managed to scroll down to USB Debugging and to enable it!
Now with USB Debugging enabled you can use programs like MyPhoneExplorer to backup your contacts to a .csv file or use screen cast apps like Vysor to see your phone's screen on your computer vía USB.

Samsung Account Reactivation Lock Bypass (on 6.0.1)

Hopefully this might help someone who comes across a similarly bizarre situation. I've gone into detail to ensure anyone who tries this has all the info needed, so apologies for the biblical post but this 100% worked for me on my S6.
Ok, so here's the dilemma I was faced with which was a total nightmare. My phone (although otherwise fully functional) was slowing down a tad and becoming quite laggy so I decided to factory reset it (as I've done a hundred times before to several phones over the years). All the usual pre-requisites were carried out (back-ups taken, usb debugging on, reactivation lock cleared, etc.) I proceeded to factory reset the device, all went as expected without any issues. Once completed and at the 1st setup page, I selected language and proceeded. I set up WiFi connection and proceeded. I was then met with the next setup page, my Samsung Account. However, there was a message - "This device is locked because of an abnormal factory reset. Sign in to the Samsung account that you have already signed in to on this device to confirm that it belongs to you." Well, I naturally proceeded to enter my Samsung ID and correct password, but that's when things got weird. After a longer than expected period to sign in, I got a brief pop-up to say "Processing failed". That was it, no other explanation, no other option, no other way around it. I was now 100% locked out of my phone which I have had (store bought from brand new) for 2yrs. I contacted Samsung support, but I think we all know that was a complete waste of time - so I began to research extensively. I came here to XDA first but couldn't find any solution, I then scoured the web and checked a tonne of YT videos. Again, nothing doing - it was all either outdated information, Samsung had patched vulnerabilities, or the methods were just time-wasting idiots posting hoax fixes which did nothing. It was worth it to a point though because I got several tips and picked up some software. Then after about 8hrs, I stumbled across another post from someone here on XDA https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s6-edge/help/reactivation-lock-bypass-samsung-account-t3625723#post73617288. Massive thanks to him/her. The basis of his/her method definitely works, but I had a few improvements, particularly concerning the dialling of emergency numbers. So, that's the background to the issue I had and how I got to here. The following is the full method of what I did and I can say that I have a 100% fully functional S6 again. I've gone into this detail as I've found that a lot of posts can be a bit vague, so hopefully this helps someone out....
1. On the 1st setup wizard page after the factory reset has completed; select your language, then connect to (WiFi preferably). You then arrive at the Samsung Account sign-in and cannot proceed any further.
2. Make sure that your phone is NOT connected to your PC at this stage and just for clarity - also make sure than your SIM card is still in your phone. (Some instructions say to remove it, don't do that if you want this to work.)
3. Leave your phone alone for the moment.
4. Ensure that 'Samsung Drivers' for your phone are installed on your PC. (If they already are - great. If not, install them so that when you eventually connect your phone to your PC later, you can see it.
5. Next, download the terminal program here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4OYgE4A8WCzckpyTDVuODc4TWs/view It's called Realterm and is only about 12MB. (There are other newer versions of this available, but this one worked for my purposes.) Extract the program and install (running it as Admin) and ensure that all 4 boxes are 'ticked' as you install (i.e. usually 'source' & 'DLPortIO' boxes are un-ticked, so put a tick in both and then complete the install. As the install completes, un-tick both boxes 'Register' and 'Show ReadMe'. Done. You should now have 'Realterm' icon on your desktop.
6. Back to your phone now. With it still stuck at the Samsung Account sign-in window (or any preceding window), connect the phone to your PC. If an 'installing drivers' pop-up appears on your PC, wait for the Samsung driver to finish installing. If on the other hand, you phone connects to your PC straight away, then proceed straight to 'Manage'. (i.e. Right-click on 'My Computer', select 'Manage' and select 'Device Manager' from the left list. Then in the main window select 'Modems', then right-click on 'Samsung Mobile USB Modem' and select 'Properties'. Hit the 'Modem' tab at the top and simply note the Port. It should be Com & a number, for example 'Com3'. Once noted, you can now close all 'Manage' windows.
