I am disposed to take part in the collect, considering how much as now an s advance costs, wouldn't be so hard to get quickly the money and with very little effort for all.
I think that is a good idea and can really give a new life to our device.
Obviously a spare s advance of a willing and generous user would be the best thing we can hope in, but seems really hard to happen, however, my hope isn't died yet
Maybe on weekend i'll look into what changes are needed to run atleast nougat on it (from source), if this'll work then we'll think about Oreo xD

Yes I agree two or more dev contributing to the same project will be good!!
However if you consider me as fully fledged dev you're wrong I'm more of web developer than android or java. I did build couple of kernel's for testing my skills but than again they were not so stable and I didn't had time to debug it!!
So yeah if get the time I do want to build a ROM for Janice :fingers-crossed:

I thought S7500's was the same case as S5830's regarding the "L" thing...
In S5830L it means it's distributed in Latin America, but hardware is the same as S5830. The official CM for Galaxy Ace (cooper) is for S5830. I still have S5830L, installed CM on it and it worked. Only thing is, it changed the device name from S5830L to S5830. And also I asked that because since I live in Latin America the only Ace Plus I can get is S7500L.

Since Mini 2 is running on the same chip, the kernel for Mini 2 is also compatible with Ace Plus. I just needs an updated defconfig.

What "official sources" do you need in order for CM10 kernel to support overclocking? (I could use my time to look for it since I'm just a useless user....)
That'd be an almost imperative feature, and if you say "make it yourself and f*** off", well, sorry for not being developers like you (registration on this site should be restricted to dev-only...); or also that's why you *are* the devs and are announcing this possible work so we are indeed allowed to expect things from you...

I need a root file I unroot my tablet but still have clock work mod install.
and I may need a stock rom for the tablet
and now I want the best rom with jellybeans because I tried nightly changed 10.1 and it was really buggy like the boot screen was screwed up and it would do crazy stuff just to put it in development words I want the best rom with jelly bean 4.2.2 and it is in beta or is finished with other support thank you!

Sure, and I will tell you more - I still consider myself a newbie. I admit it, and it doesnt offend me. I will never know, or be able to do a fraction of what some people here are capable of, and I am grateful for all this knowledge being shared with everyone. I still try my best to contribute to the community in some ways I can (being just a user, not a dev in any capacity). My guess is there is no working kernel for this device, and since we don't have a working device tree to build kernels or even complete kernel source, it's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

I have not heard of anyone working on this... Unfortunately the developer support for this device is very minimal. We can't even get a basic AOSP ROM much less a full Linux distribution. Until the price comes down and some devs with a bit of skill pick this up there likely won't be much besides stock based ROMs.

MIUI 7 is indeed an awsome rom, I used it for a long time, the only problem is the Google play services fc other than that it is a perfect rom.

Yeah, if you see the other miui thread for n900, i mentioned that my pc broke and cannot help. So apparently i'm going PC-less for a while, and it broke deeper than expected and need to buy new one.
BUT, if i need new pc= money. And i don't have sufficient amount to buy 1 (going to buy the high specd one, make things easier :laugh: ) So i have to work part-time to get it
BUT, part-time needs time, which i don't have since final test comes in a couple of months, which will decide if i will get my highschool diploma :victory: (yeah, i'm that young) and that's why i said that it will come out half, of end of April.
Also, the other miui rom will be ready soon, so yeah. Hopefully my version will be better :laugh:
So that's pretty much it. Hope this explains it

Hey I have a Blu Life One X2. I am a developer and have made some really good findings. I also built some tools (autoroot, toolkit, etc..).

I made my own rom, and so have a few others. We based it off the stock roms, as we cant get any other rom booting (except CM13; lots of bugs)
If possible, can you assist us? Like:
1. Did you port lineage or compile it? What guides did you follow (links please)?
2. Have you compiled the kernel? Our kernel will not boot no matter what (compiled with a ton of different toolchains too);
3. What device do you use for porting?
4. Do you have a /system RW crash (crash when mounting system as RW)?

I understand your disappointment.
However, it's not that simple as you may think. As a student I have to focus on school subjects and it really takes pretty much my whole free time. Also, this school year I have to defend my diploma thesis and this is my main task to focus on as for now.
You've mentioned my work on other devices too - yeah, I have couple of them to play with. But it doesn't mean I forgot about Pure XL. Other devices are just easier to deal with than this freaking Chinese clone. All of them have been maintained at the same time. Source code is always available on my GitHub profile, wanna try yourself?

You´re completely right. We thank you for your time and effort put to make this phone be more awesome. BLU is the big liar here. I don´t even use my phone as a Blu Pure XL, instead I use the X2Xtreme rom fully.
Take your time @bemolx and don´t mind what non-developers say in the forums, they´re always asking for ETAs and to make things better just for their daily use and dont know the effort put behind every custom thing made.
I really hope you succeed on your thesis (good) cheers man!

You've mentioned my work on other devices too - yeah, I have couple of them to play with. But it doesn't mean I forgot about Pure XL. Other devices are just easier to deal with than this freaking Chinese clone. All of them have been maintained at the same time. Yeah no I understand what @Superbat1680 is trying to say but at the same time I also understand what @bemolx is going this being a Final year student who also has to defend his thesis I can understand pretty much what he's going through
I'd just like to say that may you be successful in your defense and hopefully we can get a good custom rom in the near future

Well for now focus on finishing the university, we'll be rooting for you and maybe in the near future or so after you finish with all, when you have free time and the spirit to start working on a custom rom for this phone we'll see you post an update. I personally would love if you could make a version of android that is the latest like Oreo is now...until then I hope you're having a great day.

I'm working on implementing CLT for Pure XL to get a booting GSI Treble image. I'd say it will be a semi-Treble ROM rather that pure Treble or custom ROM. I hope I will post some update soon.
Who knows, maybe even Pie will boot, who knows..

Can't wait to test this rom on my Allview X2 Soul Xtreme and of course give you feedback.
I don't know if it's because of the stock rom or not, but the phone just freezes from time to time(making me force restart the phone), especially when it get hot. Maybe... hopefully this rom will help with that.
Besides, being unable to update from 5.1.1 makes it that some apps are incompatible which sucks.
