Hi,
has anyone tested any ROM for this Tablet? This tablet is educational and is restricted; there is no root or ROM in the supplier webpage. Even more there is no original ROM shared .
I want to remove the original ROM and install any ROM that works for this tablet.
These are the specs:
EUTB-I747
Processor Intel®Atom™ Z2520 (1.20 GHz)
RAM 1GB DDR3
Memory Flash 8 GB
Dual Camara
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I coudn't find much information about your device here, as you can see from this search result
You're the only person on XDA who's ever asked about this device. I'm afraid you're out of luck here then.

Yes, I know no much information about it. Howerver I want to try some ROM for similar hardware like ASUS Memopad 7 or Odys Intellitab 7. Thanks anyway!

It just means no one else is developing for it. If you're hell bent on using a custom rom then you might consider porting one yourself. That's what XDA is about anyway. It's not a rom factory, it's a knowledge factory.
If you're keen then check out the twrp porting guide and the cyanogenmod development wiki. You'll have to also find a root method that works.

No worries mate. Just make a new thread in Android General when you're ready. I'll have to close this one now that it's been answered (xda assist limitations.) Good to go!

Hello everyone!
My problem is probably simple for you, but seems an impossible mission for me. I am a not-so-proud owner of Prestigio Multiphone 5400 . I spend two days in searching how this particular device can get a custom rom running on it, but there wasn't even a topic which suggest roms. No youtube videos. Not a topic even here.
So guys if you can help me a little bit here. What ROM should I put? How to make the recovery (TeamWin says that there aare no recoveries for my phone;ROM manager says there are no Compatible ROMs). What is good for me, how to do it? It would be great if you help out a brother in need. Thank you!
*My phone specs are:
1ghz quad core
512mb of ram
**I am rocking a Jellybean 4.1.2, but it is some kind of slow distribution. No updates (just some custom firmware from Prestigio) The ROM can't handle the RAM (I know it's little but i need something which gives more performance.

Dear all,
I have tried in the past to backup and flash roms on some devices using Windows with some success. Now I have completely switched to Linux and have not been able to find a guide that would allow me to get started.
I have a Lenovo mobile (A806) that comes with good hardware but a crappy version of Android 4.4.2 that makes the user experience very unpleasant.
I am trying to figure out how to root my device, backup the rom currently on my device, find a custom rom (possibly based on Android 5),
flash it, and eventually troubleshooting common problems one might have. It might as well be that there are many other things I need to know, so please just let me know: I am here to learn.
I have no idea where to start to do this from Linux, so I would really appreciate if you folks could point me to the right tools/resources,
and help me getting started.
Thanks a lot in advance to all of you

Unfortunately, there is not much about your device on xda.
You can check this thread: Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 (A806) root.
There are some users which have managed to root this device.
Maybe they can help.
Good luck !

Hi Luca,
here is a thread about flashing ROMs on LINUX: Flash Rom under Linux.
And here another one: step 1 and 3 under linux ?
... but they are originally for another devices.
Here is a better guide: [ROM][DEV][REF] Heimdall Firmware Packages S4 LTE+ I9506 ... as you can see, it's for Samsung devices.
But it's a good read anyway.
Many thanks
I hope I can flash something soon!
Cheers,
Luca

There is still any dev for janice? :silly:
As some of u know, Google is going to release Android Go based on 8.0/8.1 which should work fine on 0,5GB devices, maybe second life for janice?
Official site
I think Janice still have some devs on, there was someone working on a 7.1 ROM, maybe we can have hope

Unfortunately I don't think it's enough, so I invite anyone to post here if you agree with this idea (or the idea to give your S Advance).

I understand, don't worry. :good:
I am disposed to take part in the collect, considering how much as now an s advance costs, wouldn't be so hard to get quickly the money and with very little effort for all.
I think that is a good idea and can really give a new life to our device.
Obviously a spare s advance of a willing and generous user would be the best thing we can hope in, but seems really hard to happen, however, my hope isn't died yet
Maybe on weekend i'll look into what changes are needed to run atleast nougat on it (from source), if this'll work then we'll think about Oreo xD

If you're really interested, I'd suggest to look at the Oreo rom of Chrono:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-ace/ace-2-develop/rom-lineageos-15-0-t3678722
and to look at the Chrono Kernel (compatible with janice but with some bugs):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...tom-kernel-t2793420/post74179403#post74179403
Ace II has the same chip of S Advance (with some code differences) and the dev is very helpful to explain how it works.
Two guys in the same project would be better than one guy on a single project.
As far as I know @sm_adil doesn't reply to any PM and Epirex is busy on his Moto phone.

Yes I agree two or more dev contributing to the same project will be good!!
However if you consider me as fully fledged dev you're wrong I'm more of web developer than android or java. I did build couple of kernel's for testing my skills but than again they were not so stable and I didn't had time to debug it!!
So yeah if get the time I do want to build a ROM for Janice :fingers-crossed:
I've got a Janice right here that I don't use. I'm actually looking right now for a way to root it and install whatever superior than the Gingerbread ROM it currently has, but the point is that it's available for testing purposes. Btw, is it possible to leave a phone number here?

Hi Isaak,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S Advance. I have been looking if anyone developing Android Go support for it. Found your post on the thread, https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s-advance/general/android-t3714953/page2
I want to learn how roms are built and I would like to support in developing Android Go rom for S Advance, if possible. Can you please guide me where I can start?
As per my experience, I have built a modified linux kernel with some modified device drivers and was able to boot it with a debian root filesystem on Freescale SabreLite board. But never built an android rom earlier.
Thanks
Srinivas

You could start from one of these tutorials:
https://nathanpfry.com/category/android/
I'm not good at compiling, I tried it and didn't like it. So I can't help you more than that.
For this reason, with the help of some xda users, I have donated a S Advance to @ChronoMonochrome.
Currently he's actively developing a new kernel and a new rom in this section:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s-advance/development
I think we could expect more roms with higher android versions, so your feedback is important.
Does anyone know if there is a Cyanogen or Lineage port or one in dev floating around somewhere?

Hi guys
I'm looking to update the firmware on this old tablet as it's a bit out of date and a bit sluggish it's been a long time since I've rooted or flashed anything android. I own a Linux satellite receiver and have flashed firmware images bootloader etc so hoping this will help me. I'm basically looking for a guide from start to finish to bring this tablet a bit more up to date, hope somebody can point me in the right direction.
Thanks.

Check if these 2 ROMs are enough stable for you: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...11-cm-14-1-based-android-4-4-4-7-1-2.3648887/
Thanks matteo I think I'd like to try your build I've read quite a few of your post and you seem to know quite a lot about these tablets all I need to know now is what to download and how to flash it
Thanks

What to download is in the thread (rom, gapps and twrp), and you can find instructions all over the internet. I've wrote something in my thread of lineage 16 and twrp on how to install them (lineage 16 has the same instructions as the other ROMs I've linked you) too. What I advice you is to understand well what you have to do before doing everything. Otherwise, it can happen that you'll come back and say: "device doesn't boot anymore, what to do now?"
Yes I'm trying to gather as much information as I can so as to avoid any problems when I actually try to do the flash process. I will read up some more.
Thanks again

Hi, I will ask maybe stupid question, since knowledge is 0 in terms of android, but is there a possibility to upload some ROM with android 9.0 to T230? (I even do not know if I haven't made mistake in question )
Anyway I need 9.0 for app and already rooted device following step by step instruction.
Thx in advance

Hi there. I have found an old SM-T230. I need to install some apps, which require at least Android 7. I fear, i have to find some GApps but thats a other story... if someone can assist to find the right ROM and GApps, this would be nice...