7. Open 'Realterm' from your desktop icon by right-clicking and running as admin. (a) On the 'Display' tab, ensure the 'Half Duplex' box has a tick inside it. Don't mess with any other settings here. (b) Then hit on the 'Port' and ensure that the port number you noted from #6 above is selected. If it's not, select it using the dropdown option and once selected, apply it by hitting the 'Change' button with the green check-mark to the right. (c) Once completed, then hit on the 'Send' tab. Open the extracted folder where you installed the terminal program from (#5 above) and open the 'code.txt' file. Copy/paste the first line of text to the very first blank box (i.e. directly under the tabs 'Display', 'Port', 'Capture' etc.) Then hit the 'Send ASCII' button. You should see the pasted text in the black terminal window above, followed by 'ok'. Now remove the pasted text and copy/paste the second line from the 'code.txt' file to the exact same location. Again, hit the 'Send ASCII' button. **Now, quickly look at your phone screen as it should be attempting to make a call to a dead '900' number. You need to be quick, but cancel the call by hitting the red phone symbol and 'quickly' hit on the 'Message' button as if you were going to send a text.
8. You should now arrive at a screen where you can send a text message to the dead number 900. In the text field, type 'www.google.com' and send the text. The text goes nowhere, but now you've created a hyperlink to Google that you can follow (as long as you have WiFi on). Follow it by clicking on the link and you arrive at Google home screen.
9. Search for Package Disabler Pro 9.8.
10. Download it and install it.
11. After installing, you might get a pop-up window to say that PDP Engine needs to be installed in order for Package Disabler Pro to work. If so, install that too.
12. I also found that searching for and installing ES File Explorer was hugely beneficial, because (a) you have extremely limited functionality on your phone (i.e. you can download the programs, but can't just pull-down from the top of your screen to select them as you may be used to doing. As in, they install, but may not be easily selectable so you have to navigate to their location to run them and (b) now that you have partial access again via Google, you need to be careful not to lose your window of opportunity.
13. So, once you've downloaded & installed #9, #11 (if needed) & #12, open Package Disabler Pro.
14. Search for "Samsung account".
15. Once found, click on it, 'Clear Data' and then 'Disable' it.
16. Go back to Google now and search for QuickShortMaker.
17. Install it and open it. (You may need to use ES File Explorer to be able to navigate to it and open it.)
18. Within 'QuickShortMaker' > 'Incremental search' > 'Activities'; search for "Setup Wizard". It should be near the bottom. There are lots of setup wizards once you find it so pay close attention to specifics here.
19. Select the one with ".setupwizards.SetupExitActivity". (It's near the bottom of that particular screen but again, you need to pay attention to the small print and ensure you select the right one.)
20. Once you find it, select 'Create'.
21. Done! You can now restart your phone and after you select your language, then connect to WiFi, you will bypass Samsung Account and gain full access to your phone.
After this you can go and check that there is no Samsung account displayed (i.e. Settings > Accounts). There won't be, but you won't be able to add one at this point either....
1. Go back to Package Disabler Pro and re-enable the "Samsung Account" option.
2. Go to Storage (Settings > Storage) and clear all cache.
3. Go to Find my Mobile (Settings > Lock screen and security > Find my Mobile) and from there you should be prompted to insert your Samsung Account details to successfully add your Samsung account.
4. Once completed, you can either choose to do a Factory data reset (from within 'Settings' > 'Backup and reset'. NOT from recovery. Or you can simply restart your phone if you don't need a factory reset and you should be good to go.
5. Done, now you should have your Samsung account registered to your phone and can sync with your account.
This is what worked for me anyway and gave me full access back to my S6 running stock 6.0.1.
I've tried to be as detailed as I could with this post to ensure all necessary steps are there to follow. It may seem daunting to some before you try it, but I assure you it's relatively straightfoward and I had no problems. I hope someone finds it helpful and it recovers your S6 too if you get stuck in a similar situation to me. All the best.

