Nope, have you tried a hard reset?(hold vol up and the power button till it vibrates three times), have you tried a software repair via Xperia companion?, is it a stock unrooted device?, what firmware version+region is it on?, what model no?, what revision no is the device? Have you flashed any ftf's via flashtool? All important things missing from your post.

Found out issue, very litte bending or pushing phone body cause shutdown, seems hardware issue.
I will return it to seller for repair/replace.

Yes I do, that seems to be a bad quality battrey been used in this device, My battrey has died after 3 weeks of use only. I return it to the dealer, hopes they give me a new one instead of repaire.

Phone returned to repair. I ordered UCH12 charger and I'm curious how long new battery/phone will last with this fast charging.

[Q] Is my phone dead?

My phone is bone is stock. It has never been rooted or anything.
It got it wet a few months ago, but it continued to work fine. It's been dropped a couple of times, but has a case.
In the last 2 weeks it has shut off by itself a handful of times, and wouldn't power on unless I pulled the battery.
Last night it shut off, I pulled the battery, and it still wouldn't turn on. Tried a different battery, and nothing. Plugged into the wall, and I got the drained battery symbol, then the almost charged battery symbol, then a blank, and finally after that, the phone would boot. However, as soon as you pull the charging cable the phone shuts off. Also now when you get it to boot up, there is no wifi and no mobile data. I tried booting it from the computer and all I get is the vibration like it wants to turn on, then nothing.
The only thing I have done is a factory reset and it still has the same problems.
I also don't have the latest update from Verizon since I'm in South America. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Please help! Thanks in advance.

can you get into odin/download mode?
if so flash the latest image and see if it works. if not then you probably have a hardware problem.
good luck

I tried getting into Recovery Mode and Odin/Download Mode with zero success. I was afraid it was a hardware problem. Is there anyway of figuring out what hardware issue it maybe, if in fact it's hardware related?

It's probably either a bad battery or a broken power button, if you're still under warranty go get it exchanged.

I have 2 batteries. The same issue with each battery. I'm not under the warranty. I have a service plan from Best Buy, but I'm in Argentina. Is there anyway to figure out for sure if it's the power button with out taking it to a technician?

There are YouTube videos that show you how to unstick a power button on the S3. Normally you have to bang it fairly hard against something, search for the video and see if it works for you. If it makes the situation better it's your power button.

Apparently it was the power button I'm suspecting. I pressed on it firmly on the edge of the counter last night, tried to turn it on this morning, and it powered up. Should I replace the power button?
Also I would like to root the phone now, but I think I'll start another thread for that one if I have any questions.
Thanks a ton guys!

[Help]Sony Xperia E - RED LED unchargable battery

Hello guys , I am having a serious problem with my Sony Xperia E , it seems to be bricked. Something went wrong , I heard it happens sometimes because of software bug or whatever , and your phone goes into this sleep mode , which won't charge at all. I mean , when I plug it in to charge , the red led lights up (once every 3-4 seconds) untill it finally starts up , but when it starts up it shutdowns since the battery is 0% and not charging. On the internet I could not find any help about Sony Xperia E and this red led error. So , if anyone knows what to do.. Please help me , I'm too lazy to take it to a service and besides I don't got money to spare for it

Hi Cezar and everyone else (this is my first post),
I had the exact same problem and i was sure i bricked my phone beyond repair but there is a way to fix it. So my first thought was to externaly charge my battery but you can't do that, so i came up with a way. You will need to strip one end of the USB cable and separate the black and the red wire. The red wire is positive and the black is negative. Put the two wires between the battery and the positive and negative sockets in your phone (like shown in the pictures [attached]). And now your phone will be charging .
And do not forget, red is the postive, black the negative!
I hope this solves your problem!
P.S. Don't mind the black box, I built it just so i can use it for projects to have a power source, it's just a switch and a LED

Hello,
I was in the exact same situation yesterday with my Xperia J but luckily i managed to fix it, Your battery is able to charge what's happened is it's completely flat like there's no juice left, So what you have to do Plug your charger in via Mains and leave it like that for a good hour or two, Take your phone off charge and push the power button and see if the red led flashes 3 times if it does this means your battery is still flat, So what i did next is plugged it in via USB and put it in flashmode attempting to flash stock rom back onto it, but that just completely failed so then i tried flashing CWM that did get me somewhere my phone booted up after but then it died again so i left it on charge via USB this time for one hour and it was charging as usual i then flashed Stock rom back onto it, it was still bricked after (bootloop) so i flashed it again, and it got my device back to good health, Not sure if any of that made sense but **** it

Thanks for the post and the help , but I have a question , in this way will I still be able to get things from my PC to my device and vice-versa ? or it will make it chargeable only ?
And also , is this the only way to deal the problem ? And do you have any ideea what causes this ?
Hi cezar,
Just keep your phone on origenal charger and cable for an hour. This should work.

