Support vlc://http://video streaming ? - MX Player

I have a question you can add to the MX PLAYER startup options via video link:
If I have become fixed on the HTML page .... It is caused by the feature of → vlc: //
LINK:
vlc://http://something.com/something.mkw
Call up all the android player with support for VLC. Interesting that just running to play may KM PLAYER.
So I ask if he would go add support also MX PLAYER. And to make video play that way. Thanks

This method is used long ago. Eventhough It's supported by some third party browsers, Google no longer supports the custom schemes to call the app. It won't work on chrome as well from version 25.
Instead you can launch any app by using appropriate intents. MX Player supports various intenet parameters. You can call MX Player directly and pass more details like subtitles, titles, etc.
You can refer MX Player API page on official site for more information.

[Q] Using MX player or another player in Chrome

So I like to use MXplayer or Diceplayer as a default video player.
I notice that if I use the build in browser and play an embedded video on the internet it would ask me to use a video player which is great.
But Chrome does not give me the option, but rather just use the default built in video player which is horrible.
Is there a way to make another video player as default for Chrome?
No responses....
I want to know Answer to this also
If a video is playing in chrome. .. right click and save video. .. it will create a play list in mx player..
You then open from mx player and it will be playing from there. ..
Works on a stream

Unable to set MX player as default

In Firefox you can longpress on a link and get a menu that offers "open with app" When the link is to a video file, the list used to include MX player. It no longer does.
Perhaps MX player isn't registered properly as a video player target? How would I fix this?
This is on a brand new Samsung Galaxy S6, so both Firefox and MX were installed last Wednesday and should be up to the latest version.
Thanks,
Ed Greenberg

What's the file format (I mean the file extension)...?
If it's a m3u playlist,
firefox sends standard mime (i.e audio/x-mpegurl). But, audio mime is disabled by default for mx player.
This is basically due to the misuse of m3u extension. m3u is originally designed for audio streaming. later apple has improved it's in Unicode format to stream videos & audio. It's extension is m3u8. Currently people are using m3u for video streaming as well. This is were the issue starts. Since m3u is defined as audio mime only apps with audio mime will be listed.
When you enable Audio Player inside MX settings it will be listed in firefox.
FYI,
m3u related MIMEs are added internally on MX Player's manifests & some additional fixes added to pathpattern based filtering. So, next version of the mx player will add support for m3u without enabling audio player & will fix file association issues caused by poor MIME declaration of many other third party apps.

How to play streaming fmp4 link in android

Hi I just got a streaming link with fmp4 extention (eg: something.fmp4?uid=*** etc)
So uc browser can't play this link. Uc browser shows only 5sec video duration which is not correct. I have searched on Google about fmp4. But i didn't get any results for streaming fmp4. I just want to play it on android. I tried mx player too but didn't worked (codec not supported) . I think some different codec need to install but I don't know which codec support fmp4.
I just need to play it on android.
Update: even vlc player in windows can't play fmp4 link

Feature Request: Float Video Player & Streaming Recoding

Helo Developers. Kindly Add two of the Very Needy & Futuristic features in MX Player Pro.
1. The MX Player must be of Floating video player. we can watch videos while playing games or texting to someone. As it is so much needed feature.
2. The MX Player Must Record the Live TV Streams. It should be added.
3. The MX Player Must Support to Save organize the Tv streams List according or desire by user.
I hope so, developers must have keen observation on it. And we enjoy also these features in near future. Thanks.

[Feature request] Automatic frame rate switching

Hello,
I'm a registered user of MX Player (MX Player Pro) and I miss this feature on my NVIDIA SHIELD TV. NVIDIA is not going to add automatic frame rate switching because they say this feature should be implemented in each video application, not in firmware. MX Player is the video player with the best picture quality I have ever seen, but this feature is necessary on NSTV because we have to set the frame rate manually in Settings for each video file.
Thank you. Best regards.
I need this function for Amazon Fire TV 4K too. Please implement this, if possible. Hint: The SmartYouTubeTV app (free on github) has working AFR.
Please implement this feature! The Vimu Player, Plex, Emby works better!

or KMplayer.
If you use Kodi and set MX Player as the default video player in playerfactorycore.xml it will switch the refresh rate first, then send the video to MX Player to handle the playback.