I had such high hopes for this to work on my Samsung S4, but it doesn't I've got to step 7, did everything as you noted, and when i'm copying text and pressing "Send ASCII" button, it appears in the black field above, but isn't followed by "ok". I put in the second part of the text, still no "ok" and there is no call going through the phone.... I'm not able to proceed any further than this step. Why could that happen? Please help!
Linking to here would be better than writing a long wall of text, just saying. Also for S6 to S7 edge you can downgrade from nougat back to marshmallow 7.0 to 6.0 if needed for FRP bypass / Google Account lock.

I'm stucked to the connection of my S6. I have an S6 Edge and it connect normally, but when I try the S6 that has a samsuns block, it says some problem with the driver even if I have installed the Samsung Driver Pack... Am I doing something wrong? Can someone help me please
i can get to the browser part, i downloaded all the apps i needed for this task, but when i try to install them it wont run the install and nothing happens so now i have a phone i cant get in to and apps sitting in the download folder in the phone and cant do anything with any of it....... looks like its just time to take a hammer to it and say hell with it

Now I made somehow another samsung accaunt over other means. made reset over this other samsung account.
After reboot/factory reset still stuck at samsung. WTF. Did samsung made it bulletproof in their updates?

Decided I should add to the thread after break activation lock on my G900A (S5 AT&T) that had Android 6.0.1. Around Step 8 is where I got stock and used another thread to get the rest of the way in the phone...albeit a VERY long way around.
Instead of sending a text in Step 8, you can click the paperclip and long press google maps. There's some steps to get to the privacy policy / terms of use (I don't have all the things you had to click). From here, most people long press a word or phrase and use web search or assistant. I got stuck again with some security error.
However, the GOOGLE logo at the top of the page is clickable into Google app and voila I can search for Package Disabler. There is a waffle (3x3 dots) at the top and you can click PLAY STORE but it's the desktop version...dam! However, and it gets worse, you can download but not install any packages from app browser b/c it needs permission for storage. This is where it got hilarious. I found a package disabler download page that advertised to install their proprietary app....clicking that advertisement popped me into Play Store app....hurray!
I was able to search for chrome and open it (you can't download or install any apps from Play store)...then continue on with the with steps. I had difficulty getting package disabler installed with PDP but just kept retrying and it eventually worked. BAM....I'm past the setup login and on the home screen. However, still unable to get reactivation lock turned off nor able to factory reset. The option was not greyed out but putting in my samsung credentials was successful (I could even see my phone in Samsung Find my Phone) but reactivation lock still turned on. dam again! At this point i'm thinking to sell the phone with reactivation lock and try to make $20 on it.
After some interesting research, it appeared that Lollipop and Kitkat were not so secure when it came to Reactivation Lock. One thread suggested to delete your samsung account, downgrade to Lollipop first (then KitKat if unsuccessful), then re-create your samsung account with exact email and password, then boot the phone. This is what ultimately did the trick! I used ODIN and backed down to Android 5.1.1. I signed in and the first setup screen after signin asked to turn on reactivation lock. Unchecked and it's gone! I verified in the bootloader that indeed the lock is gone! HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!
It works on other samsung phones as well. I fixed a mega 2 using this method. Thanks a bunch

I found a much simpler work around. After you long press google maps, simply open the sidebar menu and press Google earth. It will pop you into the play store app on the Google earth app page. Just search for package disable pro and pdp engine and voila! The only catch is the app itself is $3.45 and I don't think the free version is available anymore. I bought it just to use for this and was going to get it refunded once I'm done. But that avoids the hassle of finding the link that will take you to the store app since I searched endlessly for that promised link to no avail, lol

