Help! Device in TWRP no OS and completely wiped storage. Cant access storage on PC - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

I was installing a rom and for some reason it wiped my whole tablet. Now I only have twrp and cant get my PC to detect it to load a new rom. Any advice?

Take your SD card and put into card slot of PC. Load your rom.zip into the SD card. Reinsert into tablet, boot into recovery and install the rom.zip from the sd card.

Well, if your SD card is in fact mounted physically...
If you plug the phone into your computer, does it recognize the phone as a removable disk?
I assume that you've tried removing and then it re-inserting it?
What size/class/condition is the SD card?
sounds like you have your phone plugged into your computer and on disk mode. set it to charge only before trying to use rom manager, or the better option would be to just reboot to recovery, and install zip from sd (point it to the rom.zip file on your sdcard and flash that way)

SD Card isssue

So I got the 32Gb samsung Sd card. Had a 16Gb in my phone. Wife had 8Gb in her skyrocket. Took my 16Gb card, copied all data to PC, then put 32Gb in my phone. Copied all data from pc to new 32Gb card on my phone. All good. Then took wifes phone, copied all data to pc. Installed my 16Gb in her phone, erased all data. Installed all her data off pc to 16Gb card. All seems good. We both have the Skyrocket SGIII R4 on phones with CWM recovery. HER phone will recognized SD card in CWM. MY phone cant mount SD card in CWM. Why wont my phone with new SD see it in CWM? Do I need to format it through windows?
SD card works in all other aspects...connects to windows, restores from mybackup pro....Put the 16Gb back in my phone with all her data, and CWM will let me install fron SD card.
What format is the sdcard on, fat32?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
Yes. I took it out of package and put in phone, says FAT32 on pc
Tried formatting thru phone and copy data back on, but same thing. CWM says cant moun E sd card...
Tried reinstalling CWM. Wont mount sd card
What CWM are you using?
Try using this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566613
And make sure the microsd clicks with the spring when you insert it on your phone.
Flashed that in odin, booted into recovery, chose install zip from sd, select. Then it just flash the clockword screen over and over every 3 seconds....
Went back to CWM i think 5.0.2.6. And sd card "clicks" in place.
BUT....I went to mounts and storage in CWM, and chose mount sd card. Went back to install zip from sd....and boom, theres all my zips!

Haha nice, I had a problem with the later CWM not detecting my sdcard so I went and flashed back to the old one and it worked just fine, didnt really have to remount but I guess that was needed on your end. :good:

Phone not booting after SD card got fried!?

My sd card is fried. I tried loading it on my pc with no luck. I am planning to go and get another one. However, will the phone still boot without the system files that were on the sd card? If not how can I fix it.
Thanks
"If your problem is that you cannot mount the SDCard (as opposed to being able to mount it but it is empty) I ran into something similar during my 2nd ROM flashing experience. I got into this state by doing a factory wipe from the bootloader screen (as opposed to doing it from recovery). This wiped my entire SDCard partition, even the filesystem on it. So when I booted into Android, it failed to mount the SDCard altogether, saying that it was corrupted.
I had to re-format the SDCard from Windows in order to recover, by doing the following:
1. Boot into recovery (for me was TWRP 2.1.8.1)
2. Select "Mount"
3. Checkmark "Mount SDCard"
4. Connect device to PC via USB cable
5. Select "Mount USB Storage" in TWRP
6. On the PC, find the SDCard's drive in My Computer, right-click on it, and select "Format"
7. Proceed with formatting the SDCard ("Quick Format" is fine)
8. Safely remove the USB storage from Windows
9. Reboot the device
Upon rebooting, the SDCard mounted fine, although all data was erased."

Will this work for me if i get a fresh sd card and follow these steps?
yes, but, make sure you uninstall all apps from the sd card before you insert the new microsd

Well, yes im hoping to get a new fresh sd card with nothing in it. Another thing, I removed the fried sd card and now the phone is booting. I hope it continues with a new sd card in it.

Can't Install Healthy .ZIP file from SD Card

Long Version:
----------------------------------
Hello. I was preparing for a full wipe of my phone (Galaxy S3 i9300) for a clean flash for my next ROM. So I did was I got a SD Card Reader and plugged my SD Card in and put it in a laptop to copy the files, while suddenly, my SD Card got corrupted. I tried to format the SD Card with the same SD Card Reader (not knowing the Card Reader was faulty) but it made things worse. So, I took a different Card Reader, and formatted the SD Card and now all seems well. Until, when I put the .ZIP file in the SD Card, put the SD Card on my phone, and install .ZIP from SD Card on my phone using TWRP (2.8.6.1), it displays the error "E: Zip file is corrupt!" So naturally, I restarted the phone into recovery, formatted the SD Card using TWRP, changed the file system to FAT (vfat) and it displays the error "E: Unknown MTP message type: 1", then I tried repairing the file system, and it was successful. So I did was put the .ZIP in the SD Card again and try it again, with no luck.
I have already used all of these to format the SD Card and the phone still thinks the .ZIP file from the SD Card is corrupted:
Diskpart
Chkdsk
EaseUs Master Partition
Windows Format
SD Formatter (v4.0)
---------------------------------------
TL;DR
Phone got fully wiped, SD Card got corrupted while transfering files because of faulty Card Reader, SD Card got formatted a lot of times, Finally got the SD Card running, but now, if I put it inside the phone, it thinks the .ZIP File from the SD Card is corrupted.
What should I do?
p.s. (I already downloaded the same .ZIP file multiple times to make sure it was healthy, and it is)

Yes, the .zip file does work. I can open it on my pc
Sadly, I can't get a new SD Card. Mainly because I need this SD Card because it is a 32GB SDHC Class 10 SanDisk SD Card, and it's not cheap to get a new replacement (of the same SD Card).
I would like to know how to fix this corrupted SD Card. Because everytime I plug it into my PC (and use Windows Check Drive for Errors, and Chkdsk) and find there's no errors. And then when I finished placing the files into the SD Card, when I plug it the next time, everything got corrupted, but Windows still does not detect any errors on the drive..... wut

Copy paste via USB cable? The ZIP might be corrupted in a way that the script is broken or somehing. Try copypasting the file via USB and if that doesn't work download a different ZIP.

Thanks for all the help. I was in contact with SanDisk and they are willing to replace the corrupted microSD Card. Anyways, thank you

TWRP Wont Mount External SD

I have the FRD-L14 which I managed to unlock the bootloader and all. Anyways, something must have gone wrong, not it wont boot, so I'm trying to go back to stock ROM for it (found a version off the net).
Put the ZIP onto an SD Card (Formated to FAT32), and get into TWRP 3.0.2-0, which won't see the external SD (no mount option).
What do I do?
I can't mount the phone to the computer either since the computer doesn't recognize it as a device.
Thanks!
