Xposed help. - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Tried installing Xposed on my s6. Tried with flash fire and TWRP. And it causes me every time to get a DM-VERITY fail. And also when I do install it. It says latest framework version isn't installed. What do I do?

First thing when you flash twrp, flash dm-verify disabler. Find it in twrp thread in original android development.

Do you have a link or anything? Searched twrp. But pulling up a lot. Is there a thread name I should be searching for? Thanks for the reply though!

Read carefully here
https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxys6.html
Ut doesn't provide dm-verify disabler as in S6 edge section. Just follow it's instruction if possible.

Maybe it's a device dependant. Probably won't work on non edge. Could soft brick the phone.

Well I tried to install that. But it tripped the DM-VERITY so now I'm just gonna flash stock firmware back on the phone so I don't lose data. And keep trying. I'm new at this whole thing. but I'm trying to learn. I could be messing everything up. Lol.

You're too fast lol. Ask in the respective thread how to handle the dm-verify. I haven't go thru in details but it works on stock kernel with s6 edge. For non edge need to use custom kernel to disable it?

[GUIDE] Trick To Root 4.3 VRUCNC1

Disclaimer: rooting your phone entails risk. You may brick it, cause it to catch fire, cause it to form the first node in the Skynet network, or otherwise render it inoperable.
Step 1: flash ML1_KERNEL.tar via ODIN.
Step 2: get saferoot from here.
direct download
Step 3: Unzip the saferoot.zip
You should have the following when done:
- a file called "install.bat"
- a file called "install.sh"
- a folder called "files"
Step 4 - Root your phone
Double click on the "install.bat" to run the root. It will root and reboot your phone. Once that's done, you're rooted!
Step 5: flash back NC1_KERNEL.tar via ODIN.
Now after you got root what to do! Check this usefull thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2653902
Thanks to:
K1mu for saferoot.

Thank you for this guide. It worked great. However, Wifi will not turn on now. Data works fine but no wifi. Usually I can find any information I need to fix a problem, but in this case I have been unsuccessful. So I am posting my very first reply. Any ideas of what happened? Or a way to fix?

What you did to get wifi not turn on?
try flash full rom again may help you.
If you can install safestrap and flash wifi modules may this work.
I forgot to mention that I stupidly tried to use EZ-Unlock knowing full well that the bootloader wouldn't unlock. Which resulted in a hard brick. I got out of that using a debrick SD card boot luckily. I planned on flashing with Odin again but thought I would ask first. Should I flash everything or just the WiFi modules?

No problem. Be sure to read the safestrap thread carefully. Especially the part about having to flash the kernel module each and every time you flash a ROM in order to have working Wi-Fi. Here is a thread that has a list of safestrap compatible ROMs:

Does anyone know of NC1 modules? I can only find ML1, and they don't work. I've tried flashing them twice on CleanROM 8.2, and still have no WiFi. Battery life on stock is KILLING ME, so I would really like to get this working.

I can compile the nc1 kernel but I cant test it as bootloader locked.
If I have the time will try to compile and take the modules, will download clean rom first hope my net connection still alive
could you not just flash the NC1 Kernel from the OP FIX, the one we flash back to the phone after rooting?

You have to disable reactivation lock while booted into a (near) stock ROM.

Hey thanks for replying!
My issues was actually just an isolated one. I was trying to flash a bootloader older than mine and SuperSU was being pain not wanting to flash.
So went back completely to stock, used chainfire root and finally the process was easy from. Somewhere, something was just being ignorant =)

I got it guys. Thanks so much. I'm still playing around and trying to figure it out. The only hiccup I had was it didn't flash the first go round. Second time did the trick. Now to figure out this magisk stuff! Lol.

Pattern and pin both work ok. Never use password. The only thing I I've found so far is trying to click on Samsung cloud in settings causes it to report that it's closed. It seems to be working though since I logged into shealth. It just force closes from the settings menu.

It's pretty awesome! I'm sure more people will find out. I was still checking the forum once every 2 or 3 weeks and hoping. I always run without a contract so I have to wait on phones till the price gets resonable.

The only sad thing now is that I may end up switching carriers and phones so I won't be able to try out the rom :crying:

Did you have any trouble other than having to retry? I keep just getting "SECURE CHECK FAIL : (BOOTLOADER)"

Sure do. Tried the QE2 and QC7 files in @koop1955 's big post, but both get the same error. I imagine because I'm on S6 Edge, not just S6?
Although, now it looks like he's working on a new rooting method, so maybe I should hang back a bit for now anyway.

First of all, thanks for keeping this fone alive. Quick question: I'm currently on QH1, will this work? Just trying to cover my bases before I try anything...

Thanks, @amieldl143, for the shout out. @baknblack, this should have all that you need: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sp...uide-links-files-update-root-restore-t3366862
Flash the TAR file with Odin (there is a how-to video), then root and TWRP and flash this great ROM. Enjoy!

Thanks for this, very helpful. I'm in a similar state from the guy above, currently running Renegade OJ7 v1, my kernel is 3.10.61-S6_UniKernel_v9-0000_beta, baseband version G925PVPU3BOJ7 and TWRP 2.8.7.0 with the most recent version of SuperSU.
My question is: should I bother with updating the kernel as well as flashing the TAR you linked to, or is just the TAR good enough? After that, should I mess with TWRP or leave it alone? Once I get that done, if I'm looking for a clean slate, should I just wipe all partitions and flash the ROM? If you can answer any/all of these it would be hugely helpful for a guy who doesn't do that much flashing and can't swing $800 on the new S8 right now.
Thank you!

I still have my edge and am running this. All I can tell you is you have to update to nougat first (flash the tar I think). It's been a long time since I did it. Once my phone was updated to the new firmware I then installed twrp and flashed the rom. That's about all I can remember. In my case it got hung in a boot loop and I had to flash a second time. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Any chance you can let me know which kernel you're running? I get a lot of lockscreen crashing on my existing one and wondering if there isn't a better one available.
edit: looked and realized there's a kernel included in the zip, my bad! thanks again!
