I've a little problem on my surnia (it seems in stuck with screen black, backlighted, only when switched off and a usb is plugged for recharge, in other words recharge status, and its animation, seems don't work correctly).
Issue appeared after I've tried to remove the warning logo (at boot), flashing accidentaly the logo.bin for "moto e", and not for my version.
I'm searching more information about how these logo are done: where they are written and how (are a file? a partition?) to try to solve my problem ( I've tried to reinstall s.o., do several wipe, but the recharge status remain always bugged, and also the correct boot logo (alternative to warning message, correct for my phone model) untouched)
the two logo.bin differ for size (but this not seems much helpful), however I've noted that in their .zip there's a "script" (I think for twrp flash) which seems tell, that logo.bin will be written to /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/logo. Investigating this path with twrp file manager I'm in stuck because under platform folder I've only a /soc.0 folder?

There is a good amount of topics on modded boot logos on this forum. Why wouldn't you just pick a bootlogo suitable for your rom and flash that? it still boots right?

However, apart this, and my little problem (which I've brutally solved) the question about how do a logo, an animation, which file/partition they involve still remain..
maybe this forum is intended only to download themes/apps and flash them, without question about how make them (and their function)?

Huawei U8110 - Boot Loop + Cannot boot into recovery

Hello everybody.
Although I've been following the forum since longtime ago, this is my first post. I hope this is the beginning of a more active and regular participation . Once I've introduced myself, I'll explain my problem:
I've got a Huawei U8110 from Movistar which seems to be in a boot loop as it gets stuck at the Android logo screen. I got it from eBay and it was already in an unusable state. I knew that but I thought it was a good opportunity to make my first steps in this amazing world.
After surfing the Internet for days and reading tons of posts to document myself, I decided re-flash the phone . I tried several stock ROMs (Yoigo, T-Mobile and again Movistar) and I was able to flash them without problems from an SD card. However, I got always the same result with all of them, always stuck at the Android logo. For info, when I bought the phone, it had the original stock ROM from Movistar.
As I've said, I've got no problems to flash the stock ROMs from a SD card. I can also enter into the bootloader mode. Nevertheless, I cannot boot into the recovery mode because after pressing the keys combination "Vol up + Call + Power On", I get into a purple / magenta screen where I can do nothing.
I've tried to root the phone and flash a custom recovery from bootloader mode. Through the rooting process, I can flash the image OK with fastboot tool but at the reboot time, I come again over the boot loop at the Android logo. Same thing for the custom recovery… I get to flash de recovery image but if I try to boot into the recovery mode, I get again de purple / magenta screen.
I'm a bit lost and I don't know what else can I do… Any help would be really appreciated.

I've forgotten to comment that if I enter "fastboot getvar all", the result is only "all:" without any variable output... Maybe the bootloader is corrupted?

you can try odin? find the pit and flash a new boot loader.

Phone Bricked!!

So I f*cked up really bad here. I had the unlocked bootloader message, so I decided to fix it. Unbeknownst to me, the logo that I replaced was for Moto G. I have unlocked and rooted the phone to CM11 and I have TWRP on the phone.

Edit- I managed to access the fastboot menu by holding power and vol up. And I've applied the correct logo.bin. Now the M symbol is there, but it will stay frozen.

Edit2* After restarting the phone and leaving the symbol there for an abnormally long time, the phone started to work again . Not sure if the long symbol time will stay, I use TWRP and reflashed the phone to CM11 so it's currently reinstalling. Will update soon!
Edit3* There is a lag between the logo to the boot up animation. Is there anyway to fix this?
Edit 4* The lag was actually always there, a Fido symbol just took up it's place

You might want to wipe dalvik and cache to be safe.
Flashing a boot image won't brick your phone. It's just an animated gif file, nothing else. It doesn't overwrite any system files, other than the original boot image.

OnePlus One CM12S is stuck on booting, shows only CYANOGEN logo

Hi,
I bought my OnePlus One (64 GB Sandstone Black) in September 2014. Since I got the phone, everything was running very quickly & smoothly. I did not have any problems with it, so I was very pleased with my brand new phone.
I did not tamper at all with my OnePlus One phone and every time there was a new OTA update, I updated it with the latest version. Currently my OPO has the latest Cyanogen OS 12 OTA updates (CM12S).
Last Friday I used my phone and everything was running very good, as usual. I shut down my phone and went to bed. The next day, on Saturday morning when I turned on the phone, it started showing the OnePlus One logo (with the text "powered by android"). Then CYANOGEN logo appeared on the screen and nothing happened. I waited near my phone for half an hour and nothing happened, it kept showing the CYANOGEN logo. It's like a cycle that never ends. So now I am facing a huge problem with my OPO: every time I press the power button, my OnePlus One gets stuck while booting, showing only the CYANOGEN logo. :crying:

As I said before, I did not tampered with my OPO, I did not flash it, I did not installed any ROM, I did not installed a custom recovery. Also, I did not drop my phone, so it is in good hardware condition. Every time there were new updates, I updated it with the latest OTA updates. I did not have any issues after the updates, so I don't understand why now it gets stuck on booting (especially since before this problem appeared, everything was working great, as usual).
I read through the forums, the internet and tried to find several solutions, without wiping my data. After two days in which I could not use my phone, I removed my SIM from the OPO and now I am using a normal phone (only for calls and SMS).
After my OPO gets stuck while booting, showing only the CYANOGEN logo, I connect it to my laptop using the USB cable (the same one used for charging), but I cannot access my files. Before this huge problem appeared, I could easily connect my OPO to my laptop. I updated the drivers, but it did not work.