Well, I naturally proceeded to enter my Samsung ID and correct password, but that's when things got weird. After a longer than expected period to sign in, I got a brief pop-up to say "Processing failed". That was it, no other explanation, no other option, no other way around it. I was now 100% locked out of my phone which I have had (store bought from brand new) for 2yrs. I contacted Samsung support, but I think we all know that was a complete waste of time - so I began to research extensively. I came here to XDA first but couldn't find any solution, I then scoured the web and checked a tonne of YT videos. Again, nothing doing - it was all either outdated information, Samsung had patched vulnerabilities, or the methods were just time-wasting idiots posting hoax fixes which did nothing. It was worth it to a point though because I got several tips and picked up some software. Then after about 8hrs, I stumbled across another post from someone here on XDA https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s6-edge/help/reactivation-lock-bypass-samsung-account-t3625723#post73617288. Massive thanks to him/her. The basis of his/her method definitely works, but I had a few improvements, particularly concerning the dialling of emergency numbers. So, that's the background to the issue I had and how I got to here. The following is the full method of what I did and I can say that I have a 100% fully functional S6 again. I've gone into this detail as I've found that a lot of posts can be a bit vague, so hopefully this helps someone out....
1. On the 1st setup wizard page after the factory reset has completed; select your language, then connect to (WiFi preferably). You then arrive at the Samsung Account sign-in and cannot proceed any further.
2. Make sure that your phone is NOT connected to your PC at this stage and just for clarity - also make sure than your SIM card is still in your phone. (Some instructions say to remove it, don't do that if you want this to work.)
3. Leave your phone alone for the moment.
4. Ensure that 'Samsung Drivers' for your phone are installed on your PC. (If they already are - great. If not, install them so that when you eventually connect your phone to your PC later, you can see it.
5. Next, download the terminal program here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4OYgE4A8WCzckpyTDVuODc4TWs/view It's called Realterm and is only about 12MB. (There are other newer versions of this available, but this one worked for my purposes.) Extract the program and install (running it as Admin) and ensure that all 4 boxes are 'ticked' as you install (i.e. usually 'source' & 'DLPortIO' boxes are un-ticked, so put a tick in both and then complete the install. As the install completes, un-tick both boxes 'Register' and 'Show ReadMe'. Done. You should now have 'Realterm' icon on your desktop.
6. Back to your phone now. With it still stuck at the Samsung Account sign-in window (or any preceding window), connect the phone to your PC. If an 'installing drivers' pop-up appears on your PC, wait for the Samsung driver to finish installing. If on the other hand, you phone connects to your PC straight away, then proceed straight to 'Manage'. (i.e. Right-click on 'My Computer', select 'Manage' and select 'Device Manager' from the left list. Then in the main window select 'Modems', then right-click on 'Samsung Mobile USB Modem' and select 'Properties'. Hit the 'Modem' tab at the top and simply note the Port. It should be Com & a number, for example 'Com3'. Once noted, you can now close all 'Manage' windows.
7. Open 'Realterm' from your desktop icon by right-clicking and running as admin. (a) On the 'Display' tab, ensure the 'Half Duplex' box has a tick inside it. Don't mess with any other settings here. (b) Then hit on the 'Port' and ensure that the port number you noted from #6 above is selected. If it's not, select it using the dropdown option and once selected, apply it by hitting the 'Change' button with the green check-mark to the right. (c) Once completed, then hit on the 'Send' tab. Open the extracted folder where you installed the terminal program from (#5 above) and open the 'code.txt' file. Copy/paste the first line of text to the very first blank box (i.e. directly under the tabs 'Display', 'Port', 'Capture' etc.) Then hit the 'Send ASCII' button. You should see the pasted text in the black terminal window above, followed by 'ok'. Now remove the pasted text and copy/paste the second line from the 'code.txt' file to the exact same location. Again, hit the 'Send ASCII' button. **Now, quickly look at your phone screen as it should be attempting to make a call to a dead '900' number. You need to be quick, but cancel the call by hitting the red phone symbol and 'quickly' hit on the 'Message' button as if you were going to send a text.
8. You should now arrive at a screen where you can send a text message to the dead number 900. In the text field, type 'www.google.com' and send the text. The text goes nowhere, but now you've created a hyperlink to Google that you can follow (as long as you have WiFi on). Follow it by clicking on the link and you arrive at Google home screen.
9. Search for Package Disabler Pro 9.8.
10. Download it and install it.
11. After installing, you might get a pop-up window to say that PDP Engine needs to be installed in order for Package Disabler Pro to work. If so, install that too.
12. I also found that searching for and installing ES File Explorer was hugely beneficial, because (a) you have extremely limited functionality on your phone (i.e. you can download the programs, but can't just pull-down from the top of your screen to select them as you may be used to doing. As in, they install, but may not be easily selectable so you have to navigate to their location to run them and (b) now that you have partial access again via Google, you need to be careful not to lose your window of opportunity.
13. So, once you've downloaded & installed #9, #11 (if needed) & #12, open Package Disabler Pro.
14. Search for "Samsung account".
15. Once found, click on it, 'Clear Data' and then 'Disable' it.
16. Go back to Google now and search for QuickShortMaker.
17. Install it and open it. (You may need to use ES File Explorer to be able to navigate to it and open it.)
18. Within 'QuickShortMaker' > 'Incremental search' > 'Activities'; search for "Setup Wizard". It should be near the bottom. There are lots of setup wizards once you find it so pay close attention to specifics here.
19. Select the one with ".setupwizards.SetupExitActivity". (It's near the bottom of that particular screen but again, you need to pay attention to the small print and ensure you select the right one.)
20. Once you find it, select 'Create'.
21. Done! You can now restart your phone and after you select your language, then connect to WiFi, you will bypass Samsung Account and gain full access to your phone.
After this you can go and check that there is no Samsung account displayed (i.e. Settings > Accounts). There won't be, but you won't be able to add one at this point either....
1. Go back to Package Disabler Pro and re-enable the "Samsung Account" option.
2. Go to Storage (Settings > Storage) and clear all cache.
3. Go to Find my Mobile (Settings > Lock screen and security > Find my Mobile) and from there you should be prompted to insert your Samsung Account details to successfully add your Samsung account.
4. Once completed, you can either choose to do a Factory data reset (from within 'Settings' > 'Backup and reset'. NOT from recovery. Or you can simply restart your phone if you don't need a factory reset and you should be good to go.
5. Done, now you should have your Samsung account registered to your phone and can sync with your account.
This is what worked for me anyway and gave me full access back to my S6 running stock 6.0.1.
I've tried to be as detailed as I could with this post to ensure all necessary steps are there to follow. It may seem daunting to some before you try it, but I assure you it's relatively straightfoward and I had no problems. I hope someone finds it helpful and it recovers your S6 too if you get stuck in a similar situation to me. All the best.

