There is a "Update-binary" script inside Meta-inf folder of OTA (official) update.
Can i use this script for any custom recovery flash-able rom (custom rom) ?
Is there any easiest method to make "Update script" for my phone for flashing rom by custom recovery ?
I am using Oppo X9009/Oppo R9/Oppo F1 plus

In this topic I'm telling u how get back to your stock rom without ODIN flash..
I have used it when my USB doesn't work to get back stock for assistence..
works sure on every samsung device, not sure for all other.
If you can't or aren't able to do this, ask me and I'll do it for you :highfive:
There are two method, follow what do you prefer:
METHOD A:
What do u need
windows
stock rom
dsixda kitchen
cgwyn
java
What do u have to do
1. INSTALL DSIXDA KITCHEN
install java.exe
unzip kitchen; rename this folder in "kitchen"
unzip cgwyn
put the extracted cgwyn folder in C:
click on Cgwyn (link) and wait a few sec; when u have a input line close it
copy kitchen folder in C:\cigwin\home\your username
2. RUN DSIXDA KITCHEN
open cygwin and write cd kitchen
write ./menu
3. MAKE THE ROM
unzip the stock rom and put the unzipped files (not in a folder) in C:cygwin\home\your username\kitchen\original_update
write 1
write 99
then follow the instruction and made the rom
rom is in C:cygwin\home\your username\kitchen\OUTPUT_ZIP
DONE
METHOD B:
What do u need
windows
stock rom
custom rom
Diskinternals Linux reader
1. MAKE THE ROM
rename stock rom.tar.md5 in stock rom.tar
rename stock rom in stockrom and custom rom in stockrom (only for made talking easier..)
unzip stockrom
unzip custom rom; delete system folder and boot.img
open Diskinternals Linux reader and mount system.img.ext4 ; copy the result (system folder) in custom rom
copy boot.img from stockrom into custom rom
zip META-INF, system and boot.img
DONE
Flash/ stock cwm rom list

i tried everything not working for my device(galaxy 551) i also modified the updater script manually.....
i checked that the kitchen is producing the wrong format and mount point of your device .......still not working...
what method have u followed? The first, isn't it?
lenovo A319
i am still in the research phase before rooting so,
Now i figured out three ways to install a custom room
1- adb: unlock boatloader ,flash custom recovery , and using it to install a custom rom .zip file
i like this method , neat easy , i understand it and i have needed files
2-mtkdroid tool:
it needs files have extension which is in existed inside the custom rom .zip file, and also want md5 file which is not compatible with my lenovo anyways
3-flash tool: same thing need files i have no idea about, and doesnt exist in the custom rom .zip file
i made a scatter file from my stock phone using mtkdroid -which i have no idea what is that file-
are mtkdroid and flashtool used together???and if so then why all the headache while using the adb solve the whole thing in couple of lines?
I have setup a working folder with android kitchen from the stock system.img and boot.img but the problem is with the updater script as I don't know the mount points and all the other things of the stock rom I am actually making a flashable zip of my stock rom so I don't have to get on my computer again and again to flash it whenever i need to pls help me..............the default update script that the kitchen made was not accepted by TWRP saying that the update binary was incorrect.................................PLs Pls help me..................is there any use of the scatter file to get the updater scripts????????????????????................Please suggest me a solution pls
hi @ante0
after a week of using oreo,i've downgraded to C185B187.
oreo has some issues like draining battery, weird "undetected root" error after installing busybox in /system/xbin (u have to make a new folder in system first, then install busybox) and over heating even when the phone is in charge and fully charged already...
now i need those root files that u gave me before for b182 !
Need a boot image (and can u explain what this image does? )
(also how to make one )
and SuperSU-v2.82-SR5
SuperSU 2.82 SR5 if you decrypt: https://download.chainfire.eu/1220/SuperSU/SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502.zip
SuperSU 2.82 SR5 if you stay encrypted: https://mega.nz/#!ZTBQXZra!JHUocH9oMEApULxfLYm9VO5UPhjHNMGLymkXDY_ihhI
Boot MHA-L29C185B187: https://mega.nz/#!IL4gxCaL!_O0B1rm-eys5Ta8CnD5BfXsyLTGM3RXdtZ09v7kWUk4
Or you could just make a backup of your current boot image using TWRP.
If you want to do it yourself in the future:
Download your current firmware from http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/
Extract update.app from downloaded update.zip, download Huawei Update Extractor (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454)
Open update.app in Huawei Update Extractor, rightclick on what you want to extract and select "Extract Selected".
This image can only be flashed using fastboot (at least when I extract it). You can unpack and repack using Android Image Kitchen to make a TWRP flashable image.
What boot is... It's the ramdisk and kernel.

Basically it tells your phone how to boot xD

It's just stock boot. SuperSU works fine with it when you're on B182+.
It's only useful if you want to flash back stock boot, to maybe switch to Magisk or if SuperSU doesn't want to update.
I did modify the SuperSU "for_encrypted", I just changed "KEEPENCRYPTED=false" to "true". It just tells the installer to not remove the encryption tag so it stays encrypted.
Edit: one reason to modify boot is to "pre-root", but it's not needed for Mate 9. Another is to remove encryption or verity manually.
Hi
I have a problem.
I was wanted flash to my tablet custom ROM. I installed TWRP and delete my actually software. Now i can't install now software bc i have error "META-INF[...]".
Mover the zip from ADB