Well with this method you will need a spare USB cabel for data transfer/flashing because this one will be just a USB on the one side and stripped wires on the other.
This is the only way I found how to deal with this problem, you could always find someone with the same phone so that he can charge your battery for you.
This problem is a symptom of a soft brick. I guess you flashed a ROM that isn't stable so you found yourself in a loop. My advice is to do one of the things I said and in the future flash nee ROMs with at least 50% battery so you don't find yourself in this situation!
P.S. Try SONYs Emma, thats a cute little program for flashing stock ROMs especially in situations like this one.

In my case this disnt't work because my phone was stuck in a loop, it would start charging, boot up by itself, get to the point that it has 0% battery and power off by itself.

hmm I just thought about this. I do have indeed a custom ROM , but this didn't happen in process of flashing. just randomly , a month maybe I after cyanogenmod 11. Anyways , I just thought about this. What if I get another batterry from one of my friends , flash back to stock on my device and then give back the battery to that guy. Wouldn't that just work ?

Z5 charging problem

Hi,
I bought Z5 3 days ago and I noticed little(?) problem with my battery. It is unable to charge above 98% (stops at 96 to 98). Should I worry about?
Reboot, charge again.
Battery needs time to settle

Does quick the quick charge 2.0 thing just work always or do you have to turn it on somewhere?

I've tried restaring twice without positive effect so far.
Never had such problem with ANY device EVER.
I´d recommend a complete and total RESET of the device. Of course you´ll loose all your data on the device
AND I can´t tell if that helps, but there is no better idea to get rid of that annoying behaviour of the device. Sorry.
Possibly you got lucky and got a defect one

OK, just a made simple step... Turned off Z5 and left it for charge. It charged successfully to 100%
Now had not charging problem on my Z5 premium,
Restarted, reset , data wipe etc..
xperia companion reset, now does not even connect to computer
seems to be bricked.
any other suggestions?
first try clearing cache partition which can also help calibrate the battery (power button and volume up until you feel 3 vibrations)

Charging light not turning on, but phone still warm.

So I have no idea what happened but my phone doesn't seem to be responding to any commands at all (vol + power) and when I plug it in directly or with a magnetic charger the charging light does not come on.
It was working fine up till a few minutes ago and I have no idea why it's doing this. Any ideas?

Bootloader locked, xposed installed and a custom rom.
Although it started working again (for no reason, same as why it stopped working) when I connected it to my computer it didn't register the charging light didn't come on or anything.

Happened again tonight. I will try another rom I guess and see if it happens again. Still I've never had an issue where Vol + Down wouldn't fix it on any set up for any phone I've ever had. I'm wondering if maybe this phone is dying.

Nah I don't think so, maybe there is a small hardware problem... Can you remember what you were doing before the phone powered off?
Dude, open it up from the back and check that all connectors are properly attached, check also the flex cables for cracks, you could have a damaged hardware piece.

I haved this issue 2 month ago tried everyway is possible to fix it but always failed, I think it's because battery,if. You plug your phone to charger more than 6 hours the led switch to red and if you hold power button you will see a empty battery icon but the problem is come from hardware not software trust me.
The only thing I done is just went to Sony warranty service and gave them my phone and they switched my (unlocked)phone with a locked phone.

because of your green flashing light. normally the light should stay on while charging or, blink 3 times if the battery is empty. but random flashes are a sign for a broken board.

If you're lucky and it's battery, then order battery from aliexpress and some stickers for back cover. If u do it right, then waterproof will remain (but it wouldn't risk too much).
If you're not so lucky try to find xz premium with broken screen on eBay and use it as donor for mainboard, as I doubt u will be able to find it cheap or at all.