Hello. I know the thread is old but this may help. None of the Samsungs I've used did happen to work with Realterm yet (not saying it does not work). So here is an alternative that can drive you straight into the device setting. There choose "Easy Mode" an boom on the home screen. From home screen tap "easy settings/easy mode an activate normal mode. I tried this method on my Note 4 (SM-N910T) and It worked.
Steps :
1- Download and flash the firmware with Odin or whatever capable box/tool (but ou may skip this step if "lock screen like slide to unlock" is activated in the locked phone). To know this option is on just press power to turn off/on the screen. If you see a lock screen instead of the "choose language" screen go to step 2. If not "DON'T FACCTORY RESET". It won't help. Flash as many times as required until you get to a lock screen. Just off/on the sreen to see.
2- From the lock screen swipe on the "Phone" icon and choose the contact app.
3- On the new call window, tap "contacts" on the upper right then open options (the 3 vertical dots) and choose settings/contacts/accounts an add a google account. This account should have a contact with email in it. For example I added my google account which had many contacts with emailss, I then ranomly chose a name with email and tried to send an email.
4- From email editing screen select the 3 dots of options and go to accounts.
5- A seurity mini window will pop up. Accept it.
6- Boom you are in the settings.
7- Search for "easy mode" and apply it. You'll land on the home screen.
8- You can have access to normal screen by going to easy setting/easy mode/normal mode .and apply.
9- Direct install package disabler and other needed apps from pc or send them to your phone memory an manual install them.
10- Follow the instructions from The..King to bypass now that you can do it.
NB: BE CAREFUL NOT TO USE HOME BUTTON TO GO BACK TO HOME SCREEN OR YOU WILL BE WELCOME BY A BLANK BLACK SCREEN. USE BACK BUTTON INSTEAD. OR USE RECENT WINDOWS BUTTON TO ACCESS BEFORE USED APPS. IF YOU WANT TO CLEAR RECENT APPS KEEP "SETTINGS" WINDOWS AS YOU CAN HAVE THE CONTROL BACK THE EASY MODE/NORMAL MODE.