I want to save my media files (pictures, recordings, clips, audio files), my documents and messages.
For other suggestions found on the forums, I did not use at all, because I do not want to erase all data of the phone.
My OPO can boot into recovery mode (Please see picture named "OPO Cyanogen Recovery.JPG"), so I can see the Cyanogen Recovery menu, but I do not want to wipe all my data and do a factory reset. I want to first save my data and afterwards I can erase all data and reset my OPO.
Problem: my OPO gets stuck while booting, showing only the CYANOGEN logo. I wait and wait and nothing happens (today I waited for two hours, the logo is still there and the phone does not start).
I want to:
1) Save to my computer my files (media files, documents) and messages (SMS and chat messages, like viber and so on)
2) Solve this boot logo issue (OPO stuck on booting, while showing only the CYANOGEN logo)
Any help regarding this problem is enormously appreciated.

Well that sucks. You could try to install TWRP through fastboot and use it to mount the phone as a USB storage device, I think that could work.

So your ota s update is in storage
Go to recovery
Install update
Navigate to 0/android /data/com.cyngn.fota/cache folder
There live your update and reflash the last update
Pm becarefull do not install wrong file and downgrade
Check the name or post it here for help

In the Cyanogen Recovery Menu I clicked on Apply Update, the Choose from internal storage
In the 0/android /data/com.cyngn.fota/cache folder I found this file: cm-12.0-YNG1TAS17L-bacon-signed.zip
What should I do next? Doing this will help me fix the booting cycle issue? Or it will help to save my data?

Will help you with bootloop if is rom issue
Flash ota first is cyanogen 5.0.2
Your data is safe
The other suggestion from oneplus is little risky
You should after take backup to connect with pc and tranfer your backup to pc if you factory reset or unlock bootloader
You will need proper drivers for that
Check how enable twrp mtp storage for pc
Follow the steps one by one before try it .

LG G Pad 7.0 V410

Just wanting some advice (if any) to a white line issue I'm having with this tablet. I bought this tablet with Lollipop 5.0.1 already installed. I managed to get it downgraded, rooted, and currently have TWRP installed as well as CM12.1 nightly. The problem I have is that as soon as I install ANY custom recovery (TWRP or CWM recovery) it boots normally at first giving me the LG logo. Then, instead of getting the AT&T logo (or the CM custom boot animation), it gives me a series of white lines spamming from top to bottom of the screen. I know for a fact it has to be software related as when I return to stock KK everything boots fine, giving me the LG logo followed by the AT&T logo. I did NOT use the ADB method. Instead I downgraded using the LG Flash Tool, and a test KDZ file, which allowed me to install Flashify, then TWRP. My problem ONLY begins once I install ANY custom recovery. This process did not unlock my bootloader, however. Could this be my culprit, or would it be something else? Any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance for any help/tips. More information is completely available upon request.
P.S. The white lines eventually disappear when the screen goes to sleep on it's own. I can then press the power button to wake the device which gives me the lock screen as normal. I just want to know if I can get the boot animation working. Everything else works fine.

Moto G 2013 flash rom or recovery doesn't work

So i have a Moto G XT1033, to give some context, it was just fine, then my USB power cable started malfunctioning (i tested another, was just fine), the next day it was powering and i noticed the battery level wouldn't move, so i removed the cable and the symbol of powering was still there, i tried rebooting and nothing. So i had the brilliant idea to leave it run out of battery, and when i power it again, got stuck at system logo (lineage 14 i had), same thing with recovery, stuck at TWRP logo, and i have bootloader unlocked.
Then i tried wipe/factory reset with adb fastboot, reflash TWRP, seems good, no errrors, but nothing, even when i tried a different TWRP version, it seems okay, but got stuck at the old version logo, like the flash doesn't work at all.
Tried flash another roms with fastboot/mfastboot, stock 4.4, 5.0, 5.1, again seems ok, no errors, and still stuck at lineage logo.
I followed both these https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219 and https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help/how-to-unbrick-moto-g-falcon-t3394788 the first one doesn't work, the second i can't see my moto g as qhsusb_bulk or Qualcomm HS-USB QLoader 9008.
Something curious is that when i use fastboot boot recovery.img, it kind works because i see the version changed, but still got stuck at logo.
Resuming, can't boot system or recovery, flash rom or recovery doesn't seem to work, and booting another recovery kind of work, any ideas?
Another thing, it had some battery problem already, when it was about 45% battery, he just power off, but something like 2-3 hours before that happens
