motorola defy overclock

hello
defy can overclocked higher from 1.3GHz ????
If you see the topic about OC, you will see people at 1400, but i think it's too dangerous. Even 1200 is a bit dangerous for me, phone goes to 39º-40º when the normal here is 34º-35º at 800 and 36º at 1000.
ok how i can overclocked defy to 1.4GHz ????
search.........
search setvsel on forum
Untill bootloader will (hopefuly) be unlocked and oc kernels will be made. Stay lower then 1300 and 85 vsel.

please any one give me setting for setvsel to keep battery life better
i use wifi a lot
you are posting in the wrong section and you aren't even
clear about what you want.
it's either over 1.3ghz or bettert life. pick ONE and just try
it yourself. SetVsel is pretty good and easy to use. You
shouldn't have to ask how. And as for the settings, it differs
for each and every sigle device, you can't exactly use other
people's settings anyway.
so quit asking and TRY it yourself.
1.3Ghz can be done.
Milestone overclock tried 1.35 with 74v . preety good when not running 3d game.
score: 1.8++
No need to go above 1ghz because the heaviest game on android is asphalt 6 i believe and then you have dungeon hunter II but i wouldn't recommend you to go anywhere above 1ghz as it risks your CPU's life and affects it. You can try overclocking to 1.2ghz only if you want to try out NDS4DROID lol.

Dungeon Hunter and asphalt work pretty good/smooth on 1200mhz havent test it on 1ghz. Havent found any lag game yet btw. Only games missing texture but thats cortex.
Playing Dungeon Hunter II and Asphalt 6 without any lag in 1Ghz (300/24, 600/36, 1000/56 @80 threshould). Only take care with undervolt, if it's too low the phone will reboot.

Does Rom Effect on GPU or CPY

Hi All,i m android game developer and currently working on 3D racing game.... so while testing my own game on my Nexus S it lag alot but testing same build on my friend's nexus S it doesn't....
My rom and kernel details are
Rom : JellyShot 3.2
OS : 4.2.2
Kernel : marmite 7.3.1
My friend's Rom details
Rom : Stock non rooted
OS : 4.1.1
Kernel : Stock
So does Rom affects on GPU or CPU...
which Rom will be good for me ???
Thanks

I used to think it was the available memory that had most of the effect on the gaming speed. You could overclock that Rom as well.
The best results I have had for gaming were with kernels and ROM combination that included custom IO control and with a lot of free RAM .. the best example is Metal Dragon Overload...
What about rasBeanJelly i read many Positive reviews about it.... and it has high benchmark score...!!!

Exactly.. Metal Dragon is based on Rasbean but has some other features.. I haven't tested it against rasbean.. or the 4.2.2 rasbean.. I just know it is fast and it is my go-to rom for 3D temple run game speed.. with zero tweaking and zero added apps..

[GUIDE] Gaming Performance Boost

How do you know if your device could play Games like Asphalt 8 on max settings without lag
Open Antutu Benchmark
Test and wait for the 3D graphics part ( the pool thing )
If your Fps is from 35-40FPS then your phone can handle games like A8 on max settings
If no, then better sulk and regret buying your entry level device
FPS
30-40 - Excellent your device can handle games like those at max settings with ease
20-30 - Good enough, your device could handle games but with occasional stuttering on max settings
10-20 - Bad,your device might have have a hard time running those is settings are not kept to a low or medium
0-10 - Very bad, this means your device is crappy and is not made for games like MC 4, A8 & etc.
My device scores around 0-10 what do I do?
First make sure your device is Rooted and has a recovery like CWM or TWRP
then you first flash this
after that flash Pure Performances X and see the magic
Overclocking the CPU and GPU would wield better results in gaming at the expense of battery life
Best Settings
Governor: OndemandX or Scary
I/O Scheduler: cfq or sio
Thanks! I never tried AnTuTu, but it's probably a good idea to.
Xperia j
After installing those two things antutu force closes when the 2d test starts. Games force close almost immediately after launch.
Not really much of a gaming performance boost.

+1. The only game that didn't crash was real racing 3, and Flappy bird!!
@Thanatos , don't you test this stuff before posting?
Don't use Hypercola when benchmarking, I suggest you use Minimalised version
This is awesome mod I tried in htc explorer but is it safe to flash in jb cm10 as the website says any gb rom

int.d support required right? ...add link if possible
yep, all you need to do is download universal init.d to get init.d support.
I think hypercola would work fine on JB too
It worked to some extent on Xperia miro .
Would it be safe to use AdrenoBooster and PurePerformances X after overclocking the device with Riches Kernel? Would this work on CM10?
Thanks!
I get around 3 FPS. LOL
Yep, that would work, on CM 10
3d games not working on xperia tipo after flashing this on 2d games work

[Q] Moto G for Gaming? Should I?

Okay hi
I'm new to this forum and was thinking to buy a Moto G ( XT1033 16Gb) mostly for gaming purposes. So the Adreno series is awesome with Open GL ES 3.0 support. So my questions are -
1. As the title says - Moto G for Gaming? Should I?
2. Would Moto g be able to play most of the games in the play store right now and those coming after at medium settings ( i.e. Modern combat 4 and , asphalt series , real racing , and many others) ?
3. Okay so the Adreno 3xx series has GL 3.0 support? How is GL 3.0 better than 2.0 and would all games be able to utilize the new API? Also does it provide any significant performance boost?
4. I know best ROMS/KERNEL threads are banned but I want to ask that can anybody recommend me a good rom and kernel combination for Moto G? Most probably a good one is the fauxkernel + Nexus G , is the combination good for gaming?
5. Or should I stay at stock with a new kernel?
6. The screen is awesome , can it be a good one for a gamer?
7. At last , again should I go with the purchase , it's an awesome phone ( Yeah I need it just for gaming purposes ) and of course the development is good , so is the gaming power of Moto G real good or just good at low settings?
Thanks a lot , this would help a lot of gamers out there
Please can anybody help me ?

If you looking for a pure gaming phone look some where else . If you want an all round phone which can also be used for ocassional gaming (at decent frame rates) and is not heavy on the pocket Moto G is not a bad choice .
You have too many questions .. only time can answer some of them

Ahh , hope i get answered sooooon!!
And what about any other alternative at below 20k Rs ?
I would say it handles games pretty darn well for a phone at its price. I can play games like shadowgun deadzone, asphalt 8, dead trigger and even the GTA games at a very smooth frame rate at all times. If you put a custom ROM and kernel on your device you can get even more performance for the same amount of money.

[Q] Best kernel for gaming?

I've been playing modern combat 5 and asphalt 8 on Linaro kernel (Based on Franco), initially games ran smooth but now I'm facing glitches every now and then.. Specially multiplayer mode on mc5, while shooting someone in a closer range game laggs.. When someone joins the battle, there's a minor glitch.. A grenade blows and game laggs a bit.. I'm using the least possible graphical settings.. Its not possible for a completely lagg free performance on any kernel, but please suggest me a better kernel for gaming for better performance..
Thanks in advance [emoji4]
There is no "best kernel for gaming". Only adjusting the governors, CPU & GPU settings makes any kernel better for gaming.
Best kernel threads are against the rules.