Works like balerina. I read this post many times. I have no Windows Machine thus I can not use amazing Real Term.
I found bloated 6.0.1 ROM for SM-G925F From Globe Philipines G925FXXS5DRB1_G925FOLB4DQJ1_G925FXXS5DRA2 . I understand the most important is How to open Browser . This ROM give a Golden Chance to access browser. I used other android phone to set up google account via NFC. After completing setting up google account ROM asking to add another email account. So I choose Yahoo > tap sign up > privacy policy it will pop up two option > open using Chrome or Samsung Browser. Choose Chrome.
A. Turn S6E to download mode.
B. Flash the bootloader (sboot.bin), hidden.img, system.img (i used heimdall on gentoo linux)
- heimdall flash --BOOTLOADER sboot.bin --HIDDEN hidden.img --SYSTEM system.img
- Nougat boot will booting 6.0 properly.
C. Booting up
D. Setup google account.
E. On the page to set another email. choose Yahoo > tap Sign Up > tap Privacy Policy > this will pop up the browser > choose chrome
From here you just follow above #9 to Finish.

This ROM give a Golden Chance to access browser. I used other android phone to set up google account via NFC. After completing setting up google account ROM asking to add another email account. So I choose Yahoo > tap sign up > privacy policy it will pop up two option > open using Chrome or Samsung Browser. Choose Chrome.
A. Turn S6E to download mode.
B. Flash the bootloader (sboot.bin), hidden.img, system.img (i used heimdall on gentoo linux)
- heimdall flash --BOOTLOADER sboot.bin --HIDDEN hidden.img --SYSTEM system.img
- Nougat boot will booting 6.0 properly.
C. Booting up
D. Setup google account.
E. On the page to set another email. choose Yahoo > tap Sign Up > tap Privacy Policy > this will pop up the browser > choose chrome
From here you just follow above #9 to Finish.

Is there some way to use heimdall in a Windows Machine?

FRP Bypass (Should work on other devices too!)

Hello to all my fellow XDA members! I have literally spent the last eight days attempting to get past the FRP (Factory Reset Protection) lock on my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920V). As many of you may know, it is nearly impossible, as the Verizon phones have a locked bootloader and thus we cannot install TWRP. Using Odin to reflash OEM firmware does not do the trick either, as FRP persists past all of this.
Well, I have finally come across a solution. The first problem I encountered was that I was on Nougat 7.0 firmware. You want to downgrade to Marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware, which can be found by googling "N920VVRS3BPI1_N920VVZW3BPI1_N920VVRS3BPI1_HOME.zip". That is a ROM specific to the SM-N920V. If you are on any other carrier, this will NOT work for you, so you will need to find the Marshmallow ROM for your respective device.
***Please Note: This should work on any device that can be downgraded to Marshmallow 6.0.1 or earlier, but it is NOT guaranteed. I have NOT tested it on any other devices than my Note 5. Please do feel free to try and report back.
Using Marshmallow allows us to take advantage of a bluetooth bypass where we can access apps, namely Chrome and Settings. An important note about the bluetooth headset is that it can be any headset but it must have a button that invokes voice command, i.e Siri or Google Assistant. This will not work otherwise!
Firstly, I must give credit where credit is due, so credit to @MrMike2182 with his "How to downgrade from Nougat 7 to Marshmellow 6.0.1" post, which is how I got the idea in the first place. In his post, you can find a link to download the ROM. Other credit goes to GLOBAL Skills on YouTube with their "Samsung note 5 frp Google bypass as always %100 works" video. I hate the way they worded their title and it seems like one of those fake videos but trust me, it works.
What you need: (I would suggest downloading these from APKMirror for no frills or troubles. Don't download them now, wait until you get to Chrome on the device.)
Odin3 v3.12.3
Marshmallow ROM for your device
USB Cable
Bluetooth Headset
Google Account Manager 6.0.1 APK
Quick Shortcut Manager 2.4.0 APK
Steps:
Reboot into Download Mode. For the Note 5, this is acheived by pressing and holding the power button, volume down button, and home button. A screen will pop up asking if you want to continue. Press the volume up key.
Connect your device to the computer through the USB cable
In Odin, click AP and choose your Marshmallow ROM. Flash the ROM and let the phone reboot
Put your bluetooth headset in pairing mode
Tap "Emergency Call" and type 112
Once the call screen pops up, tap bluetooth, wait for the device to appear and when done pairing, end the call
Setup a wifi connection
Press the voice command key on your bluetooth headset and choose Google
Say anything, it doesn't matter, we just need to get to the search screen
Once at the search screen, type in Chrome, then choose the Chrome app
Using Chrome, download the Google Account Manager apk (wait until it finishes downloading to tap open and install it right away)
The system is going to tell you that the install is blocked as we need to enable the installation of apps from unknown sources. Tap on settings and tap the slider next to "Unknown sources". Make sure you uncheck the "Allow this installation only" box so we don't have to repeat the process.
Once the install is finished, click done. Now download the Quick Shortcut Manager and install that. When that install is done, open the app.
In the "Input keyword to filter" field, type in Google Account Manager. Tap on it to expand the tasks. Tap on the first one that says "Type Email and Password" (NOT the .EduLoginActivity one).
Tap Try, which will take you to a screen prompting you for your password. In the upper right hand corner, tap the three dots for the "Browser Sign-In" option, and acknowledge the terms.
Now login using whatever Google account you want associated with the phone. It might take a while, don't worry.
Restart the phone. When it restarts, keep tapping next to get through the setup process. When you reach "Just a sec...", this might also take a while. Do not worry :silly:
Done! You can finish out the setup process however you like. Enjoy your phone!

What Country are you in? In the US & Canada, police emergency dial is 911

I am in the US. Tennessee to be exact.
On N920V Nougat 7.0 Download Mode blocked by FRP . And impossible to flash nothing for downgrade
I was able to flash to image
and now I can join a bluetooth headset to the device, but the voice key thing is not working for me.

worked for me!
Anybody want to test out my kernel image. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Hl90m3sKz3rQVv7CCziHkA3hiV2m7qyn I think I found out what is causing no root/ no boot on the verizon note 5. Just download my zip, unpack set aside. Now split your booted boot.img and copy name of zImage in your split image folder. Rename downloaded Image to the name of your zimage and put in your booted split image folder replacing your exisiting zimage. Repack and install into your device. See if it boots and give root privilege.
I cant test because I dont have sm-n920v no more, but applied verizon code to my sm-N920p kernel and I got the no boot, or stuck on galaxy note screen that happens when you try to do with verizon note 5. I removed code and kernel booted.
